Hello, my engaged, wedding planning friends! I am Kayla Newsome, a wedding photographer based in New Braunfels, but work to tell people's stories in Austin, San Antonio and all through Central Texas. I am a happy, bubbly, and a little type A photographer for sophisticated, modern couples who like to let their hair down and have some fun. My couples love whole heartedly and wear their hearts on their sleeves. I like to explain my photography style as timeless, traditional and in-the-moment. I love true to life colors and try to emulate that in my editing style. I LOVE, love, love fine details and always strive to capture my clients' day in an emotive way. These pictures will tell your story for forever and I want your great-great grandchild to FEEL the love you shared on your wedding day, when they look at the pictures. When you book with KNP, you are not only booking a wedding photographer, you are booking a full experience. From beginning to end, I will be your go-to gal, your confidant, your paparazzi, your organizer, your timeline expert, and really anything you ask me to help with (I am an enneagram 2 so being of service is what brings me joy in life). I love to offer my clients an exclusive, top notch wedding experience and I do everything in my power to eliminate any stress along the way. We are low key, but organized and on it, around here! otherwise we’d have been fairly awkward in front of the camera. The smiles in our photographs were genuine as she made us laugh and feel so comfortable with her sweet and funny personality! It honestly felt as if my best friend were behind the camera taking our photos. That’s how awesome she makes you feel!! e most fun prompts that resulted in some of my favorite pictures. She was also very on top of what pictures needed to be taken on the wedding day. She asked for specific shots we wanted before hand and showed us a list of all the family pictures that she had planned to take and asked if there were any more or any others that needed to be taken. She made sure that the pictures were taken and that everyone was seen and miraculously doing it all very quickly. She gave very clear directions and was very in control of the picture situation, but during the reception and the party she captured moments and was not seen but just let the moments happen and did a beautiful job of capturing them. You could tell that she really cared about making our day special and she did a wonderful job.

Before our engagements, my then fiance and I were kinda nervous about looking stiff or awkward (we usually get nervous in front of cameras lol), but we were amazed how comfortable Kayla made us feel during that first shoot. Since then, she continued to make the whole process so seamless and has done an AMAZING job of capturing our raw, romantic, and quirky love. ur engagement shoot and wedding photos. The time passed so quickly! Also, the pictures Kayla took are our favorite pictures. After our engagement shoot, we had so many amazing pictures that we had a hard time picking which pictures to print. And then our wedding pictures were the same. We had over 1,500 pictures and we literally LOVE them all!! In addition to being incredibly talented, Kayla is just the best person, so fun and she has the best energy!! We truly had such a blast and truly felt like she cared so so much! You can absolutely tell how much she loves what she does and it shows!! We will for sure reach out to Kayla in the future to have to capture all our important life events throughout the years because there is no one I would trust as much with our future family photos.
