The Kelton House is an absolute gem for wedding photography! As Seth & Beth Wedding Photography, we’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless beautiful moments here. The gardens are simply stunning, providing a lush and vibrant backdrop for photos. The ceremony location is perfect, offering an intimate and romantic setting that truly enhances every couple's special day.
I can not recommend the Kelton House highly enough. We had our intimate wedding ceremony here for 13 people and it was perfect. The gardens are gorgeous and the spaces for getting ready were everything we needed. The staff was great to work with. James the event coordinator was super accommodating with anything we needed. The setup when we got there was perfect; it was everything we envisioned and more.
We had our wedding earlier this month at The Kelton House, and everything was absolutely perfect. James was great in accommodating my many questions, and the staff was extremely helpful when helping to set up the morning-of. We had our ceremony outside, and the fall colors in the garden were gorgeous! The guests also had the option to go on a tour of the museum during the reception, and I only heard good things from them. The venue was also very cost effective. I would absolutely recommend this venue!
My wedding at Kelton House was perfect. The staff was very easy to work with and very accommodating and worked with us to have a socially distanced and safe wedding. Because it is a smaller venue, they are able to give us a lot of personal attention, which was great for a bride planning her downsized, last minute Covid-19 wedding!
The garden is GORGEOUS. I got tons of compliments from those that attended in person as well as those that attended the live stream. And the bridal get ready room was beautiful for pictures and has an amazing floor length mirror and blue decor.
I cannot recommend the Kelton House enough!
I absolutely loved having my ceremony at Kelton House. We got so many compliments on the gardens from our guests and it was everything I dreamed my ceremony would be. Chuck is very helpful and caring and incredibly easy to work with. Kelton House is also very budget friendly, I would highly recommend using Kelton House.
Lovely Venue!
Our daughter and her now-husband chose to host their wedding at Kelton House, and it was a great choice for our 70 guests. The garden with pergola was gorgeous and lush, and made for beautiful photos. Tables for a sit-down dinner were set up on the brick patio under large rented tents, and we decorated the trees and shrubs with fairy lights. There was plenty of room for the string quartet that played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. The DJ set up in the carriage house off of the patio, which was perfect for dancing. Chuck, the events coordinator for Kelton House, was very helpful, as were the staff the night of the event. During the cocktail hour, a docent gave tours of the beautiful and fascinating home. Many local vendors, such as Weiland's Catering (also terrific) work with Kelton House regularly, so coordination and planning were pretty easy. If you are planning a small to medium-sized (25-75 guests) wedding, Kelton House is a charming, wonderful choice, and it's quite affordable as well.
We had both our ceremony and reception at the Kelton House and everything was perfect! We had a small wedding (35 guests) and loved the vintage feel the Kelton House offers. We loved that we could use an outside caterer as well and decided to rent the three tents on the terrace in case it rains, which we did wind up using! Chuck, the wedding coordinator, was very professional and kind. Lana & Don were there day of making sure everything looked amazing. They worked so hard and we were very grateful for their efforts. Our wedding was so magical and beautiful. I highly recommend The Kelton House for an unforgettable wedding.
This venue is absolutely beautiful! The carriage house is amazing, and the history of the building is amazing. Just awesome. With the underground railroad room downstairs... so cool.
Unfortunately, it was too small for what we needed. There was an option to get a tent to cover the patio (for a late Oct wedding), but the tent was the same cost as the entire venue!
It's been a dream of mine to get married here. The service and professionalism of the staff at the Kelton House is wonderful from beginning to end. Staff is very informative and honest. Chuck Miller is a gem to the organization. He treats everyone involved in your party like royalty. He and the staff work with vendors so pleasantly. The grounds are beautifully kept and they were true to everything they promised. Interested? Please call them or show for a tour on Sundays... you'll see what I'm talking about. Pictures from just cell phones were amazing. If you are curious, go check it out.
They were so helpful and flexible! Well worth the money
I absolutely loved everything about the Kelton House. Everyone was friendly and they always responded to my questions and e-mails ASAP. The garden was beautiful and they guests really enjoyed the venue. It is on the smaller side so you have to limit your guest list, but they tell you everything you need to know before you sign the contract. Best wedding ever!! :)
My wedding was absolutely beautiful. The staff went out their way to make everything was handlef perfectly. While formal pictures were taken the guest were provided a tour of this historical landmark. I was so pleased with everything.
I had my wedding at the Kelton House in October. It turned out truly lovely. I was disappointed with the fact that only about 40 guests could be seated comfortably in the carriage house and I did not realize that until it was too late. Thus, I had to rent a tent and seat some guests outside. I would recommend it for an event with fewer than 40 guests for a sit down dinner, or maybe for a cocktail party with more guests.
My September 2011 wedding inside the Kelton House Garden was pure magic! The garden created the perfect setting for our elegant, initimate wedding. The grounds are well-kept and the staff is very accomodating considering all the guidelines that have to be followed because of the Kelton House's status on the National Registry of Historic Places. We hosted our wedding ceremony there and our reception elsewhere, because it was too costly for us to host both events there, which is the only drawback.
The Kelton House is beautiful. They gave us a great mini tour and made the night very special for all.
we had our rehersal dinner at the Kelton House and cannot say enough good things. It was a fairly tight fit for our 54 people but we had a large Tuscan style table inside to make sure everone could escape the July heat, and could have fit many more with a different arrangement. Staff were very knowledgeable and the whole planning process went very smoothly. We were even able to have a guide in costume give a tour of the museum to interested guests durring cocktail hour.
I loved that it had indoor and outdoor space. I loved the garden and that it was unique to the typical hotel ballroom. It was intimate and romantic and the staff were very helpful. I also loved that the Kelton House was part of the Underground Railroad and they do school program for kids - so the money for the reception went to a good cause.;There were some mozquitos in the yard so hindsight I would have had a few bottles of non-smelly bug spray on the outdoor tables. The inside room is a little tired, but I think the garden outweighs that. I would not choose this site for a winter wedding, but it was beautiful in the summer.
