We ordered our wedding cake from Kim's Kakery and it was SO delicious!!!! We received rave reviews from everyone at our wedding!! The reason that I am rating a 4 instead of a 5 star is because the communication was not very good. We ended up waiting quite a while for responses - sometimes even having to send a follow-up. Also, we were told one size of cake stand to purchase, but the cake ended up being delivered on a board that was too big for our cake stand. With that said, we would still order from them again and would definitely still whole heartedly recommend them! The cake was moist and perfect, they have a wide variety of flavors. We plan to get our anniversary cakes and any other cakes from them in the future.

We tasted at a few places but Kim's had the best staff who really listened and cared about our experience. My husband was not available for the tasting but they made sure I went home with lots of samples for him. They delivered the cake and it was wonderful!

Our cake was just perfect!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! Just how we had imagined it!! We had a large wedding so we had a four tiered cake and 3 sheet cakes with 4 different flavors and it all came out perfect! Our guests loved the cakes and enjoyed the variety of flavors! Amber was great to work with! She was very communicative and answered all our questions to help make our "Sweet Dreams" come to life! From the tasting to the final product we could not be happier with our decision to choose Kim's Kakery.

The bakery offers cake tastings for you to try out different flavors of cake a frostings. You get to show them pictures of your dream cake, and they will deliver! W had a three tier cake. Lowest tier being Ube, middle tier was passion fruit, and the top tier was coconut. Our guest loved the three exotic choices!

I have zero complaints about the cake and cake flavor for our wedding. It was an absolute hit at our wedding and tasted amazing. I have many complaints on the management and organization of this company. The ownership of the bakery changed after I signed my contract, and it has gone downhill since. We used Kim's Kakery for both our rehearsal dinner cake and wedding cake. When we showed up to get the cake for the rehearsal, they had lost in and couldn't find the order or cake. It took them an hour to find it. For the wedding day, I had guests with dietary restrictions so I called 2 weeks prior to add some gluten free cupcakes. I spoke with the new manager, Amber, and it was no issue. They completely forgot to even bring them the day of the wedding. I had two members of the bakery get in an argument in front of me about contract wording. Although their cake flavors are amazing, it does not outweigh the level or disorganization and unprofessional I experienced.

The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. We got so many compliments on the way it looked, but were told by multiple people it was the best wedding cake they've ever had (and I would have to agree). They also made the process totally painless. We did two tastings with them, which was honestly the hardest part because all of the ones we tasted were so good. They have every flavor you could think of, and then about ten more. We ended up doing two flavors, white chocolate raspberry and spice, because we couldn't decide. We did a tiered cake for the cutting and kitchen cakes, all of which were delivered to our venue.

Our cake was DELICIOUS! We went for carrot cake for our cut cake, and we couldn't have asked for a yummier one! We also went with cupcakes for our guests, and they looked amazing. All very tasty. We especially recommend the Ube! Very professional, efficient, and a large selection of flavors to choose from!

Kim's Kakery was so great to work with when designing our wedding cake! They helped us come up with a unique cake that was fun, beautiful, and delicious! Kim's has unique flavors that I haven't seen anywhere else! Some of our favorite flavors of cake were Ube and Orange dream-sickle! They can make anything you imagine possible! :) A big thanks to Kim's Kakery and their team! Would definitely recommend!

I am so thankful I found this place and we got our wedding cake here! I can't say enough about Larry. He is so generous and kind and helped us find the perfect cake. We got a 4 tier cake with 2 different flavors and gave him silk flowers for decorating. Everything looked perfect and tasted perfect. All of our guests were raving about the cake for days afterwards. We definitely are going to get our anniversary cake here in the future. Kim's Kakery seriously went above and beyond!

Rose S. Kim’s is the only bakery in Indy that I will ever use. Larry and Kim have out done themselves with the finest staff to get the job done. They are so kind and want your special day to be perfect. Every detail. Everything is homemade at Kim’s and you won’t find anything taste better. The cake artist are top notch. The bakery is a perfect quaint and cozy Homie atmosphere the staff is very friendly and does what they can to meet all your needs. You even can meet the baker if you like. They removed the stress from this portion of your special day. The cakes are absolutely beautiful and delicious! The butter cream icing is the best in town. Besides the cake, Kim’s has specialty items every single day they are open, cupcakes cookies brownies etc. make Kim’s your one stop bakery. I’ll never go anywhere else. Easily found at the corner of Elper and Madison Avenue. The deliver and set up. I can’t say enough, how impressive the team works together and the end result is magnificent. Thank you Kim’s

Oh my goodness this place is DELICIOUS! We ordered our wedding cake from here and it was absolutely stunning and by far the best tasting cake we have ever put in our mouths! They were attentive to detail and on time taking a lot of stress off of us on our big day. We HIGHLY recommend Kims Kakes!

We ordered our wedding cake and all of our yummy treats through them. The experience was nothing short of amazing! From the scheduled tasting to the pricing to the delivery, they nailed it perfectly! We had so many compliments on the day of and made sure to spread the word! We highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!!

Kim’s Kakery was amazing to work with! Their wedding coordinator was so knowledgeable and kind in helping us design and pick the best flavors for our dream cake. This bakery was professional and punctual as well as reasonably priced. On our wedding day, the cake looked beyond fabulous and it was super delicious! We can’t recommend Kim’s Kakery enough if you live in the Indianapolis area!

Kim’s Kakery was recommended after my friend used them for her wedding. From the cake tasting to the actual wedding cake, I’ve been so impressed. They had so many different options to choose from and really helped to create a unique wedding cake. They make the cake fresh the week of your wedding and you can truly taste the difference. Our cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious! Their cakes are priced very fairly which was important to me and my husband. I would STRONGLY recommend them for wedding cakes and other desserts. We will be forever customers.

The cakes were had for our wedding were amazing! We had a small wedding cake for myself and my husband, and we had four different cupcake flavors for our guests: black forest, apple cinnamon, banana cream, and butterscotch. When the original owner stepped down while we were planning what we wanted for our wedding, Larry was quick to reach out and ask us to come in for a second tasting, since he had other ideas to help us incorporate flavors for our fall wedding. The cakes were amazing!

I've been waiting to leave this review for a couple weeks. If you want the best look no farther that the people at Kims Kakery. From the start the cake and cupcake tasting we knew we chose the best in Indy. They have lots of options and THE BEST staff to help you with your vision. And the cake and cupcakes OH MY GOD tasted amazing. I've never had a cake that stayed that moist 3 days after the wedding. If you are planning your wedding and need a bakery Kims Kakery is the BEST.

As a bride with Celiac Disease, cake tasting was one aspect of planning I wasn’t excited about. Kim and her team were great to work with, as they took my need for a gluten free cake extremely seriously and did everything in their power to keep me safe. Plus, their gluten free cake was delicious! We also got a regular wedding cake for the rest of the guests, and everyone enjoyed it as well!

I want to start off by saying the cakes themselves are fantastic. They both look and taste great, and I love the designs the Kim and her staff come up with. That being said, the customer service here was atrocious. I wanted to buy a fairly expensive wedding cake. The cake was one of the aspects of wedding that I really cared about and I was willing to spend what ever it cost. I was told after an amazing tasting that I could email design ideas and get a quote, and I did that. I emailed about a week after the tasting with my final design asking for a price. I didn't hear back for 2 weeks. I emailed again to make sure me email was received. I didn't hear back for another week. I called the shop to make sure my emails were being received. They said they would have someone get back to me, which didn't happen. There is so much that goes on with wedding planning, dealing with a baker who doesn't get back to you isn't worth the hassle

Kim's Kakery has the most delicious cake! The final product look exactly as I had envisioned and we had tons of compliments on the cake. They're very thorough walking you through the tasting & selection. Highly recommend!

The process of selecting Kim's Kakery was an easy one. They made sampling and ordering the cake super easy. We were able to look at a lot of different designs and taste several flavor options. We ended up getting a three tier cake and one half sheet cake, each layer was a different flavor (Almond, Chocolate, Snicker doodle & Strawberry). The guests loved the cake, there wasn't any left, and we even ordered quite a bit extra. The design was exactly like we had wanted and it turned out beautiful. One note: The payment is due by a certain date that is listed in the contract and there is no reminder email sent out about paying. If you don't pay by x day you must pay in cash at the physical location.

We ordered cupcakes and a sheet cake for our wedding. The process was easy and the employees were very pleasant to work with.

I feel very conflicted about how many stars to put for my review. We ordered our wedding cake from here. Process was very easy and I met with somebody there to talk about exactly what we wanted. We even bought a test cake separately that was just wonderful. The wedding cake was supposed to be a Bavarian cream strawberry-filled cake. It represented the very important memory of someoene we loved and was really the only detail about the wedding we cared about because of the symbolism. However, on our wedding day, a large portion of our cake was replaced with blueberries and lemon filling. We were so surprised when we cut the cake and got blueberries. To this day, it's a mystery as to how much of the cake was replaced with blueberries because few guests did receive strawberry cake. I just think that they should've notified us with this huge change on a very important day. We paid a TON of money and it was not a minor mistake. My husband and I are pretty laid-back people and we would not have had a problem with it if we had known. But the way we found out was so surprising and I feel like not knowing made it worse. That said, the strawberry cake we had hoped was delicious when we tried it.

Our cake and cupcakes were sooooo delicious! There were no cupcakes and barely any cake left by the end of the night! They were so gracious when we were late with our payment and willing to be flexible. They were very professional and I highly recommend them!

OUR WEDDING CAKE WAS AMAZING. They did such a great job on it. We loved it so much. Not only was it delicious it was absolutely PERFECT! I can't thank the bakers enough for their hard work and for making our cake everything we dreamed of. They were wonderful to work with. If you are needing a baker for anything BOOK THEM. I promise they won't disappoint. Thank you!

Kim's Kakery was amazing! Staff were very friendly and their cakes are delicious and moist and very reasonably priced compared to other popular local bakeries. Our cake turned it exactly as we wanted it and we received so many complements on how tasty it was. I only wish our catering vendor hadn't thrown away the remaining cake so I could actually have a piece!

Kim's Kakery saved my wedding day! I actually never met anyone at Kim's because this wasn't my original bakery. My wedding cake made by someone else collapsed three hours before the wedding was supposed to start. The baker said there was nothing they could do, so my wedding venue called Kim's and she said she could make me a new cake within hours. Before I knew it, I had a brand new, beautiful wedding cake at my venue (3 hours later) and they even gave me a discount for it. It was delicious and they even added my wedding colors into it. For a bakery that didn't know me at all, they swooped in and saved the day. I am beyond grateful and I would recommend Kim's to anyone who asked for a bakery recommendation!

Kim's Kakery and Bakery worked with me to get me a great wedding cake (even when I was last minute and set up a meeting only a month before my big day. They had great samples and were clear in walking through costs and options with me. The cake was executed perfectly and looked just like I had hoped. It was also absolutely delicious (We went with traditional almond cake/buttercream). Even though we live 50 minutes away, my mom says she will drive there to get cakes in the future. Only thing to note is that the two meetings I attended began about 20 minutes late, just something to be aware of when scheduling. Otherwise, I completely recommend!

Kim's Kakery makes very delicious cupcakes and cakes. Working with them was fairly easy although it could have been a bit more professional. I plan events at work so I would have liked a printed confirmation of my order with them. I also called the week before the wedding to confirm everything and they needed me to resend the image of my cake because they had lost it. This made me a little nervous, but in the end the cake was beautifully done and the cupcakes were a huge hit.

Scheduled cake tasting, I brought my children along *might not be the norm, but it's our norm.* Kim's team still able to knock the cake tasting out. We enjoyed the cake VERY much pricing was attractive I wasn't pressured into anything that day. I was advise to go and think of what I want more then let's set something up. This alone made me feel though I can trust and value their business. I brought pictures of cake all fondant but I didn't want fondant cakes so she said continue research. Never once said you'll need more or try you upsale anything, explained everything in depth details. I felt I couldn't get back in there soon enough to order and finalize our order, I even brought some wedding party to relax and enjoy cupcakes at the cafe while I did paper work. ** side note they enjoyed the cupcakes very much and left me a bite*

We chose to do mini cupcakes in TEN different flavors and a small cake for cutting and every single flavor was DELICIOUS! We received tons of compliments and our guests had fun trying different flavors! Also, the mini cupcakes are an awesome alternative for a low budget or indecisive bride!! They had so many flavors to choose from! I actually go back there on random days to pick up a dozen minis here and there of whatever flavors they have in the case that day! They're THAT good!

Kim's Kakery, Bakery and Cafe was amazing! We wanted whipped cream icing for one of our options, which very few wedding cake vendors actually do, but also were thrilled with our choice of buttercream icing for our regular cake. Both turned out so yummy and delicious. We received a ton of compliments. Also, Kim's pricing is very reasonable compared to other places that I checked, and she worked out to get us exactly what we wanted. I arrived to see my vision in real-life and was floored and so happy! I chose to use silk flowers to decorate the care and left it pretty classic and simple, and the staff/Kim did an amazing job fulfilling my request and making our cake exactly what we wanted. Couldn't be happier!! Last but not least, the cake tasted really delicious -- not dry or overly sweet.
