About this vendor
Hi there, and congratulations! I'm Kelsey Lefever, love story photographer for the wild + windswept.
I capture real, raw, unfiltered emotions and interactions. If we work together, be prepared to get barefoot, be a little bit adventurous, and laugh a lot. I'm based in Lafayette, Indiana, but I know that love can pull you all over the world, and I'm down to photograph wherever your story takes you, whether that’s the Nevada desert, a Serengeti safari, or exploring just down the road.
My work is primarily photojournalistic in style. I adore capturing all the formal portraits and cake cutting and bouquet toss and everything else, but I've found my favorite moments are the unique, unposed ones that might otherwise go missed: the flower girl with frosting on her face, the laughter of your grandma during the speeches, the tear that makes its way down your dad's face during the ceremony. Those raw, unposed seconds are fleeting, and that's where the emotion is richest for me. My photos are vibrant, clean, and timeless. What you see is what you get.
I offer three different wedding collections to fit different needs. Each includes:
* An initial consultation with coffee on me.
* A complimentary engagement session.
* Personalized timeline planning assistance.
* 6-10 hours of wedding day coverage.
* Online web gallery with your images to share and download forever.
* A personalized keepsake wooden photo box with select prints and a USB of your images.
* Printing and social sharing rights.
Plus, I have curated collections for elopements and destination weddings with travel costs all built in.
Sound good? I can't wait to hear about your story! Let's do this.

d sweet moments, LOOK NO FURTHER! Plus if you’re a dog person, she has the sweetest, gigantic dog named Stella! Stella is so cool and Kelsey is so awesome!!! that Kelsey was kind enough to include photos of Stella in our wedding day pictures for fun!!!!
FOR ALL FILM LOVERS: Kelsey shot portions of our wedding on 35mm film. You’re welcome! We CANNOT WAIT to see how they turn out!
Day of, Kelsey was timely and helped keep us on track by partnering with our coordinator. The day after our wedding, WHICH SHE DROVE 600 miles to be at!!! she sent us a sneak peek of a few photos because she edited on the way back while her friends drove!
Bottom line, she’s amazing! If you’re going to spend money on a photographer, make sure it’s Kelsey!
Kelsey was such a wonderful, stress-free, talented option for a photographer. She was so flexible when we had to reschedule our engagement session three times (due to Covid, weathe...
r, and one crazy car accident), and she was very professional and fun on the wedding day too! And I LOVED how our pictures turned out - edited so beautifully and I really felt like she captured the beauty and love that I think of when I think back on the big day. I booked her after seeing her do a friend's wedding and my cousin booked her right after seeing her do our engagement pictures, and I've heard nothing but great things from both people.

t throughout the wedding planning process in general. On wedding day, Kelsey was very good at being right where she needed to be for a good shot, but somehow did it inconspicuously and was never “in the way”. I absolutely love her editing style; our pictures are simply gorgeous and we’ll treasure them forever.
Kelsey was AMAZING! I was so picky and neve thought I would find a photographer with the style I was looking for. Found her! Her techniques were incredible and she really has an...
eye for scenery and photo setup. At the end of our wedding day she pulled us aside for some AMAZING photos in front of a huge storm that was approaching. All the pictures we've seen so far have been incredible. She's incredibly nice, great to work with, was SO accomodating with planning and replanning aorund COVID-19. I cannot rave enough about how much I would recommend her. Kelsey is a natural talent and will do wonders for you, no matter what your photography need or style is. I LOVED how she takes her time to understand what you like and makes you comfortable around the camera. Okay, I'll stop now but seriously, don't hesitate to book her if you can!

ul of pictures she already had ready for me. She is so genuine and I could not have found a better photographer for my wedding! I can’t wait to work with her again in the future.
Kelsey was fun to work with especially during our engagement session since it was a bit outside of our comfort zone. She made us feel at ease and our picture came out perfect. She ...
was willing to travel both to meet up and to do our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. She took control when putting groups together and her editing was exactly what I was looking for. She is also easy to contact for questions and flexible with scheduling.

o know us a couple during our engagement session and really captured important details to us at the wedding. Kelsey went above and beyond and even let us reschedule our engagement session as we wanted to do them at the beach where we got engaged and it was raining the day we originally planned to do them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic photographer!
Kelsey did my husband and I’s engagement pictures, and our wedding. She is an amazing photographer and I cannot recommended her enough! We were blown away by her talent!
Kelsey did an amazing job as our wedding photographer! She was very patient in answering all my questions about minutia before we even signed a contract with her. At our (included)...
engagement shoot, she immediately set us both at ease and although we thought we would be camera shy we ended up laughing a lot and feeling very natural and the photos reflect that! We had a minor blizzard on our wedding day and Kelsey patiently photographed everyone outside and arrived early to help set-up the "first look" moment we wanted. Looking at our wedding photos she got so many shots I had no idea she took because she was seemingly everywhere and yet faded into the background (I mean this in a good way)! Our photos are really beautiful, she got so many of us smiling and laughing, and they were returned to us relatively quickly! Highly recommend.
Kelsey is great! Our pictures are amazing and I cannot stop looking at our gallery! My husband doesn't like having his picture taken and made a comment that Kelsey made it seem so ...
natural that he didn't feel like anyone was even taking our picture. From our engagement session, to our wedding day, Shutter Up Studios did not disappoint!
Kelsey was an absolute dream to work with! From our very first phone call, I knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding! Engagement pictures were included in our package and we w...
ere blown away how they turned out! She was so flexible and willing to take the pictures in the middle of a freezing cold winter day, and we were so grateful because the shots she got were amazing. She even used one of the photos to design wedding invitations exactly how we wanted them. We got so many compliments on the invites! On the day of the wedding, she was prepared and got so many gorgeous shots. It’s hard to choose a favorite picture! Working with Kelsey was such a great experience. If you’re looking for a photographer who is creative and willing to capture your vision, hire Kelsey and you won’t be disappointed!

otos the day after the wedding! I highly recommend! I love all the pictures so much and it’s so hard choosing favorites because they’re all so good!
Kelsey was absolutely phenomenal!
We were so impressed with how organized Kelsey was in preparation of our wedding. She asked so many important questions and wanted to hear our...
story, learn more about the guests in attendance and was so interested in the details that we really wanted to capture in our photographs.
On wedding day, she made a visit to see our venue in advance (since we live outside of Pittsburgh, PA). She captured the most special moments of our day, made all guests feel so comfortable with having their pictures taken and was very organized to make sure we didn't miss one photo on our wish list. She went above and beyond. And the photos ... well, they are more than we could ever have hoped for ... they are GORGEOUS.
Without a doubt, we recommend Kelsey 1000 times!
