! At any point on your wedding day you feel a sense of stress or waves of emotions she is there to talk it through with you. She truly puts you as a person and a couple at the forefront of her work. Not to mention she puts in SO much effort prior to your wedding to help you plan and feel confident in your timeline, photos, and the structure of the day. She goes above and beyond to collaborate with your other Vendors and makes the day run as smoothly as possible. Aside from all the work she puts in prior to the big day, she makes the day of AMAZING. I mean in less than 12 hours she had combed through HUNDREDS of photos - chosen amazing shots of the day and edited them to send to us! That is just one example of how they go ABOVE AND BEYOND for their couples! Not only were we able to gush over the photos with her and Katy, but we were able to laugh with them about some of the various memories from the day before - sending selfies of our reactions to each other :) Then...not 1 week later we received MORE sneak peaks - a perfect snapshot of the entire day from start to finish and OMG I could have been just happy with those photos!! Their attention to detail is next level, finding the best ways to shoot their couples to capture their love and relationship with each other and all the people in their lives!!! We received the entire wedding album within a month of our wedidng, which is just another testiment to her work ethic - always putting the couples first and delivering absolutely breathtaking edited photographs. We CANNOT thank Kerri & Katy enough, without them, our wedding day would not have been what it was as they were able to tell it in a way that no one else could. We are eternally grateful for having them as a part of our day, and will ABSOLUTELY continue to find reasons to use them in our lives moving forward. Kerri's price range was a little out of budget for me, but I was SO ecstatic to see if I would be able to still work with her through her associate Katy! We had our first call with Kerri and I knew that this was exactly the kind of team I wanted to work with. The energy, excitement, creativity, and professionalism was exactly what I was looking for. We then got to meet Katy, first on the phone and then for our engagement photos and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Katy is the #1 hype girl and my husband and I had the best time with her. She listened to our vision involving the perfect fall day and a trip to Dairy Queen and executed it perfectly! We freaking love our engagement pictures and have an entire wall in our place that is displaying them. All day she spent time and detail in capturing every genuine, sweet, fun, and intimate moment! Literally THE NEXT DAY, Kerri reached out already with 11 photos from the day! I was so excited to relive some of our favorite moments right away and placed and order to print 2 of them immediately. If thats not impressive enough, later that week, ON THANKSGIVING MORNING, Kerri was thinking about us and putting in the work for us to get us a preview gallery with 200+ photos in it! We hired Kerri for our engagement photos back in October of 2020, and it was by far one of the best decisions we made, and we knew of course we had to hire her for our wedding. We trusted Kerri with everything regarding our wedding, from asking her opinion on venues, to photo locations, and other vendors. She was the very first vendor we hired for our wedding before ANYONE else. Her sunshine and smile and love is infectious, and you can't help but laugh and feel the joy from the inside out, which shows in all the beautiful photos she takes. Our family and friends were blown away by the photos and said they were some of the most beautiful photos they had ever seen. Kerri knew and understood all of the things that were important to us, and made sure to capture all the small details. Our love of Jenis icecream and golden retrievers are the same, and no matter what she will make you feel comfortable even if it your first time in front of a camera. I could go on and on and on about Kerri, my only regret is having not yet met her associate Katy, who I'm sure is just as amazing and wonderful and full of light. I can try.... Sorry in advance for the lengthy post but hang with me because it is well, WELL deserved: Originally a 2020 bride supposed to get married in SW Michigan with a different photographer, but was basically ghosted by original photographer from the start (trust your gut with vendors, ladies). As a result of dealing with a shady wedding venue and shady Michigan photographer, we decided on a Chicago micro-wedding for the fall and a new photographer. Serendipitously, as plans were changing I saw pictures someone had posted of their wedding that Kerri had taken and decided to reach out and see if she was available for our new plans. From the moment I had connected with Kerry, she was responsive, bubbly, and personable. In addition, her pictures are FLIPPING GORGEOUS! Unfortunately, we had to change plans with our Chicago wedding a couple of times because of Covid and venue closures, and Kerri was helpful every step of the way. She went above and beyond as a photographer and would reach out with ideas for our wedding day, but would also check-in to see if we were doing okay. Not necessary to do AT ALL, but much appreciated as we were dealing with the craziness of the pandemic. Settled on an Upper Peninsula Michigan wedding which was a 6-7 hour drive from Chicago as our plan z option. Kerri had a wedding the night before, but agreed to do this because that is just the type of dedicated professional she is. Fast forward to the night before, and the weather was projected to be terrible during the ceremony time. We reached out to Kerri *AT 9 PM THE NIGHT BEFORE* and asked if we could push our timeline up earlier to avoid any crappy weather which meant that she had to drive through the night through the middle of nowhere, and she agreed to it with no if’s/and’s or but’s!!!!!!!! The day of the wedding was hectic (naturally), and we ended up having to get ready quickly as the weather was getting poor even earlier than anticipated, but Kerri was a great point person for the group. She was calm and positive the entire time, and was able to get us through the whole day without a hitch. The weather was worst-case scenario, but she was very attentive to make sure that our group had everything we need to make the day run smoothly. Our group of two families LOVED her, and are so thankful that she was our photographer. She was a natural addition to our tight-knit families, she even stayed for dinner after and was there for the laugh’s as we reflected on how amazing the day was. She was very prompt in delivering photos-the day after she sent a “sneak peak” of more than a handful and pics, and she sent our whole array of pictures in an extremely timely manner!! We are OBSESSED with how the look, and are ordering prints soon!!! When it came time to discuss who we wanted as a second photographer, we didn't even give it a second thought- we knew we had to have her there again. After having a disaster situation with our first photographer, we knew exactly what we wanted for our second one, and Kerri exceeded our expectations. Stop looking- you found your gal!!!!!!!!!!

Kerri brought electric energy to my wedding day and I felt like I was in a fairy tale (even with only 10 people present). Kerri, no joke the second thing Kyle and I said once we got in the limo (after saying how happy we were married) was “having Kerri at our wedding made this day so special. She is MAGIC”. I have reconnected with friends from the past because they can’t help but comment on how stunning Kerri’s photos are, she’s THAT good. Kerri means the world to my husband and I. Truly the best.

ur plans changed like many and we decided to downsize to a 15-person wedding, we can't say how grateful we are for the absolutely amazing photos Kerri captured so that not only we, but all of our close family and friends who couldn't be there could experience the day. Seriously SO unbelievable....can't stop looking at our photos over again so we can relive the feelings from our day. Kerri's photography style immediately caught our eye as she just seemed to capture genuine happiness and those real moments that could bring you back. Once we spoke with her on the phone, we knew that her energy would also bring so much to our day. After getting to know Kerri better from coordinating our engagement photos, discussing with our original wedding timeline, and then plans #2 and #3 after that, it was so easy to see how much she cares about her couples, goes beyond photography in helping you out and is just an overall amazing person. Fast forward to our wedding day, Kerri captured us and our day in the most beautiful and best way, kept our people on time and stayed way later than she had to to continue capturing and hanging for a dance or two. I could go on and on, but Kerri is absolutely the best and so talented. We couldn't be happier with our photos!

In our very first meeting, what she wanted most was to get to know us as a couple and as people. What we love about Kerri is her love for people and for her job. There was never moment when she wasn’t full of joy. Kerri is also the photographer that will be what you need her to be. She is a firecracker and the life of a party, but she also knows how and when to take control of a shoot or during your wedding portraits. We trusted Kerri throughout our wedding planning season up until the day, and she exceeded all of our hopes. Her work is amazing, her personality is the dream. NOW onto the actual pictures she took. We are not very photogenic people, so it’s hard for us to feel great while a camera is aimed our way. But Kerri made us feel confident and comfortable and she gave us an experience and pictures we will treasure forever. We have so many of them printed and are so so obsessed with the work she did. We can’t even believe the gift she has given us in the most candid of pictures. I don’t know how she does it, but she truly captures the most perfect pictures that we will always cherish. You can stop looking for a photographer, you found the perfect one in Kerri Carlquist!!

She knew how to make people laugh for "candid" shots and how to make you feel like the beautiful bride/groom that you are! The quality of her photos are out of this world, and made me think that they were for a magazine or marketing campaign for a bridal line. This was one of the greatest investments we made for our day! agreed that she was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding vendors. From constantly reaching out to see if we were needing help throughout the process, to making us feel comfortable in front of the camera, to even putting together pretty much our entire schedule for us based on every photo we were hoping to get done (like Rain Man-style in front of us over drinks and getting the timing down EXACTLY) - Kerri time and time again somehow made us feel like her only clients. We'd eventually come to the realization that we were not in fact her only clients after constantly seeing her amazing work come through on our social feeds. After the wedding, our entire wedding party couldn't stop raving about how good she is at her job and how she was born to be a wedding photographer. I know you don't know me but just hire her - take my word for it... you WON'T regret it!!!
