Kim is absolutely incredible and I cannot speak more highly of her. Kim was my sister in-law's wedding photographer and our entire family has been so impressed with her and we have been using her ever since for our actual surprise engagement, engagement photos, our wedding, and will be booking with her again sometime in the future. She is so thoughtful and genuine and makes everything easy with scheduling and giving us plenty of photos for each event. We booked the full day coverage and added on a wedding album and highly recommend this one because it was great to have Kim and a second photographer for the day of to get even more shots and the amount of time was perfect for our wedding. We had to move our wedding date due to COVID and Kim was more than willing to help find a new date, and even called me immediately when my original venue closed down and she just wanted to call and check on me. I couldn't speak more highly of Kim and I cannot wait until the next time I get to see her for another shoot. Book with Kim and you won't regret it and will have the most amazing wedding photos you will ever dream of!

Incredible photographer!!! She was very organized and helped us figure out what we wanted photos-wise, but she also worked with us to put together a wedding day timeline and think through what was important to us on our day. She even came by and scoped out possible photo locations in advance so we were all on the same page on the day. Lastly, on the day, she was a calming presence and even suggested additional angles/shots that have turned out to be among my favorites! Would absolutely turn to her again!!

Kimberly is amazing! Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she has a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease, which is especially valuable if you're like I am and feel slightly awkward being photographed. I'm hoping we can use her again in the future to photograph our dog :) The photos she's gifted us are one of the highlights of our wedding. I'm so glad we worked with her!

Hiring Kim was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. I was very picky when it came to a photographer, and as soon as I saw Kim's work, I knew she was who I wanted to photograph my wedding day. But Kim is not just a great photographer because of her work--she is a great person, and so wonderful and easy to work with. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable as soon as we met her. We are both stiff and not the most photogenic, but within 5 minutes of our engagement session, she had us laughing, acting like ourselves, and the pictures were more beautiful than I could have imaged. On our wedding day, Kim made sure everything went smoothly. Despite inclement weather, she managed to get some stunning outdoor shots. She was a joy to be around--always making us laugh and smile, and making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day. Not only did our wedding pictures come back much sooner than I expected (and way faster than other photographers, from what I had heard from friends), but they were absolutely STUNNING. I feel so lucky to have met Kim and to have these pictures forever. I can never thank Kim enough for everything she did for us.

Kimberly was the first vendor I booked for my wedding on April 20, 2019 after seeing her work from a styled shoot online at my venue I knew I had to have her. When I met her in person she was so sweet and had a beautiful studio in Grandview. Kimberly has been amazing to work with over the last year. She flew to New York City, where we live, to shoot our engagement photos and spent the entire day with us capturing some gorgeous shots. She also was by my side for every detail of our wedding and while I haven't seen those photos yet there is no doubt they will be perfect. The time she spent with me on both my engagement shoot and weddings days was something I know I wouldn't get with any other photographer and I can't wait to see her work from our wedding day. She is responsive to emails, set up several meetings with us and planned out a day of schedule to ensure she captured everything we wanted. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the area.

If you’re looking for the best wedding photographer ever... look no further! Kim was simply AMAZING in every way. Working with her was the best decision we made, hands down! For starters, Kim has the best personality. She was so fun & full of positive energy! She was the perfect balance of ~go with the flow~ while still following a strict timeline & managing to get the perfect shots. She was FANTASTIC at “coaching” the wedding party to achieve the best poses & most natural looking group photos. I was shocked how quickly Kim sent us our online portal with all our wedding photos! Where do I begin!? From the very start, Kimberly was nothing short of extraordinary. In our initial meeting, James and I were nervous and fumbling with our words, trying to explain our vision and talking about this "wedding" that seemed so far away at that time. Kimberly made us feel right at home, asking all the right questions, and you could feel the warmth and excitement she had for us. She genuinely cared about what we describing and all of the sudden, the nerves went away. By the end of the meeting, James and I were chatting with an old friend. Walking to our car, I knew that Kimberly is a perfect fit. That "wedding" that we described as a newly engaged couple to Kimberly was here. It was June 3, 2017. I married my husband in the place where we grew up together, in his parents back yard. I knew 10 years ago that this would someday be the place of my dream wedding to my high school sweetheart. This was a special place to us both and I truly believe that only Kimberly could capture the love and magic of the place. She captured all of the small details as well as the biggest moments-our first look, the first kiss as husband and wife, and the joy on all of our guests faces as they surrounded James and I on the best day of our lives. It has been five months since our wedding. I am sharing my story because that is what Kimberly did for us. When I look at our wedding pictures, which is daily, they tell a story. They tell our story. All of those moments and all of those feelings come right back to me, just like no time has passed at all. The best part of all, I have these to cherish and share for the rest of my life. Kimberly is the best in the business! We received comments that our photographs looked like they were from a bridal magazine. Kimberly is so kind, funny and down to earth we were immediately put at ease. She met with us at the beginning of the process simply to listen to our vision and expectations and to get to know us. We also decided to do engagement photos at Kimberly's suggestion so we could 'practice'. And, she was ultimately the one who convinced us to do a 'first look' which is the best decision we made, not only for photographs but for putting us at ease for the entire day. I can't say enough great things about Kimberly. My husband and I were pretty adamant about not wanting engagement photos but they came with our wedding package and Kimberly insisted, saying it gives us a chance to get to know each other and for her to get to know our personalities. These engagement pictures were fantastic. We ended up loving all of them and it only made me more excited for the pictures she was going to capture on our big day. On the day of our wedding, Kimberly and her assistant Donna instantly became like friends just there taking pictures. They weren't intrusive and it was never awkward. We just got our pictures back and they were better than we could have imagined. We've received so many compliments from everyone we've shown them to thus far. We love Kim. We do not photograph well and she made the entire process so enjoyable. We asked for candid pictures and I honestly didn't even know she was there during the reception or ceremony. Choosing Kimberly to photograph our wedding was one of the best and smartest decisions we made in planning for our Big Day. I was a little nervous that my husband would be camera-shy and uncomfortable on our wedding day. However, Kimberly made the photography experience SO fun and relaxing - after our engagement photos he asked when we could do it again! The photography was the most important aspect of our wedding day for us. My wedding was July 22nd at the Bluestone. Since it is such a unique venue, I really wanted someone with a lot of experience and Kimberly was on the list of preferred vendors. She ended up being the only person we met with. She fit exactly what we were looking for - creative, friendly, easy going, and experienced. We had two photographers, plus we added on the YOU BOOTH, which was an absolute hit with the guests! Think photo booth, but a simple photo drop and MUCH better quality than a regular photo booth - and you get another photographer with it - so essentially we had 3 professional photographers capturing the entire day. Kimberly, Kimberly and Mike were so great to work with. They made everyone feel so comfortable and allowed all our guests and wedding party to let loose and enjoy themselves. Every time I walked by the booth, I could hear Mike telling everyone they had just taken the best photo of the night lol. He was able to keep the party going even outside the actual party! Communication with Kimberly was outstanding, she was always available and responded very quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend their services! Thank you all so much!!

I met Kimberly at The Arnold weekend where we took the pictures the CrossFitters competed. I was a photographer for my gym that operates the competitions annually. I saw how well she blended into the crowd, and how quick she was. I loved the way she worked around people and arena. I barely noticed her! I can almost promise she is a ninja ;). I told my then-fiance' (now husband) we must have Kimberly for the engagement and wedding pictures. It was a first step when I barely started planning the wedding. Kimberly photographed my wedding in August 2015 and was absolutely amazing! She was my first choice and I was so happy to have booked her. Plan ahead though - I booked her in June 2014 and I believe she already had weddings on the books for August 2015 by then. I was planning long distance and she was always available to answer my questions with phone or email. The first time I met with her she put me at ease with her professionalism and friendly, easy-going personality. She was also very proactive in reaching out to remind me of upcoming deadlines. We had an engagement shoot with her as part of our package, which was wonderful. She is an absolute pleasure to work with - she gives very good direction without being overly "posed". We are not camera-shy, and Kimberly was great at capturing us as we did our own thing, but she would be equally great for couples who are not comfortable in front of the camera. On my wedding day we ended up running about an hour behind (hair and makeup ran over) but she kept me at ease the entire time. She captured everything I had wanted on the day and I never felt rushed or flustered. She worked well within the photography restrictions at my ceremony venue and didn't miss a thing. She also turned the photos around very quickly - exactly one week after the wedding. I also enjoyed the images she shared on Instagram, which were fun teasers to see while on our honeymoon.

Kimberly was patient, professional, listened to our wishes and captured all of our special moments and personality. She did a fabulous getting all of our large family pictures which were so important to us. Also, as a bride that is your typical planner at heart, and putting so much time in all my little details, I completely appreciated her attention to capturing all my pictures of my details so I can remember them forever. Kimberly is the total package! She is professional, talented, and fun! Her eye for photography is amazing and her aesthetic is beautiful! I had many requests of her before, during, and after the wedding and she was extremely accommodating and always does things with a smile on her face. On the wedding day, she was great at time management and keeping things moving along without feeling rushed. We had videographers that were not affiliated with her and she worked very professionally and collaboratively with them. The photos were exactly what we were looking for! She gave great direction on posing that made our photos look very natural. The lighting is bright and fresh and romantic. I highly recommend working her. We truly enjoyed working with Kimberly throughout our engagement and on our wedding day! We met with a few different photographers who were all great, but ultimately we just “clicked” with Kimberly. She’s friendly, personable and extremely easy to work with. We lived in Chicago at the time of our engagement so thought it would be special to have our engagement photos taken in the city where our relationship started. Kimberly was so accommodating to this request. We coordinated schedules and found a day that worked for her to fly out to Chicago to shoot our session. Now that we’re living back in Columbus we feel so lucky to have really great professional photos that capture our time living in a city so near and dear to our hearts. As we got closer to the wedding we met with Kimberly a couple of times to go through our day-of timeline and do a walk-through of our venue. After our conversations, she provided some great recommendations to make photos more efficient and the day flow seamlessly. These suggestions were so simple, yet only something that someone with her level of experience level would think of. Since you spend the majority of your wedding day with your photographer, we wanted to be sure we were with someone who we were comfortable with and enjoyed being around. Kimberly and her second shooter Nick were a perfect fit for us! We had to make a few adjustments throughout the day due to weather and Kimberly was extremely flexible with the change of plans. She has a way about just making everything work. After the wedding Kimberly sent us a link to our online photo gallery very quickly. We know many people who didn’t get their wedding photos back for months, so we were so happy to have them so soon after our big day. Overall we had a wonderful experience with Kimberly and would highly recommend working with her.

Kimberley photographed our wedding in June, 2015, and she was amazing! So fun and easy to work with, and our pictures turned out beautifully. A friend of mine told me that she spotted her multiple times sprinting from one shooting location to the next; I'd say that is true dedication to her work. If you can book Kimberly, do it ASAP! During our first visit with Kimberly, she showed genuine interests in our story rather than getting our business. After meeting 2 other photographers, it was clear that Kimberly had set the bar very high and we knew she is the one! A thunderstorm began 2 hours before our engagement session, and Kimberly checked with us through e-mailed and suggested that we could pick another day if we are worried. Luckily, the storm ended in time, and we had the best light and temperature for outdoor photography that evening. On the day of the wedding, Kimberly showed up on time with great energy. She and her assistant were very patient and wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding. We had a non-traditional wedding, and Kimberly was willing to commandant our needs. After the wedding, she was very quick in getting photos back to our hands (both online gallery and the final copy of all images on a personalized hard drive). Everyone raves about the photos, even my Asian friends who are used to "studio wedding photography"! We cannot thank Kimberly enough for preserving the wonderful moments of our wedding.

I loved working with Kimberly throughout my engagement and wedding. I had spoken with all different photographers from all over but wasn't set on any of them. Kimberly was recommended by my venue and I spoke with her and I immediately loved her accommodating she was and patient with my questions. I highly recommend Kimberly Potterf for engagement and wedding photography! She was fantastic! I originally chose Kimberly as I loved the style of her pictures however, she was also fantastic to work with. She remembered every combination of family pictures I wanted and was so friendly throughout the entire process. We booked a package with Kimberly and a second photographer, and I have nothing be great things to say about the second photographer as well. Kimberly even had my wedding pictures back to me earlier than she anticipated. I showed all of my friends and family...they were blown away!

Kimberly was great to work with! She took the time to understand our style and what we wanted, and tailored our pictures to match! My husband and I don't love getting photos taken but she made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot in German Village. We included our dog in some of the shoot. Kimberly was very patient with him and the photos with the dog turned out to be some of our favorites! On our wedding day, Kimberly and her assistant captured all of our important moments beautifully. It was raining during the afternoon and she had great suggestions for where we could take covered pictures and had a clear umbrella for those in the rain! We had so many great shots to choose from for our album and have gotten many compliments on our pictures! I would definitely recommend Kimberly as your wedding photographer!

Kimberly was the photographer for my sister's wedding last year, and when my husband and I started planning our wedding this year, there was no question that we would also work with Kimberly. They managed to capture intimate photos of every moment of our wedding and yet they were not at all obtrusive. Sometimes I would think, oh I wish the photographer was here, and then I would here a shutter snap. -My husband and I both really LIKE Kimberly. She's fun and nice and a damn good photographer! Jeff (my now husband) and I decided very early on in our planning process that we were not going to hire a videographer. Just an added expense to a wedding and we knew that if we found the perfect photographer that they would be able to capture those special moments. We found exactly what we were looking for in Kimberly. From the first time we met with her we just knew she was going to be our photographer. It is not very often that you find such a perfect fit for your vision and style. Living in Clintonville, Jeff and I wanted to make sure to represent the place we lived in our pictures. Additionally, I wanted a graffiti wall. Kimberly was able to find the PERFECT spot and I know that no other couples in Columbus have their wedding pictures on that wall. When we received our pictures (about 4 weeks later) we were not disappointed. Kimberly somehow able to catch every intimate moment along with all the fun stuff of the day. I still cry tears of joy every time I look through them. As I have said before there was no better fit for a photographer than Kimberly for us. We enjoyed every moment of our day and Kimberly captured all of our best moments. I highly recommend any Bride that is looking for someone to capture more than just the standard day of pictures to use Kimberly.

We had a small wedding in June 2014. Kimberly was the perfect choice for a photographer - she was professional, friendly, and managed to get so many sweet and personal shots of the event. She maintained excellent communication throughout the planning process, and we were so happy with the images - it was literally difficult to choose favorites!!!

I struggled searching for a photographer for our wedding day. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding Kimberly had shot and knew of her work, but I initially thought it would be easier to work with a photographer close by. Boy was I wrong! I researched many, many photographers in my area and nothing came close to what Kimberly shoots. A friend of mine had Kimberly shoot her wedding, and I was absolutely obsessed with her pictures, coming back to them time and time again. My biggest pet peeve is overly photoshopped pictures. Kimberly's pictures are very open, inviting, colorful, natural, and really capture the essence of the moment. After being really frustrated with my local photographer search, a family friend suggested her again. I was BEYOND excited when I contacted her and she was available for my wedding. Photography was incredibly import for my wedding day, since I come from a large family who make every effort to be together on these special occasions. I did not want anybody else shooting these moments. Kimberly herself is an absolute dream to work with. She's very upbeat, calming, professional and non-invasive. She is open, honest, very responsive to all of my communications, and like talking to a good friend. Moreover, she was incredibly accommodating as I felt the standard packages did not quite fit my needs, and she was more than happy to work with me on finding one that would. As part of this package, she shot our engagement pictures. Holy moly do I love those pictures! We exchanged a few emails discussing a few locations she recommended, and all my husband and I had to do was show up. The shoot was really relaxed and casual. We were in an outdoor location, and it was like strolling on a trail talking with your friend about the day. Initially, I was nervous but Kimberly has a way of blending into the background while making you feel so comfortable. As far as the wedding, the week leading up to the wedding we emailed and talked on the phone. This was again an informal conversation, with her guiding me on how she typically shoots. This was very calming and re-assuring to me, because it felt like one less thing I had to worry about! All of her tips and tricks are invaluable - her experience shooting weddings has given her so many ideas and feedback on the best way to do things. The day of the wedding, Kimberly and her assistant were punctual and amazing. I don't know how she manages to keep such a low profile, but it was so comfortable having her there. She would quickly explain her plan, and be off. During the actual ceremony, I could not pick her out from any of our guests. Afterwards, she was so efficient about all of the group shots! For the bridal party shots, she balanced her professionalism with her brilliant, fun personality for some gorgeous outdoor photos. For the reception, again she was inconspicuous. Even my family and friends remarked afterwards on how you did not even notice she was around. Furthermore, they cannot stop raving about her pictures. Everyone I have talked to has expressed how excited they were that Kimberly was shooting our wedding because of how gorgeous our engagement pictures turned out. There really is no one better than Kimberly if you want a stress-free person to work with and absolutely stunningly beautiful, original, artistic photos!

I chose Kimberly as our photographer because her photographs capture real life as it's happening - not over-staged or planned out to look like your favorite pic on pinterest - but the real energy, life, and love standing in front of her. She not only lived up to that expectation, but exceeded it. I could not be happier with our wedding photos or the experience of working with Kimberly. She is professional and personable, and has the sweetest dog in the world to boot. I would recommend her to anyone!

Kimberly is an amazing photographer! She did a wonderful job capturing not only the large and small events of our wedding day, but also the style of the event and the emotions of all our friends and family. Every time I look at our photos, I feel like I am reliving the day. In addition to her high quality photos, Kimberly was easy to work with. She was very calm and laid back, but also organized and attentive to the details we discussed prior to the event. I would recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a photographer for a wedding or special event!

When my wife and I first started looking for photographers for our wedding, we were a little overwhelmed. There were so many choices, and photo technology has come so far that it made it tough to discern a good photographer from a great one. We used the internet and wedding expos around the city to narrow down our choices to a few people/companies that jumped out at us, and then we scheduled some face-to-face meetings with them to get a feel for their personalities. When we met Kimberly, we had chemistry immediately. My wife sent her some photos that we liked ahead of time, and Kimberly was prepared with ideas and samples. We left that first meeting with very high expectations for our photos, and Kimberly delivered from start to finish. Our engagement photos were fantastic. Kimberly did a great job of guiding us into some unique shots downtown, and the turnaround time from shoot to delivery was very quick. As we got closer to our wedding day, Kimberly helped us with the flow of events. We didn't really have a good idea of how long things were going to take, so her input was incredibly helpful. Our event coordinator was also grateful for Kimberly's input. When the day finally came, Kimberly and her assistant arrived early, looking professional and keeping a low profile while they got their equipment ready. They were with us from the time we started getting ready until the very last song of the evening, and they did a great job of keeping us on schedule. We received our photos shortly after we returned from our honeymoon, and we couldn't possibly be happier with them. Kimberly definitely did a great job of capturing all of the fun we had with our friends and family on a day we'll never forget. I would absolutely recommend her for any photography work. Even now, almost four months after our wedding, we still talk to Kimberly and are even planning trips to the dog park with our pups. She is a fantastic person, and she will not let you down.

My now husband and I met with five different photographers before choosing Kimberly because we had decided early on that this was the most important aspect of the wedding for us, both because we had to be with this person all day and because this would be one of the only tangible artifacts from our wedding. After meeting Kimberly and seeing her work, we knew both parts of our needs would be perfectly met. She has an infectious attitude that my bridesmaids and I loved while having our photos taken. Everyone was smiling and having a good time, thanks to Kimberly. While I haven't yet received my final photos, the handful she's sent so far are stunning and I couldn't be happier.

Altough my husband and I had a relatively small wedding (only 75 people) and a relatively small budget we decided to splurge on a top quality photographer. We interviewed several photographers in the area with all different price points and we loved Kimberly's photojournalistic approach. She seems to effortly capture beautiful images that no one else can. She has a vision and is able to see beauty where most people would just walk right by. She is great with people and even held her own with my downright rude grandmother. Her work is immpeciable and I am so greatful we chose her as our photographer. I cannot say enough good things about her.

Kim was friendly, professional, and flexible during the planning process. Her and LeAnne were so fun and great to work with on the wedding day. So far the photos look awesome and I can't wait to see the rest!
