I can’t say enough about Kelly!! Not only was she professional, positive, and just wonderful all around but the most important person for our ceremony. Her script was used by the DJ, the photographer, the event coordinator, and the venue staff for a seamless afternoon. Her years of experience helped the ceremony be smooth & her heart felt ceremony had everyone tearing up. The rehearsal was quick, informative & perfectly prepared everyone to know what to do. Kelly made it a point to personalize everything moment of our ceremony & she spread joy over the entire day. We’re excited to have her renew our vows just to spend another afternoon with her lol!

We had Kelly officiate our wedding in late spring of this year. She spent time with us via email and zoom call and really did her best to get to know my partner and I. Between her summary of our relationship thus far and the reading she performed, she really did a great job making a beautiful ceremony. Kelly has also worked with our venue before, so she knew the quirks of the site and her experience helped everything flow nicely. I'm not sure if she's only in TC area, but if you're in need of officiating services we cannot recommend Kelly enough. Thank you again!

We honestly couldn’t have had the perfect wedding day we did without her assistance! Not only was she our coordinator but she also officiated or wedding! If you are looking for an amazing officiant Kelly is your lady!! I actually got the chance to meet Kelly prior to our wedding because she also officiated my Dads wedding 3 months before mine! I got married on 11/11/23, and from the start Kelly was so incredible. She is extremely professional, personable, and made our ceremony an absolute dream. I was blown away with her script that she wrote for our ceremony and also worked so well with our vendors. She made sure to mention all of the small things, and made everyone laugh, cry, and truly captured our love. All of our guests absolutely loved Kelly and mentioned how amazing she is!! We chose Kelly to officiate our intimate October 11th wedding, and she was so wonderful! Kelly is such a sweet person, and made us feel special. We selected her Short and Sweet package. Throughout the whole process of writing our ceremony script, Kelly was quick with communication, offered helpful suggestions, and her attention to detail was something my husband and I really appreciated. She is professional, but still kept it lighthearted and fun! She wrote truly beautiful words for our ceremony, and we now have a wonderful memory that will last a lifetime. Our family kept saying all evening how heartfelt our ceremony was. Kelly is the best! Kelly recently officiated our ceremony on July 1, 2023, and we could not have imagined a more perfect day. We were already civilly married prior to our planned big day but were looking for something fairly simple to give us that wedding ceremony experience. Throughout the planning process Kelly was responsive, professional, organized, an absolute PLEASURE to work with. She had such a warm energy that made us feel super comfortable in our choice right from the very beginning. We wanted to keep our ceremony quick, light, and fun but not sacrifice the emotional elements and Kelly’s script options delivered on just that. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple through phone and Zoom calls and even had us both write our own personal portion of the vows that we had kept secret from each other until the ceremony when she incorporated them into her script. Our whole experience with Kelly was super laid back, personal, and most importantly, fun! We highly, highly recommend reaching out to Kelly if you are looking for an officiant!

Initially it took some convincing for my husband to say yes to hiring an officiant, but after our call with Kelly to learn more about her services and process he was totally on board! It was obvious she could deliver a better ceremony than we would be able to with a family member. Leading up to the wedding, Kelly was super organized and made sure we completed our homework. The questionnaire we filled out really helped me think about aspects I hadn't put much thought into. She customized our ceremony and we had the opportunity to review everything to make sure it was aligned with our vision. We had our rehearsal the evening prior and I really appreciated the time she spent with us to make sure we felt ready for the big day. We couldn't be happier with the beautiful ceremony that Kelly created. It was so personal and so many of our guests came up to us afterwards to compliment her and tell us how emotional it made them.

We were coming from out of state to elope on the beach at the tip of Old Mission Peninsula, and wanted to find an officiant to perform a simple ceremony - with only about 2 months' notice. In the time leading up to our special day, Kelly ushered us through the process of figuring out exactly what elements we wanted in our ceremony, and provided exactly the right mix of incorporating our vision, while also giving her expert guidance. We met with her over Zoom, exchanged emails several times, and worked on our wedding script together. She totally put us at ease. She is incredibly warm, responsive, and has a wealth of expertise and "mad skillz". We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kelly, who helped us turn our elopement into an amazingly joyful, meaningful wedding. We are so thrilled to have found KD Events and grateful to Kelly for helping make our day transcendent and perfect! I can't recommend Kelly enough for your officiant needs! We interviewed a few options and after speaking with Kelly, it was a no brainer. She didn't have a canned script, rather Kelly took the time to talk with us and get to know our hopes for the ceremony and who we are as a couple. She fully customized our ceremony and gave us free reign to review and make edits. Kelly also put together a beautiful intro to the ceremony which was a surprise for the groom and myself. She emailed us separately asking a few questions and wrote it from our responses. It was such a nice touch that totally personalized the ceremony. I never thought the ceremony would be our guest's favorite part of our wedding but I can't tell you the amount of compliments we received from friends and family. I would recommend Kelly to ANYONE, she is a breath of fresh air!

Kelly was nothing short of amazing. She met with us via email, over the phone, and over zoom to make sure that our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. My husband and I opted to have a private ceremony, so we really relied on Kelly to advise and assist us in everything from selecting our vows to setting up a cell phone to record the ceremony. My partner and I went with the Make It Legal package because a big wedding just wasn’t something we needed or wanted, and even with that package Mrs. Kelly was amazingly helpful! She helped look at locations to get married, gave information about the process, and was super fun and friendly! She was amazing! I’m really glad we chose her as the one to officiate us. She has a very upbeat attitude and made a day we were a little nervous about feel a lot more chill and fun! Kelly was excellent when it came to planning my wedding! Living out of state and with COVID restrictions constantly changing it would have been way to much to handle on my own. She was able to speak with vendors and help with alternative options when I was unable to during the day due to my work schedule. What could have been an extremely stressful time for me turned out to be a smooth process thanks to Kelly. Not to mention her organizational and leadership skills were key during the wedding weekend!

Kelly officiated my wedding in July. She was extremely professional and kept us informed through the entire process. Kelly Diss officiated our daughters weddings and she well prepared, on time, and she made the ceremony warm and personal. We had a minister as a guest that said he was going to take some pointers from her. Highly recommend.

Kelly did an amazing job officiating! She was very detail oriented, organized, and made sure the ceremony was personal, light hearted, and engaging. I never doubted that it was going to be perfect, and it was! I highly recommend Kelly!

I am a wedding officiant, event planner, photographer & graphic designer . I guess you could say I enjoy all things having to do with weddings. I became an ordained minister when I was approached my my niece and her husband to officiate their wedding. You could say I jumped in with both feet. I did tons of research to find out how to become a minister and took even more classes to refine the skill. I have been writing and presenting couples love stories ever since. We reside in Traverse City, I am happily married for 33 years and we have 4 awesome adult kids.
