Kimbrough Salas Music

As a bride on a budget, I wasn't sure I wanted a DJ at first. I was also scared of DJ's, as I had seen some terrible DJ's at other weddings I attended. I am so glad a friend recommended Kimbrough to me. He really made our small, 35 person wedding amazing. Our event had wonderful energy the whole night, and about 90% of attendees even danced! (I had been told by numerous people that at most small weddings only a few people dance.) More importantly, Kimbrough honored our eclectic music tastes. I wasn't interested in hip-hop/pop/rap music, but wanted acoustic guitar, select oldies, etc. I loved the songs Kimbrough chose! He played many songs from our favorites list, and sprinkled similar, up-beat songs to get everyone moving. Kimbrough also worked within our budget. He was very reasonably priced and even offered a discount on custom lighting so we had up-lighting and a large Gobo light. All of this added to a wonderful feel at our reception (Tarragon Restaurant). Also, he was a good Emcee, introducing various aspects of the reception (first dance, cake cutting, etc.) without bothering people or being annoying (like I said, I've seen some truly awful DJ's). Please, consider Kimbrough for your event! He is professional, classy, warm and friendly. I promise you, he will do an amazing job.

He kept the party going;He doesn't download songs he doesn't already have, so good luck if you have an eclectic taste. He did play most of our requests (put the party was fun so we didn't notice until after) He forgot to do the bouquet toss and garter toss until one hours before the end of our reception and our photographers already left.

Good mix of music

He was great at making sure he had the exact music that we wanted to be played. If he didn't have it then we provided him the copy of the music and he made sure to return the CD to us. He was polite and worked well with the guests and the wedding party.
