The Kilburn Event Center was voted South Coast’s Number One Wedding Venue. Located in the historic Kilburn Mill, a textile mill built in 1903, The Event Center occupies the third floor with sweeping views of Clark’s Cove, Buzzard’s Bay and New Bedford’s historic South End Peninsula. Each or our rooms feature natural white pine flooring, twenty-foot ceilings and soaring windows in a space that is at once historical, rustic, elegant …a look we define as Industrial Chic.
The Dartmouth Room (capacity 220), an all-white space with windows overlooking Clark’s Cove, attaches to The Rooftop Deck ideal for outside ceremonies and cocktails, with an indoor Gallery that allows for an indoor/outdoor cocktail experience. This room can combine with the Gallery to seat up to 300 guests, with an adjoining cocktail in our Cove Room or The Rodney French Room.
The Cove Room serves as a weather plan for outdoor ceremonies, or can be used as a cocktail space, or for an intimate ‘micro wedding’.
Our Rodney French Room faces New Bedford’s Peninsula district, and attaches to The Rooftop Deck. Seating up to one-hundred fifty guests, it is great for a more rustic feel, with exposed brick walls and warmer-toned décor.

gement changes mid-planning which did have a negative impact on our experience, but I will say that working with Tricia and Drew from D &D Caterers was wonderful. Tricia is the best- she’s so organized and lovely to work with, and the food was great. If it wasn’t for the licensing and management changes, I would give it 5 stars- but still a gorgeous venue!

he event space at the mill following the pandemic. We loved Robb's honesty and general vibe. He has his shit together, but he's also very kind and was so helpful as we kicked-off our wedding planning process. He really sold us on the vision that he had for the Kilburn Mill Event space. We put our trust in Robb and MAN, did he deliver! We held our ceremony on the roof deck overlooking the water. Robb's team helped ensure that everything was decorated and set up the way that we had envisioned it. For cocktail hour, Robb helped us choose the most amazing signature cocktails -- blueberry vodka lemonade and a watermelon margarita! They were SO good! And he even made sure to have 'Gansett on hand for my husband. Kyle was our right-hand-man on the day of the event and he did an awesome job making sure everything was running smoothly. The venue has so much history and is so unique. Our guests loved it, too! We haven't stopped hearing compliments about what a cool venue it is and we cannot wait to get all of our photos back from our photographer!

felt like it was meant to be as soon as I saw the space. They were still newer to the event game, but the space itself was breathtaking and I believed in their future vision! Working with Robb and his crew there was absolutely amazing. They took our imagination and brought it to life. Robb was very responsive, helpful, and put my nerves at ease, especially as a “COVID bride” and a Bride planning from across the country! They were all incredibly professional, and so incredibly kind. They worked seamlessly with my other vendors and made the night perfect! I would recommend this venue, especially Robb and his team, to any couple looking for something different than the classic “New England” beach wedding vibe.
