comfortable. After reaching out to her via her website link we set up a phone conversation. During our phone conversation we realized not only is her work gorgeous, but she herself is so warm and friendly! Between her work and her personality, we knew we wanted her to photographer for our wedding and promptly told her so! She was the first thing we found for the wedding at this point! We had no venue, no vendors, no planner, nothing! As wedding planning furthered and we started to book our venue and other vendors we also had the opportunity to take our engagement photos with Kayla. We left that day and could not stop talking about how comfortable we felt in front of her camera. We laughed and genuinely smiled so much. Plus, the photos were incredible! We kept in consistent communication with Kayla and before we knew it, it was our wedding weekend!
It’s truly difficult to put into words how incredible Kayla was to have been there on our wedding day. She is not only an incredible photographer but also makes you feel like her best friend. The whole day she was checking in on me to make sure I didn’t need or want anything (food, restroom, water, a break moment from photos). She made myself, my husband, and our entire group of family and friends feel so comfortable in front of the camera and went completely out of her way to do above and beyond her job. We feel so grateful to have found her!! We absolutely adore her and will cherish all of the photos she took for the rest of our lives.

Prior to our wedding, Kayla’s insight helped structure our day. She built two schedule options to help decide whether or not we wanted a “first look.” With so little wedding experience of our own, we greatly appreciated her guidance. We ultimately went the “first look” route so we could make the most of our time with Kayla before the wedding and maximize time enjoying our reception with guests, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Kayla was picture perfect on wedding day. She made the trek to our destination venue in North Carolina. She took everything in stride - from dodging periodic rain to corralling our large wedding party - and maintained her calm and composure. We got all the shots on our list and kept close to the schedule. My husband and I were able to enjoy the day knowing Kayla had things under control.
Finally, we got to relive the entire day once the photos gallery was ready. The “sneak peak” was in our inbox the next day, and the full gallery was complete within six weeks. We let Kayla know beforehand how important it was to us for the photos to be rich and colorful, and it was clear she took that input to heart. We’re so grateful to have Kayla as our friend and photographer. We’d hire her all over again if we could!
