ess than a week Kim was taking our engagement photos. Regardless of the short time span and lack of customary meetings and getting to know you conversations, working with Kim has been such a great experience. Kim is very professional, BEYOND helpful and flexible in meeting our needs. No detail is overlooked by Kim! She has an uncanny ability to capture natural, precious moments as they happen, and never once forced a pose, a smile or a tilt of the head. Kim encouraged us to be us and do what we do, and I love her for not trying to produce a moment that never occurred. Kim used natural light to create another dimension in our photographs, taking them above and beyond an average portrait. Her sense of adventure and creative mind makes her fun to work with and guarantees breath taking pictures, that go beyond just photos to become true pieces of art.

My wedding was outdoors, in the middle of Lassen County where there is no electricity - other photographers we spoke to wouldn't touch a project with those lighting restrictions, but Kim was up for the challenge! The photos that came from the entire wedding (afternoon until dark) were beautiful! Once she had gone through the photos, she sent me a disc with over 1000 beautiful photos from which I put together my own album (cost savings = huge $). It has almost been two years since the wedding, and I have already began to make plans for Kim to photograph our newborn in a few weeks! I love her style, use of color, and the way she is able to capture every little detail. She is also a very cool person - kind, gentle, but know her stuff and is incredibly passionate about what she is doing. I highly recommend Kim James to any bride! She is located in Chester, CA but she comes to San Francisco, Sonoma, and Napa quite often for weddings - so don't hesitate to ask her if she'll come to you!
