Kelly Plantation Golf Club

Where do I begin with this review! First of all, when my now husband and I were looking at venues we knew we wanted somewhere in Destin FL that did not have the beach. My whole theme was Wine/Italian (Tuscan), so I wanted green space. We looked online at different golf clubs in the area and Kelly Plantation had great reviews! When I sent out emails to Kelly and other golf clubs in the area, Russ, the event coordinator at Kelly Plantation, responded efficiently and with a lot of great information. We made an appointment with him and one other venue to view on the same day. Arriving at Kelly Plantation I just loved the scenery! Our meeting with Russ went over so well! He was completely friendly and accomodating. There was a brick arch on the back lawn and bistro tables on the porch along with darkwood tables inside that completely went with my Italian look, I was so giddy about it all! After we viewed the other venue, which offered nothing compared to Kelly Plantation, we had our venue picked! We booked so early that Russ had to put up with me for about 9-10 months, and he never once got sour with me. He was SO helpful and responsive! I have learned through this wedding process how much communication from vendors is SUPER important and Russ was by far teriffic in responding to all my quirky questions, via email, text, or phone. He really makes you feel like what you want will be what he strives to get done for you. And any time I visited and he was there he always greated me, asked if there was anything he could get me, offer to talk if he had spare time. He went above and beyond to fill specific requests! I could go on and on about how great he is. And his whole staff too! Although I felt like I was a very OCD/detail-oriented/perfectionist kind of bride, never did he make me feel like I was being a burden to him! Russ alone could be the selling point to booking this venue =) If you are considering Kelly Plantation at all I highly recommend making an appointment!! =)

I am glad that we decided to use the Kelly Plantation Golf course for our wedding and reception venue. The food is wonderful, the staff is great, and the location is just beautiful. There was enough space for a dance floor for 100 guests. The place is beautiful to take pictures and my pictures came out wonderfully!

The beautiful golf course offers an amazing and breath taking view!! The clubhouse looks over the lake and offers a nice, comfortable area for eating without having all the bugs from outside. Russ Copper is truly amazing and a life saver!! He'll answer any and all questions and will even reply to an e-mail over the weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and reception spot. The food was amazing and the staff is very friendly. I dropped off all of my wedding decorations a few hours before the wedding and I walked into the wedding I had always wanted and I didn't have to do any of the work with it :) If this is your choice, you will not second guess it at all. It's quiet and away from all the noise of the traffic in the Destin area. It’s a very classy spot, but even if the wedding isn’t a formal black tie, it’s still very nice. My wedding was a semi-formal and the golf course made it just beautiful.
