Not everyone is familiar with how queer, religiously observant Jewish couples may choose to celebrate and complete their union, but Mari was incredibly open-minded, respectful, and willing to learn. She worked closely with our wishes and the guidance of our rabbi, making sure that every detail of our ceremony was handled with care. She even took the time to make sure the Hebrew terminology and blessings we used were worded and pronounced appropriately. Mari also went above and beyond in helping us prepare our joint vows and organize the flow of the ceremony; from greeting our guests, to the ceremony itself, to the transition into our reception. What was technically a micro, intimate wedding ended up feeling incredibly meaningful and joyful. Every single guest commented on how special the ceremony felt, and so much of that was thanks to Mari. She was also extremely knowledgeable about the legal requirements for marriage in Georgia and made the entire process incredibly easy for us, including the affordability of her services. She was wonderfully responsive and even personally delivered our completed marriage certificate back to us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Most importantly, we never felt judged. We felt heard, respected, and genuinely supported. Even though our particular ceremony was a completely new experience for Mari, she approached it with curiosity and enthusiasm and made sure that nothing was overlooked. She was willing to learn about our traditions, incorporate our rabbi's guidance, and make sure our ceremony reflected who we are as a couple. I cannot recommend Mari highly enough to anyone looking for someone to officiate a wedding, elopement, or engagement ceremony. She is kind, attentive, knowledgeable, flexible, and simply wonderful to work with. We are so grateful that she helped us begin our marriage in such a beautiful and meaningful way! Thanks KHN!
