She was always available to answer my questions, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and caring. She made me feel like our wedding truly mattered to her, and that means so much. Even after the wedding, I realized I had lost my wedding shoes, and they went above and beyond to help locate them. The fact that they were able to find my shoes afterward just showed me again how caring and helpful this entire team is. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue where you truly get your money’s worth AND are treated with kindness and respect, King Cole Farms is the place to go. King Cole Farm is a historic farm that has been owned and operated by the same family for multiple generations. The venue, which is nestled on a property spanning 500 idyllic acres, features multiple event spaces that have been renovated for special occasions. These include the Main House and the Pole Barn. The Courtyard and garden area can also be used for weddings and related celebrations. In addition to hosting events, the venue offers overnight accommodation in the Main House. Here, there is a kitchen, dining space, and a living room, providing you and your loved ones plenty of opportunities to enjoy each other's company. The Pole Barn's 9,400 square feet is air conditioned and heated and can accommodate 250 seated or 500 cocktail-style. My husband Jim and I owned and operated the Francis Scott Key Family Resort until March of 2020. We are proud that we two times were named a top 25 Family Resort in the USA by TripAdvisor for our hotel. We are excited for the next chapter which is King Cole Farm. The beautiful residence was the home of my in laws, Chet and Sally Dickerson, who lived their retirement years here on the 500+ acre farm. It was their dream that the farm stay with the family, as it was Sally's parents farm. We are excited that many new memories will be made here!

Choosing KCF as our wedding venue was beyond worth it! Not only did we get an incredibly beautiful and functional space for our wedding ceremony, reception, and getting ready, but ...

we also had accommodations for the whole weekend on site and places for family & friends to stay close by at The Retreat cottages. One of the biggest advantages of King Cole Farm was the fact that we could do a weekend wedding package, the amount of furniture and amenities provided, flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, and incredibly professional staff and service. They had wedding ceremony indoor and outdoor options, so that weather wouldn’t be an issue, ample space so we didn’t have to cut down our guest list, great relationships with vendors in our price range, and the most amazing house and groomsmen’s lodge for our bridal party to enjoy beforehand. Plus, on a budget, it was so easy to decorate minimally or to go all out, and still have all the spaces look beautiful because of the stunning farmhouse tables, wooden bar options, etc. Annemarie, Rachel, and the whole team are incredibly thorough in their communication, vendor recommendations, pre-event planning, and the resources they provide to make your event seamless. Having access to Aisle Planner was huge for our ability to stay organized, and we truly couldn't have been successful without their guidance and recommendations on bartenders, day-of coordinator, scheduling, and more. My husband and I cannot think of anything that went "wrong" during our wedding, and we know that credit is due to them! Annemarie and the team have been so thoughtful and intentional in their offerings to go above and beyond a venue space, making sure you have everything you need and then some. When we were considering our options, it was a no-brainer to choose them, and they continued to prove that to us time and time again. We are super grateful for King Cole Farm and the team, and we are so glad we chose them for our wedding!

We felt like we could breathe by living in the farmhouse for the weekend and not rushing in and out. Secondly, the staff is very responsive to emails/texts/phone calls both before the big day and on the weekend-of. My HMUA thought they blew a fuse on the morning of the wedding and the owners came over within 10 mins of a text! The whole staff is friendly and kind, helping with all of our questions and concerns. We felt comfortable chatting with them and never had to worry about asking a “dumb questions.” Lastly, the venue is absolutely beautiful! There outdoor site has a stunning backdrop of the pond and in the spring, the greenery and flowers enhance the moment. The pole barn is spacious for a reception and meshes modern with rustic so beautifully! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue and staff for our wedding day, we loved every moment of our time at King Cole Farm!!

ell. My now husband and I toured this venue two years ago after one of my coworkers had booked here and suggested it. It was the first and only location we looked at because as soon as we toured the place, we looked at each other and said, "yeah this is it". We didn't want a formal ballroom style wedding, but we aren't the super rustic farm style wedding people either. This location was perfect. It had the casual feel of a farm wedding (as it's an actual working farm still), while still feeling elevated and formal. It was an added bonus that not only is there a house on the property that is included, but that you get the venue for the entire weekend. This allowed us a space for our rehearsal dinner, rooms for family to stay in, somewhere for the bridal party to all get ready in the morning, and a convenient central location for all of our things. This also offered peace of mind to us as we brought our 5 month old daughter with us. I felt so much more at ease at the reception knowing she was right across the parking lot in the house if she needed anything. To add to this, the addition of The Retreat on their property was amazing as well! We had our bridal party and a few close friends rent out the cabins for the weekend so everyone was close by, and that even gave us a solution to bringing our dogs as they were allowed there! Lucky for us, the Garden Room was finished just as we arrived and not a second too soon as it poured all weekend. This new building was a beautiful space to host our ceremony inside out of the weather. The pole barn for the reception is gorgeous and incredibly spacious. It also provides an area for the groomsmen to hang while the girls get ready in the morning. We unfortunately couldn't make use of the space with the weather, but outside of the pole barn there is a perfect grassy area with fire pits and corn hole that would be perfect when it's nice out. There are so many details that King Cole covered that I simply don't have the time to type it all out. There were so many personal touches that really added on to an incredible weekend. The owners, Annemarie and Jim, were simply amazing. It is evident that they truly love what they get to provide for others. This was another factor my husband and I mentioned when choosing this venue. We never once felt like we were being sold anything or pressured during our tour. We could tell how much passion there was and we felt lucky to have found such a space. Annemarie and Jim continually went above and beyond for us, including personally lending hands to ensure the Garden Room was complete the day before our wedding. They were incredibly accommodating and simply incredibly pleasant people. Rachel and Emma were also so helpful between additional tours, a multitude of questions over text, and day of coordination. While our wedding weekend was some of the worst weather of the year so far, the King Cole Farm team ensured we had the absolute best time. If I could get married again, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you thank you thank you Annemarie, Jim, Rachel and Emma!!!

The guys loved having their own space to hang out in before the big day. y husband! When he saw the place we both immediately knew that it was where we wanted to get married. When booking the venue, it was not yet completed and I had all the faith in Annemarie and Jim that it would be as spectacular as the blueprints… AND IT WAS! When the big day arrived, Annemarie and Jim were were nothing short of wonderful - the place was beautiful and they were so accommodating to our weekend full of events. We wanted to do something different then the normal wedding weekend, with having a welcome party on Friday night and even having the rehearsal dinner on sight, followed by a breakfast the morning after our wedding. They fogged the place for bugs numerous times leading up to the big day, and made sure the place perfect. With all of the moving parts, Annemarie and Jim were so helpful the entire weekend. Everyone tells you to be prepared, that things will not always go your way, Annemarie and Jim ensure that your day runs as smoothly as possible and I truly cannot thank them enough for all of the behind the scenes work that they did to make sure our day ran smoothly. They did an amazing job of making sure everything was ready when we arrived, but also worked with us to make the event space ours and unique to what we wanted. With the polar barn being a blank slate, you really have the opportunity to make it yours! Knowing that we had a band coming in, KCF even made sure they hired an electrician to make sure they had enough support to host the band, as well as sound proofing the ceiling. They just went above and beyond in everything, and were very organized from the start! They also allowed us to stay in the house, which was incredible to have both families in there leading up to the wedding. It is clean, beautiful and was a great way to spend time as a family before the wedding and of course, solo on our wedding night! We couldn’t be more recommending of King Cole Farm, Annemarie, and Jim. I think overall yes, their venue is amazing, yes, they are extremely organized and communicate exceptionally well, BUT more importantly, they are incredibly nice and genuine people. We felt like we had known them for our entire lives and you could feel that they were invested in our wedding, just as much as we were. I feel like nowadays in the wedding industry, you don’t necessarily get that, but with Jim and Annemarie, they make you feel that from the moment you step foot on their beautiful 500 acre farm. That is what makes this place so special, the family bond they create with the bride and groom and of course, their families and guests. I would like to also give a special shout-out to our Band, Goody Blue Shoes Band, as well as our wonderful photographer, Chelsea Fluharty Photography and our officiant, Tom Robinson. Our day would not have been possible without the help of those that were behind the scenes. All in all, if you’re trying to make a decision to go with King Cole Farm, stop thinking and book. You will not find a sight that cares for you like King Cole does. From the rich history of the farm, the stunning views and the wonderful owners, you will not be disappointed. The owners left out not a single detail when building. Everything was thought of and it shows. They are incredibly accommodating, very responsive, and truly care about your day. You can’t find an experience like this anywhere else. From the accommodations in the renovated home to the venue itself and everything in between you will be blown away as will your guests. Our wedding weekend was absolutely seamless from the moment we pulled into the driveway Friday morning to our way home on Sunday, which is a loaded statement coming from a type A bride. To start, weather is always one of the biggest challenges, but we were more than happy with both the indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, which calmed my nerves tremendously. Second, the venue, house, and grounds were all immaculate. This provided us with endless photo opportunities. The cocktail and reception space is a bride’s dream. Being able to utilize both the backyard and the sun room for cocktail hour provided a more casual setting leading up to the reception, which is exactly the vibe we were looking for. The main room of the pole barn nearly takes your breath away, it’s that beautiful. The farmhouse style tables with the massive chandelier provide the most perfect rustic, yet elegant, atmosphere which was right up our alley. Our caterers also raved about how nice the full commercial kitchen was. I could go on forever about how amazing everything was, but truly, we give King Cole Farm full credit for making the wedding of our dreams become a reality.
