Kendal is very personable & I enjoyed all our conversations, but I was very disappointed with the planning experience I had. Our wedding was beautiful, our vendors were all amazing...
, we had a little ceremony issue but it wasn’t even a big deal, we just tried our best to relax & enjoy the entire day. My complaints are mainly communication & payment issues.
I believe I overpaid for the services I received. Kendal told me she was offering what she calls “partial planning” because I had already booked the venue & done several initial steps.
The communication was overall poor in my opinion. We talked some but not consistently & responses were not always timely or there was no follow-up for things we discussed. I would have imagined much better communication at least the week of the wedding, if not also weekly check-ins throughout the planning process. Wouldn’t that be normal/expected? Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like there should be some standard for check-ins from the business you’re paying for a service.
I didn’t even hear from her the week of my wedding until I asked if we could talk (we did) & then I never heard from her the day of the rehearsal dinner until we met up that night. She left before dinner started without even saying anything. I think anyone would think that’s rude! No text to say I’m leaving - nothing. Even the morning of the wedding I didn’t hear from her until she showed up.
I did have a very small wedding with basically just family & because of that, I think some recommendations may have been made to me or rather were not made, based on it resulting in less work for her to do. Maybe I wasn’t a priority because I didn’t have as many guests. I could be wrong, but that was how it felt even the day of. Isn’t what you’re paying for the guidance, organization, suggestions etc? There wasn’t much guidance at all. I really feel like I did most of the work and communication with vendors but she did help me book a band, deal with linens, & go over the timeline at rehearsal/direct us the day of.
She had me mail the checks to her home address as stated in the contract but she told me later she had issues with her mail. I tried contacting her multiple times even prior to the wedding about the last check because it was never deposited - called, emailed, texted, left a voicemail - never heard anything back. I thought maybe she felt bad because she knew she didn’t do the greatest job handling my wedding & just wasn’t ever going to say anything & forget the last payment.
Finally, she responded to my last email, my final attempt - asking if I mailed it to her address, which I did (same place as the first 2 checks). So I cancelled the check I wrote in September and mailed another one in mid-November. She didn’t deposit it until December 19th, right before Christmas. And not surprisingly, she did NOT reach out to let me know she was depositing it. If you want to get paid, your client shouldn’t have to reach out that many times with no reply & you should probably get a PO Box.
Kendal was going to be my partial planner for my wedding this fall. I signed with her in April, & met her in June and we went over some wedding details. She was very kind and seeme...
d experienced! I was excited! After we met, I reached out to her via email 5 times, texted her twice, and heard nothing for 4 weeks. After being “ghosted” for a month, I asked for a refund and she complied which is why I’m giving 2 stars. She didn’t do a single thing on the contract that we signed (aside from the meet up in June). There was clearly no open communication, no access to the wedding portal website, she didn’t reach out to any vendors, etc. I was just disappointed because I was 50 days out & excited… then I was left to find a coordinator on a short limb.

Not only did she do a wonderful job meeting with us, recommending vendors, etc., but she knew just how to communicate with my daughter and I.

and grace. Kendal has been helpful, communicative, positive, and upbeat since the beginning of our working relationship probably 10-12 months before our wedding. She helped me through every single step and I literally would have lost my mind without her. The thought of even trying to plan our wedding without her is crazy! I could provide example after example of Kendal going above and beyond but the list would never end. On the day of, Kendal made everything go off without a hitch and truly made our day what it was. Thank you for everything Kendal! You are the best, seriously!

ne, loving person and is so easy to talk to, which is why she is so amazing at what she does. She is very professional and very organized. Very easy to contact and she was always there when we needed her. She attended meetings with other vendors and made sure we were getting everything we wanted. We had such a stress-free wedding planning process and day of all thanks to Kendal. She has the networking skills to link you up with who best fits your you wedding vision. She even picked my wedding dress up for me the day of my wedding because I had forgotten to do so the day before and then knocked everything else out of the park that day. She is very easy to work with and all of our other vendors were very impressed with how smoothly everything went, thanks to all of her hard work. She created a timeline that kept us all on the same page throughout the day and somehow arranged everything to work out perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for more! I really can’t express how thankful we are for her and her skill set. If you need a wedding planner., look no further! Highly recommend!

ors and made sure we stayed within our budget. She also attended every meeting I requested and helped bring our vision to life! It was raining on my wedding day, with plans of an outdoor ceremony, yikes, right? Luckily the rain subsided before the ceremony (shortly before) and I remember seeing Kendal running, not jogging, running, in order to make sure our ceremony was set and everything in place. My husband even made a comment on her hard work the day after our wedding; yall, husbands do not comment on wedding planners, ever!! She has one of a kind work ethic and and even better personality! Book her now!!
