at the website for Kilker Photography, it was love at first sight! I absolutely love her photography style. We booked our engagement photo shoot to be outside, on the morning of, it was raining. Gail called me and said she had done other shoots in the rain and they turned out great. She quickly emailed me photos to give me an idea. After seeing the photos I agreed to proceed. Once we got there it was pouring down rain and we were very limited to getting great photos. Gail decided to let us reschedule and she had a great idea for us to get soaked in the rain while she continued to shoot. These photos turned out so awesome and once we rescheduled those photos were great as well. We had so many to choose from. Gail kept great lines of communication leading up to the wedding. She always responded very quickly. On the wedding day, Gail and her partner arrived early and got to work right away. She was full of so many great ideas. She's very creative and clearly thinks outside the box. It actually rained on my wedding day as well but this didn’t stop her from getting amazing photos. I received my photos in less than a month after my wedding with almost 2,000 to choose from. All of the photos were absolutely breathtaking. Each time I look at the photos, I feel like I am reliving the day. She truly captured every special moment. I could not imagine a better photographer. I am so very grateful to have gotten to work with such a gifted artist!

I had done an engagement shoot with a "friend" and it didn't go well at all, so I called called Gail up and set up a meeting. I knew as soon as we set down that my mind was made up. She showed us some examples of her work and I fell in love with her creativity, and the way she captured every moment perfectly. This was what I wanted for my special day. 13 months go by and she was always so responsive to every email I sent and very reassuring when I was getting nervous. She did an engagement shoot for us that was beautiful and also helped me to find my hair and makeup artist. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is, but there isn't enough time or space. All I know is that when my wedding day came, Gail was on time, ready to rock and took the most astonishing, beautiful brilliant photos I could have ever imagined. Her assistant, Houlton was right there to capture anything and everything she couldn't. As a team, they worked well together, they were friendly to our guests and very accommodating. Lastly,over the last several months, Gail has become my friend, she is an sensational photographer....PERIOD!!! Whether you need her for family photos, wedding, engagement, modeling....she is hands down my top pick! Thank you Gail so much for all that you have done. You are truly an amazingly beautiful person, inside and out!

time to all of my emails, she was very thorough and had a lot of options to choose from with pricing/packages. On our wedding day, she arrived early and took pictures of the venue and scenery which was a pleasant surprise! She and her husband captured every single moment and detail of our wedding. I received my photo gallery link within 2 weeks of our wedding (which is almost unheard of in the photography world!!). She took over 1000 photos and edited all of our pictures so that we had several options to choose from with each and every shot. I cried when I saw how fantastic the photos were. I was merely speechless- the quality and quantity of the photos far surpassed my expectations. Kilker Photography is the absolute BEST there is when it comes to wedding photography!

One set of our friends even flew her to Jamaica so she could be their photographer. Our wedding photos are so "us" and are so beautiful. we're THRILLED with the outcome. First, to cover some boring details: Gail stayed in touch, was prompt in responding, and was SUPER flexible with our schedule, which was kind of crazy given that I was planning everything from Arizona and not in MD very often. She met us in the Inner Harbor on a chilly, windy day for our engagement session and spent a LOT of time with us, took us all over the place, and despite the fact that my hair blew all over and was sometimes up in a messy bun, she managed to get HUNDREDS of awesome pictures out of it. We love them, and everyone who's seen them loves them. Next, for the actual wedding. She and Houlton met us at two different locations obscenely early in the day (I think 7:30). She got awesome shots of us girls getting ready, and Houlton got to take GREAT pics of the guys goofing off together in a nearby park. Gail travelled with the girls from the hair place, to our dressing place, and back to the church. During all the mayhem of getting ready, Gail took some awesome photos AND managed to help out (doing little stuff like finding what you need means a lot when you're scrambling to get ready---doing that and not pissing a picture, she really goes above and beyond). On the way to the church, she snapped a picture of my MOH's bouquet in the car---it's one of my favorite shots of our details, and I don't think any of us knew it happened because we were so focused on getting there. Our photographs from the wedding are amazing. The posed shots all look great, and the unplanned ones are awesome too! They STILL look like they should be in magazines, even with our oddball crew in them. She got great shots of all of our details and the finished products look better than I could have ever hoped. She put everything on a website that everyone can access, and she left out pictures that she thought we wouldn't want to share (i'm thinking specifically of the shot of my ass as I'm getting dressed, showing off my veil thong). She took suggestions easily & happily (we wanted to do one of the bride with all the guys and vice versa), and was super patient and took a bunch of impromptu shots of our family at the reception, sitting together posed, portrait-style. I love that she gets the right blend of traditional and unique---nothing looked stuffy or awkward, everything looks romantic or fun or special. I have literally nothing bad to say about her, which I'm sure is hard to believe, but it's the total truth. I can say that my now husband thought it was pricey, and I know her price has gone up since we did our package, but it was worth every penny, especially given the amount of time and photos (we have almost two thousand!) for the cost. If really capturing your day is important, and you want photos to go with your memories, it's totally worth it. I can also say she's soft-spoken/quiet (at least, in our experience), and I think before the wedding we were worried about her not being able to get everyone together/posed. Between our big mouths and Houlton's more commanding voice, it wasn't an issue. Lastly, as we were being posed for some shots, I was thinking, "ew, these are going to be so weird". Of course, they're our faves! Bottom line? Everything was PERFECT.

ould have made. My best friend got married the year before us, and she found Gail through references from local photographers. After seeing the pictures from my friend's wedding, I knew that Gail would be the perfect person to shoot our wedding. Both my husband and I really like the photojournalistic approach to photography, rather than having more of the "posed" shots. I really think that Kilker Photography specializes in this. I believe that this was her first destination wedding, and she did a beautiful job. She really used the landscaping and elements of the resort around us to make our pictures turn out so well, and they were tailored to our taste and personality . I have been told by many people that the pictures look like something out of a magazine. Gail was really easy to work with, and didn't make us feel at all uncomfortable or uptight. She made it easy to relax and just enjoy our day. One of my bridesmaids also got engaged on our trip, and Gail took the time out of her vacation to come and take some shots of the engagement. She showed up right before the future groom popped the question, so all of the shock and excitement were captured in the pictures. This really meant a lot to my husband and I, as well as our friends, since they now have professional pictures to remember their engagement! Overall I have nothing negative to say about our experience with Kilker Photography. I have recommended them to some of my other friends who are getting married this year, and all of them are using Gail. Kilker Photography is awesome!!

is out there. Gail Kilker came highly recommended from my good friend Jacqueline Couture of Newport Rhode Island. She had seen Gail's work adorning the walls of her best friend's house. She forwarded me some sample pictures of a child with her mother and I was astonished at the beauty in front of me. I knew I had found the right person for the job. I immediately called the photographer and interviewed her on the phone. Later I flew out to personally meet her at her studio. I hired her on the spot. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with the results. Gail, the owner is an outstanding photographer and she arranged so many shots that I wouldn't even dream of. Because of her, I have the best wedding pictures any bride could hope to have. I cannot thank her enough. There is no one better!

Kilker Photography was extremely excellent at capturing, not just the typical "bride" moments, but also capturing the entire wedding in a way that was very professional and artistically creative. This particular wedding did have an unfortunate event occur (the "groom" did not show up! ) & yet Gail Kilker was able to keep things rolling in a way that made the evening move very smoothly. She worked very well in an uncomfortable situation & really helped everyone involved ( especially the bride ) keep it together. Her attention to detail was amazing & I would surely recommend her team for your wedding or any other important event you would like captured from a flattering & artistic point of view. Her services and demeanor were very personable & she made everyone feel at ease and comfortable on our side of the camera. When our wedding consultant referred Gail's website to us, I was immediately struck by the candidness and gentle "storybook style" photo galleries presented on her website. We knew immediately that Gail was the perfect fit for our upcoming November nuptials. Gail's full service array of photography packages were cost effective, customizable and well within budget. My husband and I simply enjoyed our engagement session with Gail. At times, we almost forgot that Gail was even present during the photo shoot .. she is just that amazing when it comes to staying focused on the subject matter without interruption. It shows in Gail's finished product her sincere appreciation for color, light and architecture. We had the pleasure of displaying our engagement session during our wedding reception in the mansion foyer and our loved ones were overwhelmed with delight. s amazing that Gail was able to capture so many genuine moments while at the same time went almost undetected. Resourceful and subtle, she quietly seized every opportunity to snap photos of this special day. I swear at times I forgot she was even in the room with us, until I'd hear the almost inaudible "click" of the camera. Her free-spirit captured many original, laid-back group shots of the bridal party, yet her keen eye and experienced background also led to many formal, posed photographs as well. If you have been a bride before, I do not even have to explain what goes through your head if your photographer cancels...and a week before your wedding. I have very high and specific standards when it comes to photography, as it being that I use to have a photography website myself in Hawaii, and I was trying to keep it together to find the perfect photographer for the perfect price...who photographs with the style I wanted. I found Gail on Craigslist that same day, checked out her website, and loved her style...very vintage! She was able to fit me in within the time constraints that I had. Gail took time out of her schedule to meet me and my bridal party a few days before to go over the photo plans and EVERY DETAIL! She arrived ON TIME, stayed ALL DAY, shot what I wanted and shot what she felt would add character to the wedding....I MEAN I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A MORE AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER! Gail works with what you want and she wants to make you happy because she understands its your day. You will not even know she is there unless you want her to be. I believe she puts herself in the shoes of the bride, she remembers what it feels like to have all of the jitters and butterflies, and she is able to put you at ease with the camera. During my planning process (I booked Gail 1 yr and 1 month before the wedding) we not only shot engagment photographs, i booked her for my Bachelorette... and I had a Pin up / Budoir shoot as a present for the groom to be. I just saw my wedding photos today, and im not the least bit surprised that they are nothing short of exquisite. I’ve already booked another pin up shoot with her in time for Christmas. A bunch of my friends loved her soo much that they have booked pin up shoots with her also. I strongly urge you to check out Gail’s work. You won’t be dissapointed, well unless you want "boring, posed run of the mill photos". If you want kick ass nothing you have never seen before photographs… she’s your girl. Good luck brides!!!
