I’ve been photographing weddings since 2012. I live for these unique ventures of witnessing and unobtrusively capturing the genuine moments of two people in love. I love the unposed and in-between instances, the gentle touches and loving glances, the grand scene of the day, the quiet, close details, and everything in-between. Capturing love stories is an honor - thankful would be an understatement. My other half, Garrett, is a great help in this endeavor with photographing weddings, introducing more 35mm film into our work, challenging me to be greater, and supporting my dreams. I love him immensely. When I’m not behind a camera, I am most likely spending time with family, traveling, or have my nose in a book. How do I even begin to write this review?! Before you continue to read, please know that I really don't have the proper words to express my complete gratitude to Kearsten, her incredible photography skills, or her lovely personality.
When I found Kearsten's page on The Knot, I knew that her style of wedding photography was different than most wedding photographers, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Not only can she capture the emotions in her photos, but she edits them so beautifully. Our videographer told me that when he saw her page, he could almost "smell the oak" in her photos. The composition, lighting and coloring of each one is just perfect!
Aside from her skill, Kearsten is just a wonderful old soul, down to earth, person. After our first meeting, it was clear that she really wanted to get to know us -- not only so that she could capture what we were looking for -- but so that she could capture who we are. She spent time studying the Pinterest page I sent her, and remembered each shot that we requested beforehand on the day of our wedding. She was sensitive to family drama, and handled corralling our large, hectic families beautifully. When taking photos of just me and my husband, she knew exactly what direction to give us (two very awkward/camera shy individuals), and she laughed and joked with us the entire time. It didn't feel like we were with a stranger, but instead an old time friend.
We received our photos way faster than we expected too! I cried when we looked through the album. We got to relive the joy of our day - seeing not only the expressions on our faces and love for each other, but those of our guests as well. Further, if you're someone like me who unfortunately struggles with low self esteem and typically hates being in photos, look no further. Kearsten's work will make you feel more confident and more beautiful than ever.
I couldn't recommend anyone more highly than Kearsten to help you with your wedding. The thoughtfulness that she puts into every interaction is above and beyond what I expected from a wedding photographer! She even made the USB with our album on it beautiful (it's gold/glass in a beautiful linen boxed case)!
I hope this review helps you make your decision! I am so grateful to have found her, and I plan to work with her again for all our photography needs in the future! Until that then, I will continue to recommend her to family, friends, and anyone else I meet who needs a wedding photographer.

THE BEST! Not only were our photos absolutely perfect but Kearsten and her husband made us and our guests feel so comfortable. There's always something a little awkward about having your photo taken and I truly did not feel that way once the entire day. She followed all the direction that was sent ahead of time and really crated the vibe that we wanted. Hire Kearsten for your wedding, you will not regret it.
Kearsten is so amazing at what she does! She did our engagement and wedding photos and they were beyond what we could have ever imagined. I cannot recommend Kearsten and Garrett enough!! We booked both our engagement and wedding photos through them and they turned out *INCREDIBLE*! They are truly masters of their craft.
Additionally, me and my husband really appreciated Kearsten and Garrett's personality. They are so warm and authentic, it really helped create a safe space to allow our true personalities to shine in pictures. Seriously. Even our guests commented on how much they liked talking to them!

Kearsten is a dream to work with! Her photos are magical beyond words, especially the ones captured on film. Beyond her photography talent, she is so thorough with her communication and paying attention to details throughout the entire process, from sending a form and asking questions prior, to walking us through each shot on the day-of, and keeping us updated with her editing timeline after. On our wedding day, she stood by my side the entire time and checked in throughout to make sure I was doing okay. Her husband, Garrett, was also a joy to work with and they stayed in sync the entire day, tag teaming different areas to capture photos. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better photographer pair to capture our wedding! My family and I will cherish their timeless photos for the rest of lives and generations to follow. We’re so thankful we found them!
We absolutely loved working with Kearsten!! She shot both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. We had a general vision for both and she was so helpful with finding locations, suggesting poses and making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Between our family and the wedding party there were a lot of people to wrangle. She was so professional and efficient that we were able to get all of the shots we wanted and even got to the church early. Our photos are absolutely beautiful, Kearsten really captured every moment and we will cherish them forever.
My husband and I were married in August of 2019, only a few months before the familiar was unexpectedly exiled into history. While traversing the new world, we have also experienced personal changes like having a baby and moving, and as a result, our relationship is transformed daily. All this to say, stages of life and even some versions of myself have been consigned to the past faster than I could have imagined, so to take back from time, please, hire Kearsten and Garret to photograph your life. I should have written this review years ago, but at least now I can genuinely share that choosing the best photographer does matter. Because of Kearsten and Garret, we cherish a beautiful collection of images documenting our engagement and wedding day, and truly, we also cherish them for giving that to us. They took our future nostalgia seriously. The only rival to their talent is the presence they offer. Kearsten gently guided us when she thought it was necessary but never startled a moment away, and Garret, afraid of nothing, dared us all, even the guests, into our most free selves. With her peace and his confidence—two things I definitely needed that day—they dusted the atmosphere. Calmly, they turned their observations into a tender interpretation of our wedding day like only their old soul eyes could have seen. It was a privilege to be photographed by such artists. These are two breathtaking people who masterfully, kindly, wisely pull at the beauty and significance around them until everyone can see it. We are so lucky to know Kearsten and Garret and to have been the recipient of their gifts. Honestly, I miss them now that the process is over. We hired Kearsten pretty last minute for our city hall elopement. I cannot express how happy I am that I stumbled across her work. Our photos were so much more than I would have ever imagined for a simple city hall wedding. Not only were the photos better than we ever dreamed of, she got them back to us so quickly! I came across Kearsten on Instagram and fell in love with her work. We decided to use her for both our engagement and wedding photos and were thrilled with the outcome each time. As soon as I saw Kearsten's work, I knew we wanted to have her as our wedding photographer. She made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. We had never taken professional photos together, so we opted in for the engagement photos. The photos were beautiful so I was excited for the wedding photos. She was very professional and relaxed on our wedding day (which helped calm me since I was stressed!) and we get so many compliments on our photos. I’ve been avoiding writing this review because I’ve struggled to pin down the most eloquent and fluid way to put in words exactly how much I would recommend Kearsten.
Her poise, kindness, adorable quirky energy and overall calmness put me at compete ease during all the wedding phases. I don’t know if I would have gotten through the process, especially the day of without her there. She was flexible, cognizant of details I would never have noticed or forgotten all together, and sweet as damn pie!
And the pictures?! You’ve got to be kidding me!!!! We are blown away at how she captured us, every detail, every special moment, every candid we will treasure forever. She made us feel comfortable and natural and we couldn’t recommend her enough! Kearsten- thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

This review is 3+ years overdue. To know Kearsten is to love her. Let’s just say I’m the world’s pickiest person when it comes to pictures (yes, I inspect every little detail). Not only did Kearsten shoot our engagement photos but she has also photographed our wedding, maternity and family pictures. SHE IS THAT GOOD. You know you’ve found an incredibly talented photographer when she’s captured every major milestone in your life. Book her, she’s beyond amazing!
When planning my wedding, there was 1 vendor I knew I NEEDED and it was Kearsten! She was easy to communicate with (responded so quickly), always on time, and was so fun/kind to the whole bridal party day of! If you check out her Instagram, her work speaks for itself as each photo is beyond aesthetically pleasing and captures couples NATURAL interactions. And the best part is you can tell how much she loves her job and truly cares about all her clients! If you haven’t already you need to hire Kearsten - she will not disappoint!

I truly had the most enjoyable experience working with Kearsten. To be honest, five stars doesn't even seem like enough because Kearsten went above and beyond for us. After postponing our wedding due to COVID, she was flexible, compassionate and understanding throughout the whole process. While being extremely responsive and always available to answer any questions I had she was also organized to a T which allowed us to feel calm and at ease leading up to our day. On the day of our wedding, Kearsten and her husband Garrett were professional, detail orientated, and just SO much fun. They captured and documented our day perfectly, from the big moments to the small ones and everything in between. I can't recommend Kearsten enough. We originally planned our wedding for August 2020, but had to postpone until June 2021. She was so accommodating when we were replanning, and we are so grateful. Kearsten is so unbelievably talented, and just an absolute delight to work with. She and Garrett are some of the most amazing humans, and it felt like we were hanging out with friends on our wedding day. They do whatever it takes to get the pictures - they were literally traversing an island, climbing on rocks and hills, to make sure to get the best shots of us. 2020 for weddings was definitely a challenging one for all. My husband and I had to replan our wedding three times, with details not being finalized until about three weeks before the wedding. Luckily, our wedding day was even better than we could have ever imagined and we have the most beautiful and timeless photos from Kearsten to relive those moments forever. Having Kearsten as our wedding photographer was by far the best decision we ever made. Prior to COVID, planning with her was so easy. She was very responsive and took everything we had envisioned to heart. She was very thorough with timing and flow of the day making the perfect photo opportunities. The day of, she arrived bubbly and fun and ready to work! She always asked if there was anything specific we wanted and made the most amazing suggestions to make the best photos! The photos she created were so timeless and elegant and I am so thankful to have them to hang on our walls in our home. It’s a beautiful reminder of what our wedding day was and showed all the love and support from our closest friends and family. Most importantly it captured to love my husband and I have for one another. She was very quick to give us our album and even while it was not completed yet she gave us a few sneak peaks to keep us excited! Kearsten was absolutely wonderful as our wedding photographer. She was incredibly patient and supportive after our wedding plans changed 3 times due to COVID-19. We ended up having a much smaller wedding at my mom's house on Cape Cod and she captured the day perfectly! Kearsten is one of the best photographers in Rhode Island. In 2020 my wife and I had the crazy idea to elope in Arizona and wanted to have it all documented. After searching for hours for photographers in the area, we quickly found out that the reality of making that happen might be financially impossible. We gave Kearsten a call because she happened to be a great friend of ours. We told her our situation and asked for advice, and instead, she gave us a solution. She offered to be our photographer! We were beyond excited. Being wedding photographers ourselves, we know how important it is to have these memories for generations to come, and with everything that 2020 threw at us, Kearsten was our saving grace. The actual wedding photos are some of the best photos of my wife and me. One thing I love is how the images beautifully capture our love for one another in a candid way. There's one photo of my wife tearing up as I read my vows that I literally can't stop looking at. It embodies our love story so well. Kearsten is not only an incredible photographer but she's a humble, loving, kind, gentle soul who's not afraid to help whenever she can on the wedding day. She was down for ANYTHING, including risking her life at the edge of a cliff. She was beyond incredible and our photos are beyond beautiful. We can't thank her & her husband enough. We LOVE our photos.

Kearsten and Garret were absolutely amazing on our wedding day, and the photos are perfect. They were able to capture not only the formal photos but some amazing candid photos at all parts of the day. They also allowed us to enjoy our special day, and made sure to get all the photos we wanted without interrupting to flow of everything and our ability to enjoy the day. They were so easy to work with, and we got our photos back very quickly. I can't say enough good things about how the photos came out! Picking one for our thank you cards will be very difficult!

From the moment I saw Kearsten's photos on her website, I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding. Her aesthetic has almost a dreamy, vintage quality that is exactly what I was looking for. Kearsten herself is such a sweetheart and is great at making sure you get all of the shots you want. She has a very calming presence and my husband and I felt very relaxed while we were taking our engagement and wedding photos. We got a couple of sneak peeks just two days after the wedding and just from those few I know the rest will be incredible. Thank you, Kearsten!
Kearsten and Garrett were incredible. Like probably most people . . . we aren't particularly comfortable in front of a camera. Garrett was our main photographer during our wedding, while he and Kearsten led our engagement shoot. We loved the style and the fact that they had us try a lot of different poses and action shots to ensure we got some great photos.
We loved the photos and also loved that we weren't asked to do any boring things (like that trend of wedding parties jumping in the air).
Would highly recommend this team and are so happy they were available for our big day.

Working with Kearsten was a dream! She definitely has an eye for detail and a gift! She made my photo shy self feel comfortable and gave my husband and I posing tips, making us feel more comfortable and less awkward. We received our full wedding gallery only 2 weeks or so after our wedding which is actually unheard of. I was expecting it to be a few months. I could not pick just one favorite photo as they all came out SO GORGEOUS. They had the perfect ethereal aesthetic which was exactly what I was looking for. I received SO many messages and comments, questions asking who took our photos. If you are looking for quality, beautiful photos you need Kearsten!!!!
Of all the vendors we picked for our wedding day, I was hands down most excited to work with Kearsten - and I can't even put into words how thankful I am that we did. Starting with our engagement shoot, we knew we wanted to work with a photographer who’s work was unique from the standard wedding photographer; one who would be able to capture timeless photos we’d actually want to have framed and on display in our home for years to come. Kearsten does just that with her work. She has a way of turning your special moments into frame-worthy pieces of art, capturing not just the typical, posed wedding classics, but more importantly the small moments in between that could simply not be added to any shot list. Aside from her evident talent, Kearsten is just the best human. Especially for stressed brides! She was responsive throughout the entire process, and completely poised and confident when it came to getting all the photos in order day-of our wedding. She even sent us a few sneak peek shots right after our wedding (clearly understands my obsession with instagram!) and got our gallery back to us before we were even back from our honeymoon. I worked with Kearsten Taylor recently for a client's wedding and had the pleasure of working with Garrett on the day-of. Kearsten is lovely to work with, is extremely responsive and was great at communicating and helping with the details. Garrett is, of course, professional and talented, he is also extremely easy going and flexible, allowing the couple to really feel comfortable and get the best portraits. Garrett shot our Fort Adams wedding and was absolutely fantastic to work with. We love how our First Look photos turned out inside the unique ruins of Fort Adams. The photography captured the moody, rich colors of our fall color palette perfectly. He also shot a variety of amazing photos of our ceremony and reception. If you're getting married in the area and want some unique photos, I can't recommend Garrett & Kearsten enough!
If you want to work with the absolute best wedding photographer in the business, look no further! Kearsten truly captures and creates magic. We still get daily compliments about how our wedding and engagement photos are the most beautiful photos people have ever seen! And they are 100% correct. Kearsten captured our wedding day so perfectly that every time I look at our photos it brings me right back to every special moment of that day. Her return time of photos is unbelievable as well (1 week for our engagement photos and 2 weeks for our wedding photos). I don't know how she does it considering she has multiple weddings every single weekend. It truly shows how devoted she is to her work and how much she cares about her clients. I am so grateful that I found Kearsten to photograph my wedding! She is incredibly easy to work with, flexible, and goes with the flow. She came for our engagement photo shoot and I was blown away with how the pictures came out! On my wedding day, Kearsten was right on time and she photographed the entire day without being overbearing. My Fiance and I did our engagement photoshoot with Kearsten and we just got the photos back...they are STUNNING! I really should preface this by saying that I am extremely harsh critic when it comes to any photograph of myself, and I was genuinely so pleased with Kearsten's work.
Kearsten has an innate ability to captured her subjects in such a beautiful, natural light. Nothing is over-saturated, nothing is overdone, it's a natural elegance and it's timeless--that's her aesthetic. Not to mention, she makes you feel so at ease which is really so great!

Kearsten + Garrett are absolutely phenomenal. Not only are they both amazingly talented photographers, they are warm, fun and they truly enhanced our experience on our wedding day. Kearsten shot our engagement photos and was very flexible driving into Boston and hopping around the city with us. My fiance and I were both nervous and she made everything feel very natural and comfortable. Garrett also accompanied us on our wedding day and was equally as great. I remember glancing over at him laughing along when the best man was giving his speech and I was so delighted to see they were genuinely enjoying themselves while they were working their magic. Our photos are absolutely stunning and they were such a pleasure. I honestly can’t say enough about them.
Garret and Kearsten shot our engagement photos and our wedding. We had never had formal photos taken nbefore and were both nervous, but they immediately put us at ease with their kind and relaxed personalities. It felt like we were getting together with old friends, and the photos turned out so beautiful. For our wedding we worked with Garret and he did a wonderful job getting candid photos of our ceremony and reception. We also had a second-line parade; he had never shot a parade mind you, but did an absolutely amazing job capturing the joy and energy of our band, ourselves, our guests and all of the passersby during our parade! Kearsten is truly the most amazing wedding photographer...I knew from the second we met her at our engagement shoot that we had picked the right person. I booked her about a year before our wedding, and throughout the entire time leading up to the day, her communication was incredible: she was thorough, clear, and friendly. On the day of the wedding, she showed up right on time, and was so engaged with everyone. She was so patient, flexible, and easy to work with. Her turnaround was also great--less than 2 weeks!! I couldn't recommend her more. She is one of the best decisions you could make for your wedding.
Kearsten did an amazing job with our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I got married on May 5, 2018 at the Providence Public Library. We decided early on that photography would be one of the most important elements of our wedding day, which is why we were chose Kearsten as our photographer. She captured so many beautiful moments throughout the wedding - from the getting ready photos through the ceremony and toasts, all the way to end of the night dancing candids. Every single photo she shared with me from the event (and there were a lot of them) was just so beautiful in composition, style, and subject. I love the style of her photos… the colors come through so well and they have an enchantingly romantic quality to them that is just so timeless and gorgeous.
It was a pleasure to work with Kearsten - she is so kind and professional and easy to talk to. She would instruct us on how to pose when my husband and I were clueless but all of the photos look so natural and she also captured so many wonderful candids. I cannot express in words how truly incredible Kearsten was to work with! My now-husband and I had to change our wedding plans various times because of his military orders, but Kearsten stuck with us through it all! Kearsten’s work is absolutely AMAZING! I had very little time to find a photographer and after reaching out to several people with no replies, Kearsten responded within 30 minutes. We had a small elopement in the wintertime, and it rained :( but our pictures came out INCREDIBLE!!! Kearsten made our day look like a dream. She captured even the smallest of details. Kearsten has taken my family photo's for the past two years but I had been following her work for many years prior to reaching out to her. My daughter was about to turn two the first session we had. Kearsten was so patient and sweet with her and even though my girl would NOT smile for the camera, Kearsten still captured her playfulness and her beauty. If I had to review Kearsten in one word it would be MAGIC. But here are several more words to make my point...She's truly a gem inside and out. I had a tight timeline and an even tighter budget but I knew that I loved Kearstens style right away. I shot her a message on a whim, thinking there was no way - but she was more than happy to work with me on my budget and timeline to make sure I didn't feel like I was sacrificing anything. She put up so well with our crazy band of misfits (wedding party/guests) and remained laid back and relaxed the entire time. If there is one thing people said about my wedding the most, it's how gorgeous our pictures were. I am still hearing it months later. I was 4 months pregnant during our wedding and Kearsten worked with me to get some tasteful photos with the bump, and a lot of them where you could never even tell! I explained to her what I was hoping to capture (vaguely as I really didn't know I just knew I wanted great pics) and she did just that, and more! She went above and beyond and we didn't have a lot of specific requirements, so we let her exercise some creative freedom - highly suggest you do the same.
We got a sneak preview of our pictures almost right away and our entire wedding album was available to us in record time. I had a bridesmaid who got married 3 months before us and we had our pictures to us about 2 months earlier than she did!
So, to sum it up - Kearsten is a laid back, flexible and talented magical unicorn with a camera around her neck that is sure to amaze everyone with your pictures. You can trust her to capture your special moments in ways you could only imagine in fairytales - and you'll want to plaster your house with them afterwards...which you'll be able to do, quickly!

Kearsten doesn't need any reviews her work speaks for itself....more like it sings for itself. If you have the honor of working with her you will see what I mean. She has a mastery of her field. She is professionally trained, but she has that creative gift you can't teach. She works some beauty with her camera and is a master light chaser. Her images are so rich and beautiful. The photographs she took of me are by far my favorite and I can't wait to book her again!
You should consider yourself extremely fortunate if you get to be in front of Kearsten's camera! She did some bridal portraits for me last winter and I was BLOWN AWAY by them! Kearsten has an incredible way of seeing and using light in her work. On top of her insane talent, she has the biggest heart and she makes you feel comfortable and beautiful the entire time (and I'm not one to feel great in front of a camera). Kearsten is seriously one of the most talented upcoming artists and all of New England. As a creative professional in the wedding industry myself, I was very familiar with Kearsten's work and knew that my wife was a big fan as well. It did not take a lot for us to know that she was the right fit for us.
Once the wedding day came it rained unlike anything we have ever seen. We had to change the venue two days before hand! I knew that our new location would present a tough lighting situation and both of our families are absolutely insane. Kearsten absolutely killed it. I could not believe the images she was able to capture under such difficult circumstances. We are absolutely thrilled with her work on our day and would recommend her to anyone who values top notch artistry.
