Deep Creek Landing Marina is a charming oceanfront wedding venue located in Newport News, VA. The property is operated by a team of seasoned professionals that are dedicated to the success of your event. Whether inside or outside, you and your nearest and dearest guests can enjoy spectacular views of the enchanting harbor. With yachts in all shapes and sizes, you can look forward to a distinctly nautical backdrop for your nuptial photographs. We have no stipulations on vendors, food and beverage minimums, or times that your ceremony or reception must occur in. We pride ourselves in allowing couples to determine how their special day should look like!
Facilities and Capacity
The indoor space, Keffer Hall, at Deep Creek Landing Marina features a reception room and a full kitchen. With a neutral palette, it can serve as a blank canvas for a plethora of wedding themes. The rows of windows also help to make the space light and airy. Optimized for maximum flexibility, the room can be arranged using many kinds of layouts. There is an intimate ceremony site outside on the lawn that features a memorable waterfront backdrop. Access is also provided to the fully covered deck, an ideal space for cocktail hours and general socializing during the wedding. Up to 120 people can be comfortably accommodated here at the venue with a maximum capacity of 80 individuals inside the interior of the building. The venue also has a designated Bridal Suite, which includes a champagne bucket, mini-fridge, personal bathroom, and amenities for getting ready.
Services Offered
Couples may book the venue for a single day or two, depending on how much setup time is required or if the day is needed for the rehearsal dinner. Bundles include tables, chairs, mobile bars, a wet bar, unlimited ice, security for the event, and a fully equipped kitchen. The staff is passionate about supporting couples as they plan their celebrations here. Couples may choose their own caterers and the team is able to provide a list of trusted vendors to make planning simple.

A Hampton Roads native, Arielle brings more than 11 years experience of running nonprofits, yacht clubs, and science and sailing centers to Deep Creek Landing. She has worked all over the East Coast, but is happy to be back working in her hometown. She is currently getting a Masters in Sport Management at Georgetown University. She loves spending her free time racing her Formula 18 catamaran all over the world.

We received so many compliments on the beauty of the location, especially the porch overlooking the water. This is a perfect venue for a small/mid-sized wedding at a very affordable price point!

g and this venue was PERFECT for that. Every guest stopped us to say they felt the love and closeness of the space. We ended up with 69 guests total. Inside the tables fit beautifully. The space is a bit small for dancing but when it was time they pushed some tables back and there was more than enough space. We had a BLAST. If you are thinking about it, please do yourself a favor and rent this space. It was also super affordable! I literally spent more on my dress than the venue. They do not force you to use catering with them or alcohol so we saved tons of money that way as well. Superb experience!!

for our outdoor wedding under the arbor and didn't need any added decoration. The covered porch was a well utilized area for guests to take in more of the view, mingle and feel the light breeze. The indoor space was current and tastefully decorated. The staff was courteous, professional, helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend this venue!

y affordable and one thing we loved about it was that we could provide our own vendors or do it ourselves! Plus, it has a bridal suite! The place is absolutely beautiful with a waterfront view! The only downside of the venue is that majority of it is carpeted, so it dosent give much room for a dance floor. But we made it work! The only thing I would recommend is getting a tent for incase it rains that way you can still get married under the pergola. It ended up downpouring during our wedding and we moved the ceremony to the covered porch, which worked for us but it wasn't ideal. Nonetheless we loved it! 🩷

And it was perfect to be able to seat people out on the deck as well as inside so it made the venue feel much larger. ir wedding there on October 20, 2018 and everything was just as they wanted. We can't say a bad thing about this venue. The accessibility and having tables and chairs for inside and out helped alot.
Do not overlook this Venue not matter what time of year it is a great value, you bring in your own vendors no list to stick to or only certain vendors allowed.

They had an agreement with a local rental company so we didn't have to pick up or pack up tables or chairs. A small pergola is outside for weddings- the backdrop is the small inlet. It is tucked inside of a upper class style neighborhood, but it doesn't get in the way. Also, reserving the site for the whole day, a Saturday, cost less than 2,000.
It perfectly fit what I wanted and all the staff that I met were very friendly.
