However, after a brief conversation with Kerrigan, I felt confident entrusting her with all the details, and she delivered beyond my expectations. Temperament: Kerrigan was not only gentle and caring but also assertive when needed, especially during vendor meetings. Vendor/Venue Selections & Negotiations: Kerrigan expertly advocated for us with vendors, whether they were our choices or recommendations she provided. Her knowledge of services, costs, and savings opportunities while maintaining the desired ambiance was invaluable. Design: Despite limited input and lofty ideas, Kerrigan curated a cohesive design encompassing flowers, tablescapes, invitations, furniture rentals, lighting, and more, all perfectly suited to the venue. Project Management: Kerrigan meticulously managed the budget, keeping us informed of vendor payments and deadlines. She provided regular progress updates, offered multiple vendor options for each aspect, and even went above and beyond by reminding us of tasks like obtaining a marriage license and ensuring we had lunch on the day of the event. She handled all vendor communications flawlessly. The wedding was nothing short of stunning, and we almost wished we could have been guests at our own event. Fortunately, we have a beautiful photo gallery to relive the magical day. In hindsight, we wouldn't change a single thing.

Then a literal wedding nightmare ensued -- less than six months prior to our wedding date, Hurricane Ian hit Florida and our venue was destroyed. Despite having to handle the repercussions of her own home being hit by the hurricane, within a week of the disaster Kerrigan was online and helping me come up with a Plan B, C and D. Given that many of the venues in the area were similarly hurricane-stricken, we decided to move our wedding back to Chicago. I didn't expect that Kerrigan would stay on and help from a thousand miles away - but she did that and SO MUCH MORE. Kerrigan literally planned a perfect wedding for us in Chicago -- she worked with all the vendors, travelled to Chicago and was flexible and positive at every turn! She gave me just the right amount of encouragement at every turn and executed what we had discussed to a tee. Our wedding turned out beautifully and I could not be more grateful to have worked with such an adaptable, responsive and professional planner. Truly the best!
