Hey there! I’m Kelsey, a wedding, engagement, and couples photographer based out of upstate New York. I believe color should be vivid, laughs should be loud, and that every love should be celebrated. I also believe that just like every couple is beautiful and unique, so is every wedding. One thing I can promise you is that no matter the wedding, my approach stays the same. I’ll be there to guide you throughout the day, lead you and your partner into the best light, and show your mom where to stand as she zips up your dress or pins on your boutonniere. But don’t worry, I also know when to stand back and let the magic unfold (like when your cousin is crying happy tears during your ceremony). My goal is always to be as helpful yet unobtrusive as possible (is that an oxymoron?). Basically, I’ll be there for you. Present and guiding you through the big moments, then melting into the crowd to capture you and your favorite people celebrating your one-of-a-kind love.

Kelsey was a joy to work with! The photos are so beautiful and vibrant. We love our engagement and wedding photos. We (and our families) felt so comfortable with Kelsey and have nothing but good things to say. We got many photos to preview shortly after the wedding and the rest within 6 weeks.

I was not picky about anything during the wedding planning process except when it came to choosing a photographer - and I am SO HAPPY with the decision to hire Kelsey! We met her at our engagement shoot back in June, and she could not have been more personable, professional, or easy to work with. Kelsey did an INCREDIBLE job on our wedding day of wrangling our family members for photos and keeping everything moving on time. She even saved the day by helping to figure out my dress bustle when everyone was struggling! Her second photographer, Brea, was absolutely incredible as well. She made our wedding portrait session so easy and enjoyable, and everything felt so natural. She also got all of the family photos we requested and was so patient with us. I know our photos are going to be absolutely gorgeous, and I can’t wait to get them back. Kelsey is the absolute best and you will not regret hiring her for your wedding.

Kelsey Travis- you are AMAZING!!! I truly can't say enough good things about Kelsey! I met her alittle over 3 years ago when she did my cousin wedding. On that day she was so incredibly nice she made all of us feel so comfortable taking photos. Then once I saw how amazing her photos turned out I was blown away. A few years later we got engaged and was starting to look at vendors I didn't even have to think who I wanted because I knew Kelsey was the only answer. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos- it was so hard to even narrow down our favorites. We got compliments all night about how amazing she was. She was running all over the place to get the best possible pictures. Kelsey we love you and our forever thankful we have these pictures!!!!

Choosing Kelsey Travis Photography for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made in our entire planning process. From the very first conversation to the final moments of our big day, Kelsey and her assistant Ashley brought an energy, passion, and professionalism that was simply unmatched. Not only is Kelsey incredibly talented behind the lens, but she also has this beautiful gift of making people feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated. She captured every emotion, every tear, every laugh, and every detail big and small with such artistry and intention. Her assistant Ashley also indulged our children crazy ideas. Our wedding was filled with sentimental moments, surprises, and meaningful family traditions, and somehow Kelsey and Ashley managed to be everywhere at once, documenting it all without ever being intrusive. From the very first meeting, Kelsey made us feel comfortable and understood our vision perfectly. She helped us with our engagement photos, creating the day of timeline, and helped the wedding day stay on time and be organized! The attention to detail was incredible – from candid shots of our guests enjoying themselves to beautiful portraits that truly captured the essence of our love story. The final gallery exceeded our expectations; every photo was a work of art! I cannot say enough good things about hiring Kelsey as our photographer. If you are considering it, 100% just book now before someone else gets her first! Her portfolio of work is absolutely stunning, including the absolutely amazing photos she shot of our wedding and engagement session. From the moment I reached out to her, she was incredibly responsive, organized, and well-thought out. There is no detail that she missed or wasn't prepared for! The timeline for our wedding got thrown off due to some bad weather, but it did not phase Kelsey at all. She was able to adapt and come up with plans A, B, and C ahead of time just in case. Not only that, but Kelsey is truly a wonderful human being and the exact type of person you want around you on a stressful (but exciting!) day. She is so genuine and kind and really cares about making sure you get all the photos captured that you want (and remembers to take the ones you forget!). She is insanely talented at capturing great posed and candid photos. When she sent us our wedding photos, she had captured so many candid moments of smiles and genuine joy that I hadn't even remembered due to the chaos of the day. We seriously love Kelsey's work for our wedding so much and can't stop looking at the photos. We've also had several wedding party members commented unsolicited how great our photographer was during the day and that our photos are some of the best they've ever seen!

Kelsey’s stunningly breathtaking pictures speak for themselves, but it does not end there. She not only captures memories that you will cherish for a lifetime, but she is a gem of a human being. We chose Kelsey based on her portfolio of magic, but what we realized shortly after meeting her was that she is such a genuine human being that was an absolute pleasure to work with. Kelsey was easy to communicate with from day one, and was always prompt in her responses. She is timeline guru and provided us with invaluable insight and feedback as we planned for our big day. Her work is phenomenal, but coupled with all of the little things she did, sets her apart from others. She helped pick out the best shirt color for our engagement shoot, she helped put my vail on when I completely forgot to about it, she stood out in the pouring rain to get the best shot, and she thought to capture numerous wedding day details that we will cherish forever. I cannot begin to explain how amazing of a photographer and person Kelsey is! We didn't know her before booking but trusted our gut and we are SO happy we did. From the engagement shoot to the wedding; she was always so kind and we felt like we were hanging out with a friend. She always communicated with us when we had questions and made sure to help us plan our day based on what we wanted to capture. We wanted true to life photos and a bunch of pictures of our guests, and she NAILED IT! Everything we asked for was done (plus some!). Please, if you're booking a wedding photographer, take a look at Kelsey. You'll be so glad you did!

You simply MUST hire Kelsey if you're looking for a wedding photographer. In our search, we kept coming across very moody or over-/under-saturated photography styles, which was not our vibe. We came across Kelsey's portfolio and were greeted with vibrant, true-to-life color and we were hooked. Kelsey's also just an incredibly kind and charismatic person — she made us feel at ease on our engagement session, and we got a chance to really connect, which made our wedding day that much more exciting because we felt like we were reuniting with an old friend. Kelsey went above and beyond her duties, like providing us with wedding day timeline guidance and driving one of us over to the venue so we could execute a 'first look.' We can't imagine our wedding day without Kelsey being there! Her photos speak for themselves, but I hope this review gives you the added encouragement to reach out to her, because you'll regret not hiring her for your own wedding!!

Kelsey was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. My family and friends couldn’t stop saying how wonderful she was to work with. We aren’t quick to jump in front of the camera, but with Kelsey, we felt comfortable and at ease. Kelsey delivers the best photos and she was able to take our vision and make it a reality. Her communication from the beginning was part of why we hired her and she kept in touch throughout the entire process, answering questions and being so helpful. For both our engagement shoot and the wedding she shared our sneak peek with us even faster than we were expecting. Kelsey was AMAZING from our engagement photos, to our wedding day photos. She always showed up with a smile and so much energy that she made it easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. We are absolutely speechless at our wedding photos and everything she captured. She has a way of making everything so natural but also like a magazine cover at the same time. She was organized the day of our wedding and treated our family like her own (like remembering names and being patient). We cannot recommend her enough!

I cannot say enough great things about Kelsey! After randomly coming across her and seeing her fun, unique photos, and Taylor swift lyrics on her brochure, I knew that I had to book her for our wedding! I think that it is so important to have a photographer who is friendly and personable - I have been in weddings before where the photographers aren’t that friendly and it makes taking photos feel like a chore. Kelsey made us feel so comfortable and working with her was truly pleasant and wonderful. She had our pictures back to us super quick and our guests still can’t stop raving about how amazing they came out. Additionally, Kelsey is quick to respond and makes you feel comfortable enough to ask any small, silly question that you may have. She is also very professional and reliable. I highly recommend using Kelsey for your big day!

Kelsey was incredible to work with! From getting a timeline together for our wedding day photos in the weeks leading up to the wedding, to organizing us day of- everything was stress-free and seamless (even with a large, loud, wedding party). Neither myself nor my husband are big fans of being in front of the camera (I am just awkward :) ), and she made us look beautiful. She was fun to work with and got us our photos back very quickly. I wish we could give Kelsey ten stars. She was so professional and easy to work with, using an easy online booking site to communicate with us regularly and arrange our payments. She was able to provide our preview shots within just a few days of our wedding, and our full gallery was shared with us within two weeks. And they were just beautiful. Our wedding was full of colors — the florals, the decor, my bridesmaids’ outfits — and she captured the day beautifully. Looking back at the photos, I can relive the day moment by moment. The portraits and the candids were equally good. She made compiling our shot list incredibly easy plus she helped us put together our day-of schedule, which was essential as we were planning our wedding ourselves. Her pricing was laid out very clearly for us — no surprises! — and she was so affordable. Plus, she was just so fun to work with. I recommend her wholeheartedly to any couple!

Working with Kelsey was an absolute pleasure. We did a little engagement photo shoot a few days before our wedding (as part of her very generous package) and she quickly made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. Working with Kelsey was like working with a friend, whose easy to talk to and get along with. At the wedding, she did such a wonderful job of getting all of the pictures we requested while maintaining the energy and fun of the event. Also, the photos were BREATHTAKING. She captured fun, intimate and hilarious moments organically and without obstruction. She guided us as needed and had fantastic ideas. We could NOT recommend Kelsey more. In fact, one of my groomsmen who is getting married next summer loved her approach so much that he expressed interest in hiring her for his wedding.

We were so grateful that we chose Kelsey to be our photographer! She was so amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and flexible while planning. She delivered all of our galleries well before the contract deadlines (which are already much faster than average!) and her photos are absolutely beautiful! She captures that most gorgeous portraits and joy-filled candids so effortlessly, and we love that her true to life color style is both modern and timeless. While the bride and groom portraits get a lot of attention (and Kelsey’s are amazing!), I feel like an underrated wedding photographer skill is the ability to capture great candids of the guests during all the special moments. Kelsey captured all of the emotions of our day so perfectly and many of the shots she got of our guests are ones that we cherish the most! We’re so happy that we will always have these to look back on. Many of our guests commented on how much they liked our photographer, and we had so much fun during all of our sessions with Kelsey. She is exactly the type of professional you want with you on your wedding day- we could trust that she had everything locked down, but she also was so kind and fun to work with. Since our wedding we’ve gotten so many comments about how great our photos are. We really can’t recommend Kelsey enough and will be telling all our NY friends to book her!

It's hard to describe how great it was working with Kelsey for my wedding. She truly goes above and beyond. We were lucky enough to have our engagement shoot with her and after that my wife and I knew we needed her for our wedding. All the photos she takes are fun and nothing ever feels forced. She is able to capture the best moments while they are happening so naturally. When it came to family portraits she also nailed it. Working with our dysfunctional families was no easy task but she made it seem so easy. She captured the ceremony perfectly and every large moment at the reception as well. I think the thing that really drives home how great she is is when she was packed up, ready to leave and heading out the door, a guest of ours had quite...a...surprise (I have no idea how to describe someone randomly showing up at our reception in a dinosaur costume). Kelsey unpacked and got even more photos for us. Staying almost another half hour to capture the reaction of our guests. You cannot go wrong choosing Kelsey for anything. Honestly we have used that fact that we could have Kelsey do the photo shoot in our discussions to have kids. Just saying she's that good!

Working with Kelsey has been an unexpected blessing. I had just finished ranting to my (then) fianceé about how unnecessary engagement photos were, when a mutual friend informed us that a photographer was looking for a couple to round out her portfolio. Upon arrival I was apprehensive, but Kelsey made the process easy and fun and had nothing but kind and encouraging words the entire time. When we received the photos I was forced to eat my words as I now believe everyone should have at least one professional photo shoot on their life, and my wife and I could think of no one else to capture all of life's big moments from there on out. Since then Kelsey has shot our intimate "covid-friendly" wedding ceremony hidden away in the Adirondacks as well as our big reception at our local moose lodge, and between the posed photos and the candid shots she encapsulated both events beautifully. No matter where we asked her to go or what we asked her for, she was prepared with a camera bag and a smile to help immortalize our important events. Kelsey is kind, professional, and a savant behind the lens, I highly recommend her to anyone in my life looking for a photographer for any reason.
