Maggie was wonderful to work with and made our wedding so special! She was incredibly easy to get ahold of and responded back to our requests quickly. She was able to accommodate special music from various video games and movies we loved, weaving them together with other similar music. Any music suggestion she made added so much more depth to our ceremony and reception. We loved having live music, and she is such a talented musician that our outdoor wedding turned out magical thanks to her! We had so many guests compliment how the addition of live music made the event so special, many of them raving about Maggie’s choice of Celtic classics. We can’t say thank you enough!!! Highly recommend.

Susie and Kessler Strings were incredible to work with. After consulting with us on song preferences and what we envisioned for our ceremony and reception they curated a song list that made the whole day magical. We got so many comments and praises on the string music. They were professional, easy to work with and reasonably priced. It was one of the highlights of our day! Hire them, you won’t regret it.

Susan was wonderful to work with! She aided in the song selection and was so kind every step of the way. She even came to the rehearsal, which was essential in helping things run smoothly the day of my wedding. Everyone loved the live music during the ceremony! It was truly magical.

We had them do a strings duo for our wedding ceremony and they were terrific. The owner was polite and flexible. They had a great song selection and were able to do a request which they played beautifully.

Overall we were disappointed with Kessler Strings. They played all of the songs in the incorrect order, even though it had been discussed multiple times how important the placement was. It was discussed verbally many times and confirmed via email before the wedding. The song for both the bride and groom to come down to were played before them. They did, however, play the right song when the bride went down, but it was also played right before that so it wasn’t as special. Aside from the wrong songs being played, they were also playing a lot of sour notes and off-time. Honestly the only thing that really went wrong the whole day was this service.

Working with Kessler Strings was a dream. We went with a string quartette and the music was magical. Susie helped us pick just the right music for us and worked seamlessly with our day-of wedding coordinator to make our outdoor ceremony all that we wished for. Kessler Strings did an amazing job adding ambiance to my tiny outdoor wedding in Brown County, Indiana! Susie was super easy to work with through the planning process and made our song list exactly what we wanted. She was also able to let us know what songs wouldn't work as well so we could pick something different. We did a duet and they sounded perfect!

I had a very low budget, DIY wedding and our violinist (Kara) was just what we needed to add a little bit of elegance to our intimate ceremony. Even though we were planning during a global pandemic, Susie and Kara truly made it effortless! Very easy going and professional. And my guests really loved the sound of a live instrument rather than a DJ. Not to mention they have very, very resonable prices that would fit almost any budget! I highly recommend them for any wedding!

Outstanding experience from start to finish! Prompt communication, fair prices, and a friendly attitude. As a musician of 12+ years myself, I had very high expectations... and Kessler Strings exceeded them. I hired all 4 members to play my wedding & I highly recommend the quartet as the depth and variation of sound I received ensured my favorite pieces sounded as beautiful and full as possible. My contact, Susie, listened to my requests, demonstrated exceptional knowledge of wedding arrangements, and played BEAUTIFULLY! At my request, she even sent me a recording of their performance at my wedding so I could enjoy later. The solid musicianship brought tears to my eyes. Kessler Strings has a large repertoire of pieces they can play, if you want to hear something specific but don't see it on their website, just ask! They are so willing to work with you and have a conversation about how to best make your dreams a reality, something that really differentiated Kessler Strings from other quartets :) By far, this was my favorite vendor to work with in my entire wedding experience. Susie was reassuring, flexible, and kind through COVID changes. It was a treat for my guests as well, many commented that a string quartet made our wedding stand out as unique, classy, and fun!

Kessler Strings performed at our wedding on November 16, 2019. A class act! Susie was great to work with in the planning stages and based on what we requested, she customized an unbelievable playlist of our favorite newer songs and many classics. The guests commented on knowing most of the songs and how unique it was as the whole ceremony and reception came alive on the strings. (If you haven’t heard songs made famous by Guns N Roses, U2, or Coldplay on strings then you’re missing out.) They kept the guests entertained while we had pictures. I had the pleasure of working with Susie at a recent wedding. It was a small wedding in the Indiana State House so the couple decided to hire just one musician but wanted the music to match the classic grandeur of the venue. Viola music was perfect! When I first sat down with the couple to discuss officiating their ceremony I asked what type of music they were having. They had already hired Susie and they were very pleased with their decision from the start! Susie was very personable and easy going. When I met her before the wedding she there early and ready to start on time. We had the best experience with Kessler Strings! From the initial meeting with Susie to continued communication up until our wedding day, they handled all of our needs flawlessly! We ended up choosing many songs that were on their website (so helpful!) We even deviated and asked them to learn a new song for our recessional, and they were thrilled to deliver. Susie and her partner for the duo were fantastic! Having the strings really added to the right ambiance of our outdoor wedding. Susie was so great to work with. She really listened to what we wanted and with her whole heart gave us her best. She met with us at least 3 times to go over everything and even customized an intro for us on the bridal march. She is a top notch musician and top notch person. Also, just a little extra personal touch, she coordinated her outfit with the wedding vibe. She looked beautiful! it never hurts to also have someone so pretty sitting up in front of all your guests. She is passionate about music and passionate about pleasing the bride! You can't go wrong. (you should book her before she realizes she could charge more for her superior skills!)
