Growing up in Florida, I was always fascinated by the parties my mother organized, big and small. Witnessing the transformation from simple ideas to incredible celebrations sparked my love for event planning. Eventually, I said goodbye to my banking job to chase my dream of becoming a full-time events planner, with a special focus on weddings.

It's impossible to express just how thankful my husband and I are for Kimberly. We could not have planned our dream beach wedding from out of state without her!! She was incredibly responsive and communicative, super organized and on top of everything, and a wealth of knowledge and experience. She will be the BEST and MOST WORTH IT decision of your entire wedding - can't recommend enough!!
Kimberly is amazing! She is everything you'd want in a wedding planner- organized, professional, knowledgeable, and fun! She helped us deal with a crazy day of Florida weather and pulled our reception inside without a hitch. I felt so much less stressed during the wedding planning process and day of knowing that she had all the details covered. 10/10 would recommend Kimberly!
First off, absolutely worth it! I wanted a wedding planner, specifically Kimberly the second I went through her Instagram. Kimberly had everything so organized, she had vendor suggestions where we needed/wanted them and she worked with the vendors we chose perfectly. If you are a bride that wants to stay on task, wants to be organized and doesn't know where to start? Kimberly is your fairy godsister. She will help you get your dream wedding, while being realistic about your budget. She keeps it real. Professional communication, she handled everything that I needed every time I needed it. She even broke up with a vendor for me (huge source of anxiety). We have truly become friends with her, everything on my wedding day went so smooth even the hiccups. My bridesmaids flowers were not appropriate and I mentioned it to her and 20 min later (right before the ceremony) there they were, exactly what I wanted and no drama. Throughout our year+ long process there were a million little details that I was happy to have help with. If you like timelines and organization then Kimberly is your pick! 10/10 recommend.
If you want to be able to fully enjoy your wedding day knowing that all vendors will be coordinated, timeline will be followed, and guests will have a blast, I highly recommend hiring Kimberly as your wedding planner. You can never truly understand how much goes into planning a wedding until you become a bride. Kimberly is a seasoned pro in the Tampa Bay wedding circuit - she has experience with every venue and vendor in the area, and has a great, professional reputation. Throughout the planning process I also appreciated Kimberly's honest advice and recommendations on all questions I threw her way. You can't go wrong with choosing Kimberly as your planner!
We cannot say enough about Kimberly! She was so attentive to every detail and our wedding turned out seamless. We are still so blown away by how perfect our day was. It truly feels impossible to put into words how amazing Kimberly is. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we have Kimberly to thank for that! From my first consultation call with her I knew she had to be my planner. Once you book Kimberly, she is seriously there for you every step of the way, from touring venues and selecting vendors to literally everything in-between. She can take whatever your vision is and make it reality, even if you are like me and have a hard time articulating what you want! She nailed our vision for our wedding, and we were blown away by how beautifully everything came together the day of.
Knowing I had Kimberly there leading up to and on the day of my wedding allowed me to relax and be fully present on my wedding day because I knew everything was being handled and I didn’t need to worry about a thing. Our guests are still raving about how amazing our wedding was; the unique venue we booked, the food, florals, etc. All the vendors we worked with were seriously the best!
I was an out-of-town and a covid postponement reschedule bride, and there is absolutely no way I would have been able to plan or deal with rescheduling my wedding without Kimberly. We engaged Kimberly for our daughter’s wedding, and could not be happier. She is amazing - no detail is too small, and the vendors that she recommended were astounding. Kimberly has the experience, and organizational skills to make an event go seamlessly (as well as handling inevitable issues). She is highly skilled at communicating, with everyone from the wedding party, guests, hotel and vendors. She was very respectful of the budget but also made recommendations that clearly enhanced the wedding décor, tablescapes, and experience overall. We hired Kimberly way back in 2019 as our wedding planner when we decided to get married in Florida. Our entire family lives up North, so we had no clue where to start when it came to venues and vendors. Originally we worked with Ashley before COVID, but after postponing a whole year, Kimberly took us under her wing. Kimberly is straight forward, fun, and truly cares about her bride and grooms vision coming to life. If it's possible to execute, she'll make it happen - explaining what to expect without the fluff, which I really appreciated. There can be so much drama and stress surrounding a wedding and she really helps you keep things in perspective and encourages you to make the wedding what you & your partner want it to be! Planning a huge event like this takes a lot of hard work and I knew I didn't have to worry about anything slipping through the cracks with her in charge. I still felt extremely involved with all of the decisions like I had wanted, but didn't have to think about what was coming next and could really just be in the moment with each part of the process - this made planning SO fun! If you're searching for a planner look no further - she won't disappoint and helped us create a stunning, magical, fairytale wedding people are still talking about today! I get teary eyed just looking at how everything came together perfectly!

My husband, Jacob, and I got engaged at the end of 2019 and hired Kimberly to plan our 2021 wedding. Kimberly not only planned every detail of our wedding perfectly, but she did it all during a global pandemic!!!
There are so many reasons I could recommend Kimberly to plan your wedding, but here are my top five:
#1- Kimberly was so flexible with our planning calls/meetings! My husband and I have such busy work schedules, so finding time to plan our wedding was sometimes challenging. Thankfully Kimberly was always down to chat after-work hours - which was SO helpful!
#2- Kimberly has all the best connections in the industry! She connected me with the best vendors and coordinated with them for all of the wedding day preparation and setup - which meant I was able to just have fun and enjoy the day! (Seriously I didn't have to worry about anything when I showed up to the venue - everything was set and ready for us to celebrate!
#3- Kimberly made my envisioned tropical, dreamy wedding come to life! This woman has an amazing eye for what would look good and create that extra "wow" factor.
#4- Kimberly is great at working with all kinds of people... which thankfully my family isn't difficult, but I imagine some are! She is just naturally likeable and all my family loved how organized our whole wedding day was - from photos, to reception, to the party! Everything was planned down to the minute & Kimberly did it all with a smile :)
#5- Last but not least... what I appreciated the most about Kimberly was that she was ALWAYS 2 steps ahead of me - so no matter what random question/idea I threw at her, she already thought of it! She has so much experience in the wedding industry - she knows all the do's and don'ts and is not afraid to be straight with you! And I should note - she was so on top of all the COVID stuff.. seriously she was making sure she knew any and all local rule changes and had a plan to deal with all of them!
So long story short - HIRE KIMBERLY! She's reliable, fun, experienced, sweet, TALENTED, and an all-around girl boss!!!!
Kimberly is amazing!! Our wedding was originally planned for the end of March 2020 and was postponed due to Covid. Through all the Covid craziness (which there was a TON of), Kimberly was so supportive and helpful and I would not have been able to do it without her! Kimberly is so organized, has great attention to detail, knows all the questions to ask, and will make sure your day is a dream come true! Our wedding was perfect, stress free and I owe that to Kimberly! If you do anything, book Kimberly!
Kimberly is the absolute best decision we made!!! My wedding was flawless and she was always there to put out a fire if she needed. we hired her because we were having trouble with the photographer and I wish I had just gotten her from the very start. if you are a bride unsure if you should invest in a planner...do it. and make sure uts Kimberly cause she will take care of you from start to finish.
Kimberly is quite possibly the sole reason I was actually able to get a wedding a together. I started planning and one hour in I was overwhelmed. I was lucky to find her and she truly made my day everything I didn't even know I wanted. I didn't have a strict vision but she was able to use my ideas and create the most perfect day to celebrate. I would recommend her a thousand times over. she is organized, professional and will make sure the day is perfect and you as the bride are stress free!
SUPERLATIVE. That is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Kimberly. She helped plan and design the most beautiful wedding I could ever imagine. There was not a day where I felt stressed or overwhelmed. I felt that I had someone with me who cared about my wedding just as much as me. Kimberly is a wedding guru who never stops working to make your dreams come true.
Kimberly is well respected by the local vendors, and knows how to pick the right team for your event. Everything she does is highly individualized to your tastes. You will not feel like you got a cookie cutter wedding.
My favorite thing about Kimberly is how I never had to worry about anything. She’s the type of person who doesn’t take any bs, which is exactly what you need when you’re spending so much! She makes sure you get the most out of what you’re spending, no matter your budget.
I could not imagine my wedding day without Kimberly. It lived up to all my expectations and then some thanks to her hard work. You will not regret booking her for your wedding.
Kimberly is QUEEN. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I started this process, but she made everything absolutely seamless. She attended every vendor meeting and was always there early and ready. My husband and I work very busy schedules, so we didn't have time to research vendors either. She would give us 3-5 options for every one and it was like she could read our minds. Book her TODAY.
First, no review would do Kimberly justice as far as how amazing our wedding ultimately came together. She was on top of details/timing and provided excellent feedback based on her experience and relationships with all of the key vendors we used. In the months leading up to the event we had clear communication and plans for how everything was going to come together and when… as the big day drew closer each of those details were pulled together by Kimberly and to say our wedding went smoothly would be an understatement (and we got married in the period of COVID). I did not have a worry in the world… beyond remembering my speech and dance moves… and that is exactly what you need in a wedding planner. I honestly could not imagine doing it without Kimberly and despite this being my first marriage I think it came together pretty nicely. I would emphatically recommend working with Kim for anyone getting married in the Tampa/St. Pete area.
Stop your search for the best wedding planner ever because you've officially found it in Kimberly Hensley! SERIOUSLY. I was never the type of girl that dreamed about her wedding day, basically had no idea what I wanted, and didn't really care about any of the details... I was just excited to marry my husband. Kimberly was a rockstar from start to finish and made the whole process fun and easy. Not only does she have the best personality ever (funny, straight-shooter, organized, and professional) but she makes the entire wedding planning process very easy and nearly stress free. She recommends the best vendors (within your budget) and offers her professional advice on what's going to work/what isn't going to work and will work her magic to make your special day just the way you want it to be. We hired Kimberly for our out of state wedding and we truly couldn't have done it without her. You'd be crazy to try to do this on your own! I can't stress this enough! My husband and I work crazy hours and I travel a ton, so planning an out of state wedding without help would've been a huge mistake. She freakin' knows what she's doing, she's seen it ALL, and she's never going to steer you wrong. She is worth every penny and more... and our wedding day was truly perfect, all thanks to her. We say it all the time... we couldn't have done it without her. There's just no way. HIRE KIMBERLY NOW! You will not regret it.
Wow. How to give Kimberly all the praise she deserves in only 3500 characters?! Kimberly was a BLESSING and the BEST decision we made in our year and a half wedding planning process. Not only did she help us with every single step of the planning process, but she also became an amazing neighbor (yes, during the planning process, we bought a house exactly 6 houses down because we love her that much) and friend.
Kimberly was essential during every step of our wedding planning, from budgeting to venue searching, to details. Her taste and mine were so perfectly aligned, it was like she was hearing my thoughts before I voiced them, with her even proposing the very same details I had hearted on Etsy. She waited patiently while I went back and forth between venue selections, laughing when I finally came to the decision she knew I would make all along.
But where Kimberly really came in clutch was the month, no DAYS, leading up to the wedding. I had not one, but two major issues. The Monday before my wedding, my DJ realized he double booked my wedding date and could not make our wedding. Before I was even told, Kimberly had already spoken with the DJ and they had found a replacement, with my full deposit being refunded. On top of that, one month before my wedding, my bridesmaid dresses came in (on Christmas Eve no less) and were a DISASTER. I tried to be original and have custom dresses made- they came with jagged hemlines and safety-pinned wristbands. I'm not exaggerating. Kimberly kept her calm (and mine) and was nothing but positive (and promised to use my misfortune as a lesson for future brides). It all worked out and the girls ended up in stunning black dresses less than a month later.
The week of the wedding, Kimberly had Caelin and I over to her home to go over final details and take my massive box of details for the day of. She is SO detail-oriented, even my extreme type-A personality felt comfortable turning everything over, knowing my day was in good hands. Kimberly handled everything that came up last minute with ease. The flu hit a number few of our guests- Kimberly made sure their meals were wrapped up for us (since it was past the time to get money back) so we had delicious leftovers the next day.
During the wedding, Kimberly was there any time I turned around- whether she was replacing my husband's boutonniere that somehow died right before the ceremony, reminding me of the timeline while I ambitiously tried to talk to every guest, taking snapchats so I could relive the evening the next morning, or handling last minute snags (like my bustle breaking during the first open dance).
I know this was long-winded, but I hope this review can help other brides make the best decision in hiring Kimberly and starting their wedding planning off on the right foot. I simply cannot imagine planning my wedding without Kimberly- and I was the bride who initially though, "Eh, I don't really need a wedding planner, just a day-of planner. I love event planning." How wrong I was! I now understand how stressful planning a wedding (and trying to please everyone) is and how important it is to have an objective planner like Kimberly to listen to you vent, offer much needed perspective and advice, and help with the details you really don't want to deal with, like tracking the budget or finding the ever elusive charger of your Pinterest dreams.

Truly, our fairy Godmother! Not only was Kim our planner for the most perfect wedding I could have ever dreamed of, she was also our accountant to help us budget (Big thing for us!!), our therapist when we got overwhelmed, and most of all, our friend that we could just simply talk to. We decided to go with Kim when we first got engaged because I felt so lost and overwhelmed with the idea of having a larger wedding. The moment we spoke to her, we knew she was our girl. She's a bad ass boss lady who I knew would guide me through the entire planning process. She is organized beyond anything I ever imagined. Every question I thought of, she was three steps ahead of me and knew exactly what I needed. This woman is also so respected in the industry. I cant tell you how many times I would speak to vendors and tell them I had Kim as our planner and every single one would say "I love Kim. You're in great hands."
The day of our wedding everyone kept telling me "You're so calm." I knew it was because Kim and I had gone through every little detail over and over to make sure everything would run smoothly. And it did. Our wedding was an absolute dream thanks to Kim. She is a Perfectionist with a capital P and works so unbelievably hard to make sure everything is perfect. After our wedding we had so many guest come up to us and tell us our wedding was the most fun they had had at a wedding. Maybe I'm biased, but I thought so too! Kim knows how to plan a PARTY!!

First of all, if you are looking for a reliable, amazing, real, and trustworthy planner for your big day, STOP LOOKING RIGHT NOW AND HIRE KIMBERLY HENSLEY EVENTS.
Let me start by saying I was completely burned by a less than reputable "wedding planner" prior to hiring Kimberly and her team. Money was stolen from me, I was lied to and ended up having to go to court over it all to get my money back (all during planning my wedding... super stressful.) So needless to say, I was extremely skeptical about other wedding planners and who to hire after all that mess.
I got a good vibe from Kimberly instantly and she showed genuine compassion for what I was going through and was very much so honest and to the point with our first conversation. She stayed that way throughout the process.
Ashley, who was my actual wedding day planner was just AMAZING in so many ways. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding day planner. She was so real and COOL to be around and deal with. Kimberly and Ashley both were SUPER patient with me when I had my moments of panic or overreaction during the planning process and were SUPER helpful with advice regarding decisions I was having trouble making myself. I just absolutely loved these two and was sooo grateful to have found them. There is a reason they have been voted best planners over and over again.
On wedding day, Ashley was like having a bestie by my side having my back through everything. Through all the minor issues and annoyances, she was so fiercely supportive and amazing. There were a few issues that took place throughout the night that were handled by her without me ever even knowing until afterward, which in my opinion was very professional and absolutely how it should be.
All in all, this team is exactly what I needed for the best day of my life. I will recommend them a thousand times over until I'm blue in the face.

My husband and I got married on 12.07.19. We decided to choose Kimberly and her team for wedding planning. I worked with Britney Crespo from Jan 2019 to December 2019 and she was great ! I like to have things planned out and I did not want to tackle my wedding day all by myself. Of course, family offered to help however I wanted us all to enjoy the process and that day without a worry :) Kimberly and Brittney did not disappoint and did just that ! They were both so quick to respond and Brittney literally answered every single little question the whole year.
Brittney eased my worries throughout the whole process and with her guidance and expertise, asked me questions to think about that I did not even consider to help make my day special. She also helped me so much with the decor . I had an idea of what I wanted for an elegant beach wedding but she was was the one that put my inspiration to life. I am also so thankful for Brittney as my venue switched venue coordinators (three different ones throughout the year and one two weeks before the big day). I felt more comfortable with Brittney as she helped ensure all the details were passed over and reviewed it with the venue.
Our wedding day was absolutely beyond perfect as the day was even better than I could have imagined ! I've been told by others not to expect perfection on my wedding day as things may go wrong that are out of my control. I have to say, my day went without a glitch and I have Kimberly and Brittney to thank for that ! The money towards wedding planning was so worth it and is really priceless. Thank you Kimberly and Brittney!
If you're getting married in the Tampa/St. Pete area, stop reading this now and HIRE KIMBERLY. I'm very type-A, already had a venue, and had an overall vision for our wedding, so I wasn't sure if I needed a full scale planner. However, we were planning our wedding from across the country, so we made the decision to invest in a planner. Trust me ladies/gents, no matter how organized you think you are, how much you think you know about your wedding "vision," or what your budget looks like, you NEED Kimberly. She is an incredible person, she KNOWS her stuff (from venues, to vendors, to decor), she'll keep you on track and on task, and she'll never make you feel pressured to go in a direction that's not true to you. She has awesome relationships with just about every vendor (caterer, photog, band, etc. etc) in the Tampa area, and will match you with the perfect people for your wedding. Day-of, she works tirelessly to make sure that the day is perfect ... from ironing out little details to making sure the day's events stick to the timeline. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and that is 100% thanks to Kimberly. She was the best decision we made. Seriously ... make room in your budget for a planner and get in touch with Kimberly immediately!!!
We hired Brittney and Kimberly to help us plan our May 2019 destination wedding at the Dali Museum in St. Pete. They were an incredible team and the best money we spent on the wedding.
My husband and I were very busy with work during the planning process. Aware of this, Brittney and Kimberly worked hard to figure out what we wanted, and they went above and beyond to make it happen. They provided services and advice we didn't even know we would need, including:
-creating a list of hand-picked vendors
-planning for everything including a list of back up vendors, a rain plan, and how to deal with awkward family
-helping us with a decor plan and color scheme
-making a detailed time table and ensuring that everything flowed well
They are two incredibly gifted women who provide fantastic personalized service. Thanks to Kimberly Hensley Events and our planner Brittney Crespo, we had the perfect wedding.
If I could give Kimberly 10 stars on the site, I definitely would!!!!! I can't imagine planning our wedding without the expertise of Kimberly. You can't put a price on having someone in your corner when working with other vendors and trust me, Kimberly is the person you want to have! I had a situation arise about a month before our wedding with hair/makeup, and what could have been an extremely stressful disaster, she fixed in less then a day and I ended up having the best hair and makeup crew imaginable for my wedding. We underestimated the amount of scotch drinkers we would have and when the bar ran out, she sent her assistant to the liquor store mid party to buy some more. That is the kind of wedding planner that goes above and beyond for her bride and groom!!!! She is a GREAT listener, extremely organized and has so much patience!! Our wedding day was so stress free and if there were any hiccups, we had no idea because she is on it!!!! I promise you will NEVER regret hiring Kimberly Hensley Events!
I cannot even BEGIN to describe how amazing Kimberly is and how much she was the best decision I made in wedding planning. Let me first start off by saying that I was not the easiest bride to work with, I was extremely picky, struggled to trust people and had trouble articulating what I wanted. Kimberly embraced all of this and kept me 100% involved in absolutely every decision and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and how we could create a memorable completely unique wedding to me. She helped me select the most amazing vendors who truly showed up big time- I had NO idea how important selecting the best vendors were until a few days before my wedding when at our welcome party for example our singer cancelled. I had so many small details I wanted incorporated and Kimberly set them all up even better that I imagined. There is literally a video of me crying when I saw the reception space for the first time that sums up how I feel about Kimberly. She will do anything for you as her bride. At one point during my reception I asked her if she had an extra hair tie and without a thought she immediately ripped the one out of her hair-- thats just who she is. I will never get over her and her complete dedication to executing events flawlessly and making her brides happy. BOOK HER NOW.
It’s been so hard to write a review for Kim...to even find the right words to truly express how absolutely incredible she is (both at her job and as a person). If you don’t want to read a lengthy review, I’ll sum it up here first - IF YOU’RE EVEN THINKING OF HIRING A PLANNER, CALL KIMBERLY AND BOOK HER NOW. It will hands down be the best decision you make for your entire wedding. Originally we weren’t going to hire a planner, I thought “I got this”.....after 1 month of planning and realizing what actually goes into pulling off a wedding I very quickly admitted that I definitely couldn’t do this alone. As soon as I talked with Kim during our consultation, I had no doubt that she was our girl. For a year a half, Kim made our wedding planning process an absolute dream with zero stress. She brought the BEST vendors to the table and helped our vision of our perfect day come to life. Now let me tell you about the day of - my wedding day was BY FAR the most fun stress free day of my life. Everything we had been planning for a year and a half had finally come to life and was even better than expected. The party of a lifetime. All Thanks to Kim. My husband and I had an absolute blast from the morning we woke up and seriously didn’t worry about one thing because Kim with her boss-self and clipboard made sure every little thing went perfectly. Even when I had a small snag in my dress thanks to my dog, somehow Kim was there within a minute with scissors to fix it.... she’s that good. She’s honest, realistic, hilarious, and just hands down the best wedding planner you’ll find. I would do it all over again a million times and hire Kim every time. I interviewed a few local wedding planners and when Kimberly and I spoke on the phone I could tell she was different. She took the time to get to know me as a bride and to hear my now husband and I’s wedding day vision. Kimberly is HONEST, kind, fun and so many other wonderful things I could go on forever. I knew after the first phone call Kimberly was the wedding planner for us. After our first in person meeting my parents and husband were on board and everyone immediately loved Kimberly. Kimberly was there every step of the way and made the communication process with our vendors easy. She was there when I needed her to help me deal with a complicated family situation. She always gave me advice and guidance on how to handle complicated situations and more importantly when I needed to vent. The wedding was PERFECT and I know 99.9% of this was because of Kimberly. I was so calm on our wedding day because I knew Kimberly and Ashley had it under control so there was nothing for me or the groom to worry about. If you're debating getting a wedding planner, or are looking for one, STOP. YOU HAVE FOUND HER. Kimberly is without a doubt the best money we could've spent on our wedding. We were initially living out of state, and 3 weeks before the wedding we moved, opened a business and had the wedding. Was there stress in our life? Absolutely. Was ANY of it about our wedding? No.
Kimberly knew that our jobs required us to be away from our phones and computers, she knew that we worked long hours and she knew the general "feel" we were going for. That being said, she would give us X options for each choice in the wedding. We would pick, and move on. I would always ask what she thought and she always gave me an HONEST answer. I had NO IDEA what our space was going to look like the day of the wedding... Kimberly made it even better than I could've ever imagined. It truly was the most perfect day ever.
Kimberly is easy to work with, knows event spaces and vendors THAT WILL WORK BEST WITH YOU (everyones personalities are different, your wedding isn't the time to have a conflict), gives input without being pushy and most of all, she's honest. Being new to the Tampa area there was a lot I wasn't sure about and she helped with everything.I felt like I was working with a friend, not a wedding planner.
Being from Pittsburgh, we had a cookie table at the wedding. Kimberly was warm and welcoming to everyone that brought her treats (she's a smart lady), we had friends who brought their photo booth and she had no problem emailing them and helping them set up. Even our officiant wanted to contact her, and again, she spoke with him. Maybe this is part of the job, but every family member and friend that spoke with/met Kimberly had nothing but the best things to say.
Do yourself a favor, book her and never look back. It truly will be the BEST DECISION you make for your special day.
So… let me start by saying this review is completely unsolicited. Kimberly never asked me to write a review of any kind and I doubt that she has ever asked anyone else to either. I originally wrote a review that listed 100 reasons I give Kimberly Hensley Events 5 stars, and therefore 100 reasons I’d hire her again if I could…BUT…that’s too much for this post, so I’ll highlight my favorite reasons here: I’ll cut to the chase with reason 100: even with our modest budget and unrealistic expectations, we walked away from our wedding knowing that it was as close to perfection has humanly possible! It. Literally. Was. Perfection! No matter what you want, whether that be laid back or off-the-charts, she will help you make you make it all happen with sunny enthusiasm. We were a really unique couple that asked for the impossible (like live birds at our cocktail hour and a completely unusual outdoor-style set up in our indoor reception), and she made all the visions materialize! She really got us. Other planners I considered just seemed to nail the same style over and over again versus immerse themselves in their couple’s wildest intentions like KHE was able to do. It’s next-level skills! Other reasons I could list include how her experience and connections helped us gather THE dream team of vendors for our wedding. She made getting the best vendors for our needs and desires easy. So many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and affirmed that our vendors were so superior to the vendors they had ever experienced at their wedding or others'. On the day of my wedding, I was able to enjoy the day, being present with my friends and family because I knew Kimberly and Ashley had all the ridiculously long lists of details under control! What a relief. Seriously, that one gift of trust and presence was worth the entire planning fee alone in my opinion! A handful more reasons included how as a bride, your self-esteem and sense-of-self will get a boost right when you need it most because Kimberly is so good at deeply listening and seeing a person for their strengths. She’ll make you feel like a million bucks and it’s genuine. She’s really just that compassionate and aware. I felt like my best self on my wedding day and looking back at how stressful it could’ve been, I easily could’ve felt like the worst version of myself! I owe that to her. Also, if you work or have a life at all outside of wedding planning, you’ll need her help. I’ve planned my friends’ weddings and even plan events for my job, so I never thought I’d need or want a wedding planner. I lost track of the number of times I said something like “how in the hell did I ever think I could do this on my own??, I’m SO glad I have Kimberly! This wedding would’ve never happened without her.” She truly became a best friend through the planning process and I reeeally miss working with her now that our version of a fairytale has come true. For all these reasons and so many more I couldn’t fit here, we will always be infinitely grateful to KHE and hold a special place in our hearts for Kimberly!
I’ve been trying to find the words to express how lucky and grateful we were to come across KHE...and I’ve figured out that Kimberly is simply the best, hands down. She is so organized and fun to work with. Kimberly selected the best vendors for our special day and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we had the perfect day. Kimberly is by far the definition of a boss lady. When my husband and I decided we needed a wedding planner, we figured we would shop around for one and the process would take a while. Kimberly was the first wedding planner we met and I KNEW she would plan our wedding from the moment we met her. My husband is super picky and as soon as we got in the car he says “okay she’s hired”. From the moment we met her, she had been amazing. Not only is she organized and timely, she is super cool, genuine and so easy going. She helped met ALL of our expectations for throwing a wedding and made the process so stress free for both myself and my husband. Kimberly was always available even when you texted or called her. She made us feel like we were her priority (when we all know she’s planning 15 + other cool weddings at the same time). Also, I was the type of bride that really didn’t care about certain things, so I basically let Kimberly take the wedding planning her to hands and just ask us for opinions. Because of this it was a continuous joke when my family would ask me questions about the wedding ... “i don’t know ask Kimberly the wedding planner”. But seriously that goes to show how stress free I was during this process and that was the whole point of hiring a wedding planner in the beginning.
The day of our wedding we had to make some last minute decisions due to weather however she guided us through it making it such an easy switch for tents. She reassured me “girl your going to have a fun party don’t worry” and I did not one bit. It ended up not raining but hey we had the back up plan just in case. She even kept the party transitions to the strict timeline with speech’s dances etc that was all super impressive.
Kimberly helped us throw a party of the year that everyone keeps talking about. There are not enough words to describe how amazing she is at her job. I will 150 % recommend her to anyone who wants to plan a wedding. My sister has already told me that when she’s getting married Kimberly’s hired. She is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!
The two best decisions I made on my wedding day were 1) marry my husband and 2) use Kimberly as my wedding planner! When I first decided to have a wedding, I knew I would need to get a wedding planner ASAP. As much as I love going to weddings, the thought of planning my own filled me with so much anxiety. I reached out to a few planners, and knew pretty much immediately that Kim was the one for me! Not only was she local St. Pete (something my husband and I liked very much), she had the perfect personality to keep me engaged in what I knew was going to be a long, stressful 16 months. Kimberly is FUN to be around, full of energy, and hilarious. She keeps it REAL in the best way possible. She is cool, and I trusted that she was going to make me feel cool on my wedding day. Planning the wedding was simple! I told her what was important to me and she delivered. Kimberly embraces and plans all different styles of weddings. I wanted mine to be laid back and to really de-emphasize a lot of the typical traditions. She never questioned some of my more "controversial" decisions (no speeches, nontraditional bridal party, etc.), which gave me so much confidence when I was facing a ton of opinions from others around me. One of the most important things to me in a planner is someone who is knowledgeable about local vendors so that way I could get the best without having to do much research on my own. Kim literally put together the BEST team of vendors for our wedding. I can't tell you how many people have told us they wish they had known about our band, or want to know how to get in contact with our cake lady, or even wanted to book our photographer! I'm the type of person who trusts professional opinion, so when I asked for Kim's advice, I took it and the results were 10/10. Kimberly's presence really eased a lot of the family tension that comes with weddings as well. Whenever my Mom and I disagreed, we agreed on one thing: "let's ask Kim and she what she thinks." Every meeting with Kim was fun, stress free, and left me more and more excited about the wedding day. When my pre-wedding anxiety kicked in about 7-10 days before the wedding, one phone call with Kim really helped to put things into perspective and ease me though a pretty stressful time. The day of the wedding I interacted with Kim very little, which in my mind is a WIN. I was confident things were in control! I wasn't worried about decor, scheduling, or whatever else people who don't have Kim worry about. Kim is, hands down, 5 stars, would use again (except hopefully I won't have to)! If you're planning a wedding locally, do yourself a favor and book Kim! It will be one of the best decisions you make.
They say that the universe brings you exactly what you need, just when you need it and that's what it felt like when I first connected with Kimberly. After finding her information through a venue my fiancé and I were considering, I made the initial phone call just looking for some basic information and knew immediately that she had to be our wedding planner!
As a busy professional and a bride who had absolutely no idea what I wanted or what putting together a wedding would entail, Kimberly was an amazing partner for me and my fiancé. Her planning process is simple to complete, yet provided us the opportunity to develop a unique event that completely reflected our relationship and celebrated the life we are creating together. Thanks to Kimberly's suggestion we found an amazing venue that we would never have considered. She listened to everything that was important to us and matched us perfectly with every vendor along the way. She was accommodating to my busy schedule and found ways to keep us on track to our timeline and our budget without seeming overbearing.
Kimberly did such a great job of getting to know us and helping us identify what we wanted for the event that every decision we made through the process seemed so easy - from catering to flowers - her eye for detail was spot on and brought things to life I never could have imagined.
Leading up to the wedding she gave me great advice on how to handle everything and made sure that I had nothing to worry about during the event except enjoying every moment. On the day of the rehearsal Kim made sure all of our wedding party and families were clear on how the ceremony should flow and we were able to have a wonderful time at our rehearsal dinner with no stress!
When the wedding day came she coordinated a complete transformation of the venue, managing all of the vendors, rentals, caterers, lighting, etc. We turned a beautiful beach house into a glittering magical dream wedding complete with Tiffany Blue and silver accents, a bacon bar, live musician, and a party that our family and friends will be talking about for years. We had many guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever attended!
WOW. How and where do I even start? Kimberly was absolutely AMAZING, and incredible to work with. I wish I could give her 10 stars. Kim becomes your lifeline during the wedding planning process. She is beyond knowledgeable in the industry, and her skill set is notably superior in comparison to other planners and services. Your planner makes ALL the difference. Kim is WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. During the process, I thought many times to myself that there was NO way I could be doing this without her. After our day was pulled off, I WOULD HAVE PAID DOUBLE FOR HER. Kim does not let any single detail go unfinished or untouched. She thinks of everything, she thinks of things you wouldn't even know to think of. This is how detail-oriented she is, and how much care and pride she really puts into her work as well as your special day. She really treats you as if you are her ONLY client. She treats your wedding day, as if it were her own. She is creative, innovative, and truly has an eye for design. Kim is super organized. She walks you through this intimidating process and makes it easy and fun. Kim worked so hard for me, and she will work so hard for you. Kim knows what she's doing. You can tell by the minute you talk to her and start working with her. She is an absolute professional in her field, and while she is extremely professional, she at the same time has such a fun personality, that you really enjoy being around her through this process and working on things together. She makes you want to become her friend, and she basically does during this process. Kim has an assertive personality, which gives you so much comfort knowing she's going to get it done, and not allow for any mistakes. She also helped me tremendously with the design aspect, the overall look and theme of my wedding, and again, every last detail was thought of, finished, and so beautiful. Here again, she proves to you how much care and integrity she puts into her work. She won't allow one thing to go missed. She pulled my entire look together. We received SO many compliments from family and friends to give Kim kudos. I become overwhelmed by options and decisions, and Kim made this so easy for me, and truly guided me. The actual wedding day, Kim is there to take care of EVERYTHING. Let me tell you, when you wake up that day, you are SO happy and relieved knowing that she's going to be there making sure everything runs smoothly and that every vendor is where they need to be. Having Kim allowed me to just ENJOY my day, and not worry about anything. I knew everything was taken care of and I could enjoy the time and the moment. Our wedding day was PERFECT. Everything was perfect. The day ran so smoothly, perfectly, without a hitch! Not one single thing went wrong. The set up was beyond beautiful. I attribute that FULLY to being because I had Kim. Kim, you are absolutely amazing, I cannot thank you enough for everything you did. I could not have done this without you, or pulled the amazing and beautiful wedding that we did, without you. It was such a pleasure to work with you. I cannot recommend her ENOUGH. She is the BEST OF THE BEST. Kim is a top notch planner, she is the best in her industry. I stand behind that statement on all accounts. If you are looking for the BEST planner you could possibly hire for your planning and wedding day, hire her. Hands down. She is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, there are not enough words to describe how amazing Kimberly is. From our very first phone conversation to our fun texts after the wedding, Kimberly has been an absolute dream. About 5 minutes into our first phone conversation, I knew she was the planner for me, she was/is organized, easy to talk to you, and just perfect. Before Kimberly the thought of planning a wedding in Florida from NYC seemed like the most daunting and stressful thing ever, but she made the entire wedding planning process, dare I say it…fun! Kimberly makes you a personalized wedding timeline that lays everything that needs to be done in a not overwhelming way and makes every wedding task tangible. From her spreadsheets, documents, and pinterest boards, everything is seamless and nothing slips through the cracks. Kimberly was amazing!! I can’t imagine us trying to accomplish what she did on our own! She was so organized throughout the planning process, and even put up with my middle of the night frantic text messages 😄 We had a beach wedding this past May, and can honestly say the entire planning process and day of was completely stress free and FUN because of Kimberly!
Imagine waking up on your wedding day with the news that your DJ had an accident last night and is currently in surgery. Forget taking cute pics with your bridal party and forget hair and makeup... it's time to look for a new DJ! Does the venue have an aux cord?!
This would've been our exact scenario on our wedding day if it weren't for Kimberly. This Wonder Woman woke up to that news instead of us.. she came to my hotel room to check on me and went and checked on the groom. She informed us of this disaster after our entire day went perfectly as planned and we were about to enter the reception venue. In the meantime, she found another DJ, filled him in on our music and entrances (she saved every single email in our file), decorated our venue, florals and food on point and the ceremony was a dreeeeam. "Don't freak out but this is what happened..".
We didn't even flinch. We knew she had it all under control and she took care of it.
That feeling right there is something you can't put a price on. Kimberly, The Magician, was 100% the best investment of our entire wedding.

When picking your wedding planner.. do NOT look for a soft-spoken, sweet, gentle shoulder to cry on when you're stressed throughout the process. Her job isn't to tell you you look stunning in your dress. That's what your mom and bridesmaids are for. Pick the one who will shop around for the best thing according to your style and will go to bat for you when it's time to ask all the vendors hard questions and demanding the impossible things. Pick someone who will start using ALL CAPS when you're slacking on your timeline of things she asked you to do this month. Someone who will make you feel confident that things are going according to plan. We always knew we were on time for every task and that's something I felt like none of our close friends (even those with planners) ever truly felt throughout their wedding planning process. I truly can say that with Kimberly’s help she made my wedding day all I had hoped it would be. I'm not sure where to even begin this review because nothing I can write will even come close to explaining how much Kimberly did for our wedding, how much we loved everything she did, and how thankful we are for her. If you're reading this, you're probably looking for a wedding planner, as was I in Feb. 2017. After speaking to a handful, I spoke to Kimberly and my decision was easily made. She was kind, friendly, confident, and understanding of the fact that at the time my fiance and I were in the middle of 6 months living 1,000 miles apart and that I was in the middle of a graduate program. Kimberly and I spent 14 months planning my wedding. Each month we received a checklist of what would be done that month and if my travel or school schedule required us to move things up or push things back, we did! Kimberly provided us with several vendors in each category and was open to our suggestions from vendors we've heard good things about as well. She worked her magic and absolutely stayed within our budget which was very important to us. She understood and constantly kept in mind what was important to me and what was less important. She gave us the independence to make our own decisions but was 1000% available for every question and to talk us through some of the harder choices to make. Her experience in the area and in the industry is unmatched. The vendors she provided us with and the decor she crafted for the day of was 100% on point. All of our guests had a blast, ate well, and complimented us on the flowers. Most importantly, Kimberly made wedding planning a positive, enjoyable experience. I have had so many friends who look back on their wedding planning as a terrible and stressful experience and I am so glad my experience was different - all thanks to Kim.
As one can clearly see from ALL of her reviews, Kimberly Hensley is truly a master of her art. She has an amazing ability of making you feel like you are the only bride she is working with- even though you know she is working diligently with many others. I don't know where to begin... Kimberly provided VIP wedding services to us from start to finish! I literally had a phone chat with her to hear about her services and from that phone call on I haven't looked back. I honestly don’t know how to begin to thank Kimberly for planning our wedding! Living in Maryland and having our wedding in Florida seemed like an impossible feat before talking to Kimberly. For an entire year, she was in contact with us by phone, email, text and even Skype! She is so personable, enthusiastic and truly an expert in her field. Throughout the entire process, Kimberly kept our minds at ease - from finding our perfect venue, to assisting my husband with selecting his suit, to fully understanding my dream to have a “cocktail style” reception, (which even my husband was wary about, at first!) to ensuring every last detail on our wedding day and even putting away all of our DIY decorations in our suite at the end of the night.
We also appreciated her genuine honesty. She truly listened and worked with all of our ideas - no matter how far fetched they may have seemed. Even though we had our own ideas about how we wanted our wedding to look, we truly valued her opinions, such as what lighting would look the best in a tent or if the color pallet for my bridesmaids’ dresses would complement the groomsmens’ suits. Kimberly’s opinion was the first person whose opinion I sought on that matter and her assurance that wood bow ties would look stunning, was ‘ dead-on’. I know it sounds so cheesy, but literally all of my hopes and dreams of how I envisioned my wedding came true!
As for our budget Kimberly stuck to it and made sure to give us options within it. She kept our shared budget google document up to date so that there were no surprises when it came time to make payments. Her schedules made the process manageable. My husband and I never felt overwhelmed by any of numerous large and smal, details that go into planning a wedding because Kimberly took the time to organize every detail for us. Every month, she would send us a check-list of what we should expect to accomplish and what to look forward to in the coming months.
To say that Kimberly was ‘fantastic’ would be an understatement. “Thank you Kimberly for all of your effort and expertise!”

When talking with Kimberly, she was easily able to capture our design aesthetic and made it possible within our budget. The day of our outdoor wedding came with pouring rain, but thanks to Kimberly and her expertise, our day was just amazing as envisioned. She went above and beyond to make arrangements and work around the weather. Kimberly truly helped make our dream wedding come true!
I'm not even quite sure where to start this review as Kimberly was just so perfect throughout the entire process. My husband and I were going to try to do all the planning ourselves because we were paying for the wedding on our own and did not think spending money on a planner was important. We were living in Alaska at the time and planning a wedding in Sarasota - we realized quickly we needed help and working with Kimberly was the best decision we made throughout the entirety of the planning process.
My first phone conversation showed me Kimberly was a complete professional and that she absolutely loves what she does. We had already booked a few things on our own and she totally rolled with it no problem. We really had to stick to our budget and Kimberly was able to find the best vendors in the area that would be able to work within it. The best part was none of those vendors made us feel like we were compromising anything to stay in our budget - she works with the best in the industry and each vendor will make you feel like the most important client they have. Kimberly has an amazing relationship with her preferred vendors that you certainly get perks you likely would not get with many other planners. In the end we actually came in slightly under budget (more money for our honeymoon!), but still created the most amazing day we could have ever imagined.
Specifically in regards to the planning process, Kimberly set up a super detailed timeline prior to our big day on all the different tasks we needed to accomplish systematically. This allowed us to really to have time making all of our decisions while truly enjoying the process. I am prone to getting anxious/stressed when making lots of decisions and I never once had a freak out moment. I owe that 100% to Kimberly's unparalleled skills and caring demeanor. She keeps you on top of your stuff, but never forgets its supposed to be fun too.
We decided to throw her a curve ball and road trip from Alaska to Florida for the month before our wedding - this is her normal time to get all the final details wrapped up. If she was flustered with us she never showed it - instead we rocked everything out before we left and the weeks before the wedding we literally had nothing to do. She had us covered and we were able to just enjoy our drive down. We had so many people asking us if we were nervous/freaking out and I proudly was able to say no because I had the best planner ever.
Needless to say, when we arrived in Florida the whole experience was perfect. She ran a streamlined rehearsal for us and the day of the wedding went off without a hitch (or at least as far as I know because she would never tell me if it did not!). Like I said before, working with Kimberly was by far the best decision we could have ever made and I owe her so much for making our day the most incredible day we've ever day. I could not recommend working with Kimberly Hensley Events more - if you hire her I can guarantee you will work with an outstanding individual who care deeply for her clients and will plan the most amazing event you can imagine. Where to start as there are so many amazing things to say about her. Well, I had interviewed two different people to be my wedding planner for the wedding. From the very beginning of our "interview", which felt more like a conversation with an old friend I knew she was going to be the person to help me plan my dream wedding. She helped me throughout the way to stay focused and organized (even though she will tell you that I did that all on my own :P) She only offered the best vendors for us to choose from and made the process seamless. She made sure that everything I wanted was done, without going over budget. The vision I had for my wedding was blown out of the water with what she helped create with our other vendors. It was beautiful and fun, if I could get married every weekend I would choose her each time to help me plan it! She truly is a special person and you can see she loves what she does with every ounce of her soul. Even though there were a few hiccups, ie weather and someone being late she handled it with grace and was always up front with me. She helped make the ceremony beautiful and also helped to calm me down prior to walking down the aisle. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, we were able to have the best ceremony outside. I would recommend her to every single person that needs a wedding planner, she truly is the best.

Kim is so amazing I don’t even know where to start. From the moment I talked to her I knew she was the one. I didn’t have to talk to anyone else. She listens to you and delivers above and beyond your expectations. She’s so hands down and organized during the entire process, I pretty much didn’t have to do anything besides choose from the amazing options she would give me and attend some super fun meetings. Everyone in the industry knows Kim and loves Kim. So you’ll always be extremely confident with every vendor you’re using and know for sure they’ll be giving you their best. She always calls/texts and makes sure you’re stress free and that everything is alright. I’m an extremely stressed person and I couldn’t have done it without her. Even my friends couldn’t believe how relaxed I was! Whenever I did get stressed Kim was there to calm me down in seconds. She’s a mix in between wonder woman and a fairy godmother. She truly works miracles. I had to change venues less than 3 months before the wedding and even this went seamless! I was able to have the wedding of my dreams at an even more amazing venue. Besides being the best planner in the entire world (I really believe this), she’s also incredibly fun and an amazing person. You’ll want to hang out with her all the time, she’s for sure become a friend. I truly tell everyone that this is the best money spent for the wedding. My wedding was the most amazing and beautiful day of my life. Everything was perfect and just the way I envisioned it. All my guests were impressed and had a blast. I wish Kim could’ve also been my guest because I truly love her. If you’re getting married and are looking for the best wedding planner don’t hesitate and don’t look anywhere else. She’s your girl for sure!!! You won’t regret, I promise. LOVE YOU GIRL!!!!
