Kina is an absolutely amazing photographer. Every time I see her work, I am in awe of what she is able to capture. Right after meeting Kina, my mom and I were so impressed we didn't have to see her work to know she would be the perfect person to photograph my wedding. She is the sweetest person and it was so fun to have her be a part of our day. It's funny when your vendors are such genuine people that you want to have them as your guests too! Kina made sure to organize all shots, including group family photos. My entire family was raving about how amazing she was! She made things so easy and relaxed. I highly recommend Kina, she is so talented!

I am so grateful that we hired Kina to photograph our wedding. Between the engagement photos and wedding photos, I've never felt so beautiful! There are so many amazing moments that she captured for us - I swear, some of her photos are even more stunning than I remember the moment being, ha. Her presence is so reassuring; she's the perfect mix of fun and professional and my whole family was so impressed with her. My husband and I will be coming back to her year after year for family photos!

I loved working with Kina! I interviewed several great photographers and selected Kina for several reasons - I loved the quality of her fine-art style, which is elegant and romantic and flattering to her subjects. I also enjoyed talking with her on the initial interview - she is personable and knowledgeable, and those traits shone through throughout our events. Kina is also a consummate professional, and knows her stuff! We were married in September 2015, on one of the hottest days of the year. Kina and her assistant, Jason, remained cool and collected all day, despite the blazing heat, last-minute location changes, and one grumpy groom. At the ceremony and reception they did an amazing job of appearing to be everywhere at once. They were a pleasure to work with and even goofed around in our photo booth! She publishes helpful hints too - lists of recommended photo shoot spots, and grooming tips for the photo shoots. When our original photo shoot location fell through on our wedding day, she helped us pick another location close by which worked beautifully, and she found a couple of impromptu spots along the way as well - all of which she made feel seamless! Our final pics have not yet arrived, but our engagement pics are amazing - and combined with the "sneak peek" pics we got from the ceremony/reception, I feel confident we will love the results! I appreciate the fact that she shoots both with digital and film - she fashioned herself a utility belt so she could carry multiple cameras at once. Like a superhero! Kina offers a range of packages, and was great about letting us customize. I highly recommend Kina as a photographer! But call her quickly - she books far in advance.

Kina is absolutely the best! It's been 8 months since our wedding and over a year since our engagement session and I still can't stop looking at the amazing pictures Kina created for us. Not only is she artistic, she's also very calming on your big day. One of my bridesmaids said "I could listen to her talk all day- she knows what she's doing and she's so sweet!" I truly felt like Kina wanted to get to know my husband and myself and make our day perfect for us. I would strongly recommend to her any bride and groom!

Kina is an absolute blessing to the photography industry! Her photos really do speak for themselves. Kina is friendly & professional in all aspects of her work. I found Kina through a personal reference (I also have previous modeling experience where I've interacted with many different photographers). Hands down the reason I give Kina 5+ stars is because she uses both film AND digital (a majority of the wedding was shot with film). Shooting with film makes a world difference in the quality of photos because it uses the natural light which results in crisp, superior images compared to a digital camera. My family and friends could not stop raving about how much they enjoyed meeting Kina; then when they saw the photos they were in awe of how beautiful the pictures came out. From the initial email that I sent, Kina responded within 2 hours. Her website is easy to navigate with sample gallery's for your viewing pleasure. One thing (among many) is that Kina is always prompt in replying to emails and phone calls! Her primary focus is to make sure your wedding day perfect, and that starts with understanding your vision. Her attention to detail captured the true essence of our special day. The day of our wedding she arrived early and greeted everyone with a warm smile and cheerful attitude. She immediately began her work, capturing us getting ready along with those candid moments where you're surrounded by your family and wedding party. The photos from the entire wedding: ceremony, portraits and reception all came back flawless. If you're looking for a fun, professional photographer who's focus is to capture the intricate details of your wedding day and make them memorable for the rest of your life, look no further than Kina! Hands down she is the best photographer I have ever worked with and there's no doubt I will be using her in the future! :-)

Selecting Kina as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made throughout the process. When we saw Kina’s photos in our first meeting, we knew we wanted her to capture our wedding. And we are so happy she did! Our photos turned out beautifully. Every time I show my family and friends, they comment how they should be in a bridal magazine. We also love the layout and the photos that she selected for our wedding album. Kina has an incredible eye and creates stunning images. She took our engagement photos at Lincoln Park in Chicago. Even though there were runners going through our pictures and numerous distractions- Kina was focused. She made us feel comfortable, laugh and enjoyed the process. Throughout the entire wedding day Kina made me feel very comfortable, from getting ready in the morning, to the ceremony and reception. She was relaxed and made me feel confident. For our wedding day we gave Kina a list of family and friends we wanted photographed. She was very organized and made sure to capture each photo we requested. I had a number of guests come up to me at the wedding and compliment how wonderful she was. Kina had a way of grabbing guest’s attention, in a gentle and kind way- but ensuring that the photos we needed were captured. I would absolutely recommend Kina Wicks Photography!

One of our friends recommend Kina as a photographer to us. We are beyond happy with our chose as her as a photographer. On the wedding days guests came up to us to compliment how professional the photographer was. She did a great job of capturing the photos, without getting in the way of people's view. She made it appoint to say goodbye to us (bride and groom) and both of our parents. Kina is also very flexible. I changed some of my photo plans last minute, and she was fine with all the adjustments. She even rode the trolley with us, and we got some great shots on the trolley. She has an eye for detail, and captures all of the photos under the correct lighting. For our engagements photos we took our dog along, and she was even great at capturing great photos of her! After receiving our photos, we received even more compliments that the photos were one of the best wedding photos they had ever seen. Two amazing things about Kina Wicks ... One, she has a true ability to make brides look beautiful. I picked Kina as our wedding photographer because I reviewed her prior wedding pictures I saw online, and I noticed how her choice of lighting was extremely flattering to the brides. She did not disappoint! I love both my engagement and wedding pictures that she took! Second, Kina has a kind, fun and energetic personality. I told her that, if we lived in the same city, I would want to have a coffee meeting with her once a week. She's just the kind of person that you naturally count as a friend.

From my first meeting with Kina, I knew that I immediately had to work with her! I should start off by saying I contacted over 60+ photographers and hiring Kina was one of the best decisions I ever made. Kina was an absolute delight to work with, from the very first meeting we had with her up until receiving our wedding album she was very flexible and accommodating. When unexpected twists or turns happened she handled them very well and professionally and in a timely manner. She has a very creative and keen eye for taking beautiful pictures and took into account our requests. She was very prompt and kept in contact after the wedding until all our needs were met. Right after I got engaged, I started looking for photographers. I went through tons and tons of websites, till my friend told me about Kina. I fell in love with her work, and I knew I had to hire her for my wedding! Im kinda of a shy person , and the thought of MY pictures being taken, really intimidated me. There really is nothing to worry about with Kina, she is so so sweet, and easy to talk to, you will feel absolutely comfortable. Did I mention how TALENTED she is?! Our pictures came back, and I was SO impressed. I absolutely love them, and I am SO glad I had such a great photographer. My family and friends are obsessed with our pictures, and cant stop saying how these pictures make you "feel" the emotion. Love, love, love our pictures! I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. I first encountered Kina's work on a friend's Facebook profile. Kina took this couple's engagement pictures. From that moment, I knew Kina was "the one" for us, and my husband agreed :) Even though we looked into other photographers, none of their images had the same quality and emotional depth as Kina's. Meeting with her sealed the deal. You won't meet a sweeter person than her! One thing she mentioned at our face-to-face meeting was that couples usually don't just want pictures of their wedding that capture not only how things look, they want pictures that capture how everything FELT. She definitely delivered in that regard. All of our pictures are just overflowing with emotion. Needless to say, they are beautiful, and we treasure them. In terms of service quality, Kina is a dream to work with. She knows exactly what she is doing, and she is great at giving people direction, too. She was able to elicit just the right looks and emotion from my husband and I; meanwhile, she can also round up and arrange family like a true professional. We wholeheartedly recommend Kina Wicks!

Kina is such a sweet person and we knew immediately after meeting with her that we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. My biggest wish for the wedding was to have a good photographer so I looked high and low to find the right one, and Kina was the total package. She is a very kind person and is really easy to work with. Our engagement session was the first time either of us had been photographed in public and she did a great job of making us feel comfortable and really just focus on each other. She is very organized and has a great eye for beauty - it takes a special person to be able to capture special moments and not just shots and she does an amazing job of that. Kina is also really good at setting up photos and hurrying the process along without ever appearing bossy - if you ask me, that is pretty hard to do. She is also very punctual and got both our engagement and wedding pictures to us before we were told we would get them. Working with Kina was the best and easiest decision that we made in our wedding planning process and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Have you ever met someone and instantly knew you would get along? That's how we felt with Kina. She is incredibly calm and sweet and amazingly creative. Both my husband and I felt at ease in her presence and were excited about her portfolio. To us, it was very important to have a photographer that was capable of capturing memories verses posing for opportunities. Kina never disappointed us. Our engagement session as well as our wedding pictures were truly beautiful and this is coming for a couple that would not consider themselves photogenic. We can't wait to print our pictures, show our friends, and put them on our walls. I will always recommend Kina to friends and family and anyone else who is looking for a photographer.

Right when I saw Kina's work I fell in love and I knew that I wanted her as my wedding photographer without even talking to her. My husband was a little hesitant at first but within five minutes of talking to Kina at our first meeting he was hooked. She did an awesome job with our engagment pictures. She is very flexible and pays so much attention to detail which makes your pictures even more special. I knew whatever pictures she took that they would be beautiful. I am anxiously waiting to see the rest of our wedding pictures, but from the previews I've seen already they are going to be better than I could imagine them to be. It rained the day of my wedding, but in spite of the gray skies and wet ground, Kina rose to the occasion and got some amazing outdoor shots. I was so pleased with her service and would recommend her to anyone!
