Padraic grew up working in his parents' village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015. Through some chance work opportunities he became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue and learned his way around a wood-fired smoker. After welding his own smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence, Padraic held his first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016. Since then, Keane’s has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service. Opening a popular BBQ take-out service in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston in 2020. Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering offers a wide range of services: Full Service Catering for events – From event set-up to tear down. Keanes will serve your guests from cocktails through dessert and make your party a breeze. Keanes provides a range of services from bar services to passed appetizers, stationary grazing for cocktail hour with a staff serviced buffet or family style dinner. We provide a range of non-alcoholic options including coffee and tea service, and for desserts we can order them for you or set up and maintain a station with what ever desserts you choose to provide. Typically we arrive 2 hours before your guests to set-up our kitchen, get the smoker fired up and if needed stage tableware, utensils and napkins. For our bar this time is spent staging and icing down product. Generally this means we have 2 hours for set up and 1 hour for breakdown and about 3 - 5 hours for our agreed upon menu. Our clean-up includes a sweep on the venue to ensure all trash or rentals from our contracted services is removed and taken care of so you can focus on enjoying your special day. Everything is made from scratch and we provide an assortment of house-made pickles and sauces for your guests to choose from at no extra charge. We also have vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options if you have guests with dietary restrictions. We bring in everything that we need, including our friendly & helpful staff to make sure your event is legendary! To compliment our full-service catering we can also help booking rentals including tents, tables, linens, silverware, and dishware. Save the Date For Full-service catering we have a Save the date $1000 deposit, and a $3000 minimum. Additional ways to enjoy Keane's: Express Catering and holiday packages – With 72 hours notice - pick-up or drop-off services. Friday Night BBQ take-out from from 4-8pm at our shop in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston.

They delivered on not only the amazing food (our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious it all was) but also on setting up all the table decorations, handling cleanup, and making sure the reception went flawlessly. I would absolutely recommend Keanes to cater any event, but especially a wedding! We could not be more thrilled with how exceptional they made our wedding day!

and the entire staff was so helpful and kind on the day of the wedding. I’ve heard so many stories of couples not getting a chance to eat the food on their wedding day, but the staff helped my Maid of Honor put a little sampler plate together during cocktail hour while we were busy with pictures so we actually got to try some of everything! This was also one of the only caterers we found who provided family style service, which was something we really wanted, and we were so happy with how it turned out. Also the table sauces were a huge hit, people were so excited to take them home! Truly cannot recommend them enough for both food quality and general level of service.

They have a huge menu that adequately accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions and preferences. Kim is incredible to work with and made sure, through countless rounds of e-mails, that we got exactly what we wanted from our event. I can't recommend Kim, specifically, highly enough. On the day of our wedding my now-husband and I received a personal dish of hors d'oeuvres to attempt to eat in between chatting with guests during the cocktail hour! Unfortunately, as the bride & groom, you barely get to eat on your wedding day but this definitely helped us get our hands on some food. We also got served first during our buffet style dinner and all the staff were so lovely! We received so many compliments on both the food and the service at the event! We received the HIGHEST compliments on the brisket (my husband's grandfather, who's 86, said the brisket was the best piece of meat he's EVER had), the mac & cheese (our gluten-free guests were THRILLED to be able to eat a huge selection of the food at the buffet), and the portobello mushrooms (my friend who doesn't like portobello mushrooms loved it and I personally thought it was a much more unique treatment of portobello mushrooms than would usually be served at a restaurant). We also heard from so many people who got shout outs on their outfits from the catering staff which made everyone feel wonderful. Keane's did a stellar job and we're so grateful they were part of our day!

disappointed with so many other options out there- they all looked so boring and flavorless- until we found Keane's. Padraic worked with us every step of the way and made sure we had options for vegetarian guests, were happy with the budget, and felt at ease. I can't stress the importance of that during such a hectic time. It was truly something we didn't have to worry about! Right after the ceremony, the Keane's staff made rounds with trays of delicious apps (yum, the keilbasa!) When it was time for dinner, they called each table up to the buffet where the most amazing brisket, chicken and sides were served. When it came time to cut the cake, the staff even helped with that- above and beyond every step of the way! To this day, so many guests continue to talk about the food at our wedding, which was one of our favorite parts as well. If you want sophisticated & delicious food, but a more casual vibe, like we did, Keane's is the perfect answer.

Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering was founded in 2016 by husband and wife, Padraic and Kaylyn Keane. They brought together their love of wood-fired barbecue with fermentation and locally sourced products. Providing a unique wood-fired catering experience, and offering some of the best barbecue in the region to clients all over Southern New England. Together with their dedicated team, they curate delicious barbecued cuisine that is ideal for special occasions and entertaining and showcases their passion for Southern-style dishes using quality produce.
