Kenny's role went beyond bandleader to schedule-maker, advice-giver, and practically therapist. We had Ken's band play the ceremony, cocktail hour, and beginning of reception. They learned a new song just a few days in advance when we changed our mind about the first dance (thank you!) and the hora was so energetic. The pricing was totally transparent, which I appreciated. After so much time talking on the phone about the wedding, it was great to meet Kenny and the band on the wedding day. Everything went off without a hitch.

I am so glad we went with a band instead of a D.J. and so glad we went with the Ken Ulansey Ensemble. The music was great, the band was fun, and Ken was a pleasure to work with. Many guests said how much they enjoyed the music and how much fun they had.

They really made our ceremony lovely and our wedding party fun. They were great at reading the crowd and keeping everyone dancing and happy, just going from one fun moment to the next. We really appreciate that they learned songs for our wedding and loved the "Everything is Awesome" recessional (Yes, from the Legos movie). They are able to go from classical to Klezmer to funk to 80s to standards seamlessly and beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the soundtrack and the vibe and the energy they brought.

The Ken Ulansey Ensemble is truly outstanding! They recently played at our wedding and we were all blown away by their talent--both in terms of musicianship as well as stage presence. They knew exactly how to read the crowd and deliver. Their range and repertoire is remarkable and each member is incredible in his/her own right. Our wedding would not have been the same without them--they truly made it a party! Additionally, Ken went above and beyond to help us organize the events of our wedding and met with us several times to discuss his role in helping us have the wedding of our dreams. We would highly recommend the Ken Ulansey Ensemble for any and all occasions!

Ken was polite, resourceful, patient and most importantly, talented! Ken and his band were able to fulfill our wish for a very eclectic range of music for our semi-traditional Jewish wedding. He was a great help with wedding planning and had good advice to give, all based on his extensive event experience and musical repertoire. Looking back at our wedding pictures we smile and laugh when see how much fun people were having. EVERYONE, young and old, was on the dance floor! We feel lucky to have found a musician who we hope to hire for lots of events to come. Thank you Ken!

Never have I been at an event that the music created such wonderful energy. They play everything and all the age groups were engaged. Can't wait for another opportunity to hire them. They are simply the best.

My husband and I hired Kenny and his band for our wedding and we were astounded by the quality of the music they played and the professionalism they exhibited. From the very first time Kenny came out to meet us at our studio he was energetic and exciting to talk to. He understood right away what we were looking for. My wife and I are both artists and converted an old factory boiler room into a reception space (with a carnival theme) over the course of a couple months. Kenny came to check the acoustics of the room and help make sure everything was sounding great . The Ensemble provided music for our reception, cocktail hour and ceremony. I can't imagine having had our wedding without this band! One of the unexpected highlights was two of the musicians leaving the stage to serenade each table with an accordion and flute while the guests enjoyed dinner. Simply Amazing! Ken was great to work with! He really understood what it was we were looking for and brought incredibly talented musicians who really made our wedding a party. Everyone had a great time rocking out to all sorts of music. He was a huge help in figuring out the schedule for the reception as well and even helping us make a few last minute tweaks. Everything went really smoothly.

Ken is wonderful, talented, helpful, and knowledgeable both about music and about wedding planning. Not only did he set up the perfect size and style of band to fit our musical tastes but also, along with our caterer, served as a wedding planner – guiding us through our special day and in the weeks and months leading up. We were so grateful to have had him and his band by our site. They know how to read a crowd which keeps everyone happy and the event running smoothly.

We can't say enough. Ken and the band made our party. Our guests are tough customers, and love our band. Was in contact with groom and me throughout the party. Entertained the kids. Couldn't have been better.

As a musician myself, I am pretty picky about music. Ken and his crew did a wonderful job of playing a variety of un-cheesy selections throughout the ceremony and reception that were touching, rockin, groovy, and that exemplified great musicianship. He worked to make it a very personal experience in finding out all of our preferences and tastes.
