not say I recommend or was impressed with the level of service I recieved. The hotel stay itself was nice, rooms are clean, the bedding isn't very luxurious for the price of the expensive lodges but the service from house keeping was great. My wedding planner was disorganized and when they said things would be done a certain way at a certain time it was not. The planning experience was awful, I had to initiate almost everything and I would wait more than a week for responses. There was always an excuse of the planner being busy. I was hoping the day of would be great but that was not either. Guest arrived to the reception area and workers were still trying to put the room together. The chairs were absolutely disgusting even though I assured and reassured they would be cleaned. The food was decent at best, the bread was warmer than the food. I also did not get an opportunity for a tasting due to schedule conflicts on their end. The planner insisted on assigned seating which was fine but then the tables were mislabeled and their was no actual assigned seating. The guests were just given table numbers and people were seated oddly. The planner also insisted on handling decor even though I had my own person to do this, the linens were incorrect. I just cannot reccomend this place for events. Its sad because this is only a small portion of disappointments and I was very excited to work with this place. I even have 2 friends who booked here before I started having issues. I also wanted to have my baby shower here and I just dont think ill ever recommend this resort. At one point I definitely just stopped trying to work with them, I was so tired of repeating myself, arguing, and not receiving the level of service I was promised. they offered some money back for their mistakes which then I got a bill from them nickel and diming me for vendor meals that were supposed to be discounted. In the end i received no money back from that and I only had 2 additional people from my original quote. I never expected anything back but I really did not get to experience wedding planning the way it was supposed to be. We didnt even get to do a tasting or see the table settings in person. very sad.

he Scottsdale Plaza for a complete wedding week from rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. As a destination wedding, this allowed us to get to know our new family and spend time with ones we haven’t seen in a while. Our wedding was small (about 50) and the resort accommodated us with a custom Luau-style rehearsal dinner and a full roasted Kalua pig! They even provided equipment for a karaoke night! There are many options to locate the ceremony, rehearsal dinner and reception. They were able to create a different vibe for each space. The venue also accommodates wedding sizes from small and intimate to large parties of 300 plus. Our small wedding did not feel small at all and we had no problem filling our space with decor, music and fun! This beautifully groomed resort keeps the flowers and vegetation fresh and the ceremony spots are gorgeous! Our guests were able to enjoy private villas, pools and spas near their patios and great food from the restaurants. There are beautiful bonfires with comfortable seating located on the grounds for gathering. Dining at the resort bar and grill provided great appetizers, tacos, salads, burgers and more. The breakfast was spectacular with lots of unique options and great service. The highlight was the outdoor wood-fired pizza bistro where you could also order your pizzas delivered poolside! Inside, there was a marketplace and coffee shop where you could grab breakfast-to-go, or just gifts, cards, meds. Some other great highlights of the Scottsdale Plaza is its location. Within walking distance, are several restaurants from sushi to Italian. However, we enjoyed the food on site just as much if not better. If you want to explore Old Town, the resort will give you a complimentary ride to downtown! They will also provide rides to McCormick Ranch for some golf! We could provide a little of everything for our guests during the week. There was no need to rent a car and the kiddie train park across the street offered fun for the kids. We cannot recommend the Scottsdale Plaza Resort enough. The many extras from staff that went above and beyond, from the help with decor to the willingness to create custom menus, we were never told “No” to nearly anything. To say this venue was “affordable” makes it sound “less than”, but this was a five star experience and our guests are still raving about it. If you are looking to plan a “stress-free” wedding, this should be on your final list of considerations, and then you should put your event into Suvanna’s capable hands.

ing bushes and flowers that surround the entire area! Camelback Vista was where we had our all outdoor reception and it was just stunning! The bride and groom prep suites were large and perfect for getting ready the day of! The honeymoon suite was to die for! We LOVED the food and all of our guests raved about it. It is NOT your traditional boring "wedding food". Lastly, the staff. We worked with Sandy Ellison from start to finish and I cannot say enough about her. She accommodated us and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. She truly went above and beyond and we are blessed to now call her a friend. We cannot thank Sandy and the rest of the resort staff for everything they did. Our day was truly the best day ever and it started with the venue!

on all the adjustments that we needed to make due to COVID-19. Sandy, Sean, and the executive chef are all amazing. I can't say enough about them.

we also wanted to cater to our out of town guests. I could not have dreamed of a more perfect location for both the ceremony and reception. We were fortunate with the weather and had both outdoors . Kate Gallagher and her team made sure everything flowed exactly how we planned it. I was not stressed at all leading up to our wedding because I knew she had everything taken care of. The rooms were all updated over the summer and they have a wide variety of room styles. We had some friends share rooms and it was perfect for them. One of my favorite parts of the night was having an after-party in the hotel bar. They had a band and reverse happy hour so we didn't need to go anywhere else. It really was the perfect venue for our wedding.
