Khalil & Co. Makeup and Hair

e. We started our hair and just casually around 8:45am Selina asked Morgan where makeup was? This all ensued the chaos that would begin. Selina showed the confirmations and Morgan tried contacting the owner who never answered her phone as I sat there and witnessed the entire event. There was NO EMERGENCY that occurred. An emergency is classified as something out of a persons control (ie weather, death, accidents etc) yet bride and all women getting hair and makeup were there with no emergency occurring. The scheduled artist Sara was even called right in front of us and she as well had NO EMERGENCY as she just said she wasnt informed and went to go work her other job instead. Mind you at this point the owner has not answered her phone or even called the bride to address the situation. If it was not for Morgan the entire day would have been a disaster. Morgan took it upon herself to call one makeup artist who willingly helped out and found a second artist (who NO LONGER works for the company) but came out on her own as a blessing to help. The only reason a second artist was sent out (at no charge as Adriana puts it) is because there was no makeup artist sent in the first place and 8 women needed makeup. Being late, there was no way one artist would have completed everyone and the second showed up as a blessing because she doesn't even work for Adriana. These women were phenomenal in assuring the bride was still taken care of and not stressed out with the company's mistake. The owner finally answered but at this time the entire situation was already taken care of and the owner NOT ONCE called the bride to apologize for HER MISTAKE. There was no emergency that occurred since everyone was there and the makeup artists were simply not informed of the event since they themselves had NO EMERGENCY either. As a business owner myself, I find it in such poor taste that the owner never called to apologize or own up to her MISTAKE. I would highly recommend Morgan, Jacqui and Lyndsey without a doubt if you can hire them individually but would not recommend Khalil & Co as a business with poor taste in handling of the situation and making excuses to the bride instead of just apologizing and saying she made a mistake. Thankfully Morgan, Jacqui and Lyndsey were professional and wonderful in ensuring Selina's day was still magical.

tist did not show up on my wedding day. Thankfully my amazing hair stylist, Morgan was able to call two makeup artists that she knew as backup to come help out two hours later. I never received an apology or call back from Adriana about this mistake. When I expressed how upset I was with the way she didn't handle the situation, she told me that it's written in the contract that if an emergency happens it will be handled, however this was not an emergency she never responded . This caused much stress and frustration not only for myself but my bridal party as well because they were frantically trying to find a solution. I would not recommend Khalil and Co. to anyone for any event but instead each individual artist for freelance work. (Hair: Morgan and Makeup: Jacqui and Lyndsey). All of the credit goes to these three artists.

ot to mention super timely! They were on top of EVERYTHING! Me being the person I am, it was so nice to have someone so reliable. Every single trial I had, their work became more and more perfect! They were able to execute my vision flawlessly & I couldn't be more thankful since I had no idea what I really wanted. The day of our wedding, they were right on time even though it was insanely early :( Adriana and Debbie were so happy to be there & helped put me at ease. We had the music going & everyone had such a great time getting ready. We had 11 hair & makeup, and they actually ran early! So nothing was rushed and there was more than plenty of time for touch ups. All of my girls were so pleased with their hair and airbrush makeup. We all still looked stunning more than 12 hours later! I couldn't be more thankful for all of their hard work and dedication! I will continue to recommend them for all of my bride friends and anyone needing their services! :) We love you Khalil & Co!

l. They were so willing to do anything and everything we asked for, even down to my green eyeliner to make my eyes pop. Sandy was able to do both hair and makeup, so the three of them were able to tackle all us girls in a short amount of time. They’re all incredibly sweet and were the perfect trio to have with us that day. Makeup and hair lasted from 11am when they left until midnight... some even until the next morning! Book them. Do trials. It’s totally worth it for the peace of mind you’ll get knowing they’ll have everything perfect! Love them!

Adriana, (1) lacked professional attire to this job (showed up in tennis, leggings and tank top) and (2) none of her makeup packaging had been cleaned prior to this job. I'm concerned if the outer packaging was not clean, the makeup itself was not sanitized risking infections from client to client. Since this was a bridal party of 6, again for sanitary reasons, one would think the MUA would pack more than just a few brushes to use between girls. I'm disappointed in the lack of mascara the MUA had on hand for drugstore mascara irritates my eyes. I wore false eyelashes myself but if someone is a mascara lover Estee Lauder, Lancome or Origins would be a great option. Yes, one works with makeup all day and packaging tends to get dirty but one would expect a Makeup Artist featured on The Knot would have more pride into how she presents her products and herself regardless of her great skills. I will repeat, this is not a bashing review, and it is not an attack on the MUA, this is all constructive criticism from a professional standpoint.

on the girls that went earlier in the morning before we left in the afternoon. They finished with plenty of time to accommodate any last minute changes and make sure myself, 8 bridesmaids, and family members all looked outstanding. They came to my home and it was so nice to have this convenience!! The girls were kind, fun, and transparent. They provided their feedback on certain looks, but were willing to match anything my girls provided an inspirational photo of. Most of my party got there airbrush makeup and everyone loved it! They just did such a great job, I can't recommend them enough! Great company that does a great job! Thank you, Khalil & Co.

I contacted the owner, she said it’s because I picked the loose curls for a hair style, as if I was the first bride to be to want that look. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything. Invest your money I wisely! You will not get what you want here, plus they will blame you for their failure.

day, the hair portion, done by Angel, ran quite a bit behind and it was a little hectic towards the end. All of our hair styles turned out beautifully and everyone was happy. Just a tip is to be more aware of the timing. Other than that - I do recommend them, they do great work! Thank you!

ly very minimalistic with my make-up, but Adriana and Debbie exceed my expectations in every way. Adriana always responded promptly to my messages and the entire process with Khalil & Co. was stress free. Since I live in Dallas, I wasn’t able to have a makeup and hair trial, but after looking over their Instagram, I knew I would be in good hands! The ladies were on-time and worked quickly, even though several of us had lots of hair! They came prepared with their own chairs and all the necessary equipment. It was the most stress-free aspect of my day since the girls chatted with us and played a great playlist! I chose to have airbrush makeup, and I was really happy with the result. I cried a bit, then wiped my tears, and still looked flawless! Additionally, one of my bridesmaid has very dry skin, and it looked great on her as well! My photographer just sent me the final photos from the wedding, and some of my favorite shots are of the back of my head, because my hair was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Before starting, Debbie and I discussed a few photos I had sent for inspiration. Debbie helped me decide on the right look based on my hair texture, and then she worked her magic. Seriously, magic. My hair was AMAZING! And it stayed in place the entire night! Thank you both so much for making my day significantly less stressful and so much more beautiful!

ed our initial contract. All additional services were then kicked up to the higher rate, where another vendor honored all prices at the time of initial booking. Third, when paying through paypal, they will require you to pay as friends and family; otherwise, you get the 3% fee charged to you. This fee is to be paid by the vendor according to paypal, and protects you from not receiving goods or services you pay for. I didn't want to have to pay this, so essentially, I forfeited my protection. Fourth, my Maid of Honor had her granddaughter's hair done, who is 6 years old. She was charged $75, when it took them maybe 20 minutes to do her hair. This was a bit ridiculous considering I paid the same for each of the bridesmaids, and it took way longer! Fifth, there was no restroom at their facility. They had apparently lost the key to the restroom a while back, and we all had to go down the stairs to the starbucks. Adriana was prompt in responding to questions, but had I known this was going to be my experience, I would have went with my original choice.

until the end of the night! Adriana did such an awesome job with my makeup! I looked flawless the entire night! I definitely recommend paying the extra money for the airbrush! it is amazing! it withstood all my tears! I wasn't too happy with my bridal trial makeup but Adriana was so accommodating and we made a few minor tweaks for the day of the wedding and i was absolutely in love with my makeup! Pricing is affordable and reasonable and the quality is amazing! I totally recommend using Khalil and Co.

ion, she’s absolutely amazing at what she does! I really had no idea what I wanted, and she worked with me to get it absolutely perfect. I felt so beautiful, and got compliments on my makeup all day (and night!) long! If you’re looking for somewhere to go for your wedding day, look no further!

erall. She didn't make me feel bad for changing the game plan, or nervous that we were taking up so much time. On the back end of it I never actually received a final breakdown of what all I paid for. I'm sure this is a one off, but I received a copy of the bill prior to the trial run, but we added/changed some services while we were there. I'm sure the overall pricing was close, but when there's 10 hairs, 2 make ups, 4 or 5 lashes, liquid make up versus traditional, it gets tough to keep up with. Part of our additions was adding extra lashes for some of the bridesmaids, but ultimately on wedding day we were told that those weren't paid for and none of us had cash on us. It put me in a stressful spot, I had already told the bridesmaids that they were counted for and that everything was paid up and good, yet I'm scrambling trying to find someone who has cash on them. I did end up Venmo-ing the $30 dollars to Khalil & Co, and all is well, but in the future I think it would be great to have a cashapp/ venmo/ option to service any last minute unexpected add ons. Overall great group, efficient, sweet, and made every girl feel beautiful!

Most of us had airbrush makeup done (highly recommended), while one bridesmaid had traditional makeup, and we all had various hair styles. I took a chance by not scheduling a hair and makeup trial since I live in Dallas, but everything came out so perfect. Lyndsay and Morgan were so sweet and fun and to work with. I highly recommend these talented artists for your wedding day hair and makeup, you will not be disappointed!

In the end, I looked amazing while still recognizing myself in the mirror! I cannot say enough good things about this group. but was getting married in San Antonio. I had a trial appointment about a month before my bridal portraits with Adriana and one of her hairstylists and it went pretty well--the look wasn't exactly what I wanted but the appointment made me comfortable with Adriana and confident about the changes I wanted for my portraits. There was a staffing change before my portraits and Adriana informed me right away that my hair was going to be done by another hairstylist. I was fine with the change and appreciated the fact that Adriana reached out to me quickly about the change. On the day of my portraits, I was running late but Adriana was very understanding. Adriana and the new hairstylist Destiny completed my hair and makeup quickly and efficiently and I was really happy with the outcome--I liked my hair even more with Destiny than with the previous hairstylist! On my wedding day, my bridesmaids, my mom, and I went to Adriana's apartment for our various hair and makeup appointments. Adriana said she was ok with us bringing champagne and snacks, which we really appreciated! For 2.5 hours, she and Destiny worked on mine and my bridal party's hair and makeup and in the end, everyone looked AWESOME. My two previous appointments with Adriana and one appointment with Destiny resulted in the exact perfect look I'd been hoping for. My makeup lasted and looked great all day (which is super impressive because I got married on a REALLY hot day in June) and my hair stayed put until the very end of my reception (also impressive because I was dancing a lot!). Adriana and her company are fantastic and I highly recommend them to San Antonio-area brides!
