Kim's Events, based in Austin, TX, is run by an artist that creates one-of-a-kind wedding favors. Artist Kim Karnes has been practicing oil painting and sketching since 2014. Originally from the San Francisco area, her artwork has been heavily influenced by this region's bright landscapes and versatile color palette. Kim studied Renaissance art under Noah Buchanan at the Florence Academy in Italy and in California at the College of San Mateo. With her traditional painting techniques, she will create vivid portraits, landscapes, or still-life paintings of your wedding day while keeping things fresh with her contemporary style. Kim is willing to travel to your wedding for a more convenient experience. She will arrive five hours before the ceremony to explore the venue’s grounds with you and recommend the best angles and locations. She can set up her easel and paint onsite in the background, adding in each detail and movement as it comes to her. Her scenes are vibrantly and expertly captured, with you and your guests at the center of each masterpiece. Kim's Events can paint your ceremony and reception, along with special requests, such as a scene from the first dance, in real time.
