She worked non-stop from the moment she arrived EARLY to taking night pictures AFTER the reception was over. n The Knot and was excited because I recognized her from high school. I immediately contacted her and she responded quickly and was adaptive to the package and pricing. We were so impressed with her genuine happiness for our relationship and her professional attitude. Since we were planning from out of town, the first time we met Kimberly in person was at our first look photo shoot at Bull Run Battlefield sites in Virginia before the wedding ceremony. I was feeling overwhelmed with a nervous excitement, but my nerves went away as soon as I arrived because Kimberly directed us in a way that our first look was captured beautifully by her camera while making us feel like we were all alone in that moment. From the start, she seemed to know exactly how to pose us naturally with wonderful artistic direction. She focused on both the look of the large scale photo and the small details, like hand placement, hair/veil, head tilts, etc. I e-mailed Kimberly prior to the wedding with a few notes on the locations and types of photos we were looking for and she clearly took everything into consideration. She even visited the locations ahead of time to get ideas for our photo shoot and saved time by knowing where and how to photograph us! During the ceremony and reception, Kimberly was able to capture all of our favorite moments. During the night, she took small opportunities to pull us aside for great photo ops while also knowing when we needed to focus on our guests. She was there for every moment that needed to be captured but was not too noticeable. Kimberly took all of the family portraits in a timely manner and was adaptive to the requests that we had. She also knew that we wanted our bridal party photos to look natural instead of posed, so she allowed us to have fun with our large and goofy group during the photographs. We received several compliments after the wedding in regards to Kimberly's energy and professionalism. At the end of the night, when all of the guests had left and it was past the time that we had arranged for Kimberly to stay, she pulled my husband and I aside to take one last photo of us in rocking chairs, a request I forgot I had made. It was the perfect way to end the night and I was so impressed that she made stayed late to make it happen. Kimberly posted 20 photos from our wedding on social media for our sneak peak three days after our wedding! I looked through them and was immediately in awe of her work. As we looked through the photos, we felt like each of them were so beautiful and could be straight out of a bridal magazine! Kimberly made us look and feel like models while also allowing us to still look like ourselves. The photos clearly portray the type of couple we are--happy, goofy, classic, nerdy, and in love. She also captured the beauty of the historical sites, which was so special to me. I look through the photos everyday and still cannot choose which one is my favorite! Kimberly deserves more praise than I can put into words. My husband and I will be forever thankful to her for capturing the most incredible day of our lives in such a beautiful way. Not only was she able to address all of our questions, but she was able to give examples of where she handled similar challenges in the past. Our concerns was addressed! In reviewing her previous work, she really stood out from the other photographers that we'd previously interviewed. She clearly has a portfolio with variety, and adapted to various scenarios whether they be portraits or candid pictures (which was very important to us). Kimberly was very clear that she wanted to make sure we hit on all the types of photos that we wanted, and asked us to provide her with a specific list and/or our Pintrest board showing examples of the types of pictures we wanted. This made us feel very confident! The day of the wedding, Kimberly was punctual and moved effortlessly between the bridal suite and the groom's suite. She was fun and light hearted when she needed to be, taking full advantage of both parties getting ready to produce some truely excellent candid shots. Our venue has a lot of outdoor areas that we wanted covered, and Kimberly's photos absolutely caught how gorgeous the day turned out to be weather wise, and wedding decoration wise. During the wedding and reception, she was never in the way respecting everyone's space yet somehow snapping some truely emotional and meaningful moments. When the party ramped up, Kimberly was on the dance floor capturing the revelry of the crowd, and absolutely hitting on the candid photo requirement we'd initially talked about. She was very flexible about staying a little later to capture some night scenes, as well as the sparkler send off. In the end, we had a full picture (no pun intended) of the day that clearly tells a story. We would definitely recommend Kimberly for her skill, attitude, and attention to detail.

I loved that she digitally releases the photos to you, which gives you the option of having all of your photos and being able to print them on your own terms. She also has tons of packages and extras that she can do for you (her photo albums are gorgeous). I would highly recommend her to anyone (friends, family, strangers), and I will always use her in the future for any photography needs (when I have babies!)!
