About this vendor
At Kelsey Halm Photography, I believe your engagement session and wedding day should feel like you — calm, meaningful, and never overly staged. The best photographs come from a day that feels present and personal, whether you’re getting married in Charleston, along the coast, at a historic estate, or somewhere far from home.
I’m drawn to weddings with a strong sense of place: the quiet energy of a rehearsal dinner, the movement of a wedding day, the people gathered around you, and the small moments that often become the ones you remember most.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, I photograph weddings throughout the Southeast, New England, and destinations worldwide. My goal is to create honest, refined images that tell the full story of your celebration — not just how it looked, but how it felt.

Kelsey was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She was recommended by our wedding planner, but the moment I saw her instagram, I knew she was the one for our wedding! She actu...
ally answered my email within two days, but apologized for the delay because she had literally JUST had a baby. Basically, I'm saying she's incredible! She did an engagement shoot in Charleston so that we could kind of get to know her and make sure we were on the same page with style. I told her I wanted to capture the love and fun of the day and boy did she deliver! Every single one of our photos is breathtaking and amazing. You can 100% tell how much fun people had! She was also efficient and wonderful organizing our large families into pictures so that we were able to get to reception as quickly as possible! I loved working with her the entire time. She was professional, on time, and prompt with editing and giving us photos back! She also organized some of the best photos into an album for us to relive the day, and it brought actual tears to my eyes. If you need a photographer (not just wedding- engagement, family, maybe even just solo professional photos), Kelsey will put you at ease and you will love every single picture! We absolutely love her!
From the moment we booked Kelsey for our wedding she was kind, communicative, professional, and just truly amazing to work with. Kelsey made us feel so comfortable from the moment ...
we met her for our engagement pictures. My fiance can be a little stiff in pictures and she knew just the things to do and say to make him feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Everyone is a little stressed on their wedding day and when I say KELSEY kept me the calmest out of everyone I mean it. We didn't have the best weather and she stayed positive and transparent about what would work and wouldn't, given the insane wind. My wedding party could not stop talking about how easy she made it to take the large group photos and she literally knew every single person's name!
The photos we received from our engagement session as well as the sneak peek of our wedding are absolutely phenomenal. Kelsey's style is light, airy, and classic and she has a way of capturing special moments like I have never seen.
Kelsey has been nothing short of amazing from the moment we inquired about our wedding date until our wedding day and beyond. Kelsey was so responsive to any questions we had.

husband and I are not fans of being in front of the camera, but Kelsey made us so comfortable. She truly felt like a friend to us which made us comfortable and excited to have her shoot our wedding day.
Everyone from our wedding party to guest enjoyed working with Kelsey and made the time in front of the camera so enjoyable.
When we first met Kelsey asked what my vision of my wedding day was and how I wished for those moments to be captured and the pictures were everything we wanted and more. We are so happy that Kelsey was part of our special day.

but she is so organized and makes planning a breeze. She was originally going to travel with us to NY for our wedding, and was instrumental in helping us find vendors when we chose to relocate our wedding to Charleston. Her and Dave make being photographed so easy and comfortable in any setting. Kelsey not only did our engagement session, but also a surprise bachelorette photo shoot set up by my MOH! We cannot recommend Kelsey and Dave enough!!!

On the day of she was so fantastic! She was able to make sure that my husband and I were able to feel comfortable in front of the camera and relaxed. We were able to capture such sweet moments during our ceremony and after on the beach. I loved working with her and her approach to shooting. ade! Not only did Kelsey live through the craziness of wedding planning during Covid with us, but she and Dave went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Conner and I clicked so well with this dynamic duo and even our wedding party spent the day commenting on how amazing Kelsey and Dave are to work with! Kelsey and Dave were able to capture all the moments we wanted, and more! Not only are the photos beautiful, but Kelsey managed to capture ones I never knew I wanted but treasure now! Conner and I were so impressed with their genunine photography skills, organizational skills, crisis management skills, and unwavering faith. Needless to say, Conner and I are looking forward to working with Kelsey and Dave for all our big moments in the future!

ine and hates pictures, she does a good job of keeping it fun and as quick as she can to get amazing photos. She is on top of everything, at one point I was having a special moment with my grandmother and thought this would make a great picture and she was already there taking it! Kelsey was everything we could have hoped for in a photographer and I couldn't recommend her more highly!!

ople we wanted by our side all night. The photographs speak for themselves. They are the most gorgeous reminders of such a special day. But more than that, Kelsey Halm Photography were so helpful the entire day. Kelsey helped me with my shoes. Dave brought us drinks. They constantly made us feel relaxed and beautiful. They got bugs out of my dress, did everything for the perfect shot, and were such a joy to be around. I’m so thankful that they played such a huge part of our day.
