Every great party starts with a space that sets the tone and King Mansion brings the vibe. Begin your day in our sun-drenched Salon + Sitting Room, a glam, get-ready haven featuring five hair and makeup stations, a full-length mirror, fireplace, lounge seating, mini fridge, and oversized windows that make the whole space glow. Across the mansion, the Den + Billiard Room delivers a moody, luxe retreat with leather seating, a classic pool table, and a flat screen TV.
Say "I do" your way, indoors, outdoors, on the front lawn, or tucked inside the elegant foyer. With multiple ceremony backdrops, it’s all about your vision. After the vows, guests can sip and socialize across the mansion’s first floor, balconies, open-air piazza, and mezzanine during cocktail hour.
When it’s time to dine and dance, everyone transitions into our show-stopping Conservatory Ballroom. Think: floor-to-ceiling windows, dreamy string lights, dramatic chandeliers, polished concrete floors, modern sconces, crown molding for days, and a smoky mirror accent wall that delivers just the right dose of drama. I ran my own planning business for years, but the moment I saw the mansion, it was love at first sight. The historic charm, the river views, the potential? Irresistible.
Now as Venue Director, I bring a planner’s edge to the venue world, because I know what it’s like to be in the thick of wedding chaos. My goal? To make King Mansion the kind of place where couples feel seen, supported, and actually excited about planning. Staff were very professional throughout the entire wedding planning process and the venue provided helpful online organization to make sure things ran smoothly. , helpful in advice, and became the ultimate hype woman. She asked us questions we hadn't thought of, and it help us round out all the details of our day. She allowed us multiple tours and extra visits to help us make sure we could create our vision.
Then, of course, the space itself is phenomenal. We had approximately 80 guests, and there was more than enough room to roam around. Our guests had time to explore the mansions many rooms and balconies, and when they needed a break from dancing, they had many options of where to go take a breather. For our guests who aren't big dancers, the venue had many lounge areas away from the music where they could have conversations and mingle with others! The bridal suite fit myself, my 7 bridesmaids, 2 sisters, a makeup artist, 2 photographers, and my mom with ease. The grooms suite is also very cool and allowed the guys to relax before the event began!
My husband and I also decided to book one of the upstairs suites for our wedding night so that when the party ended, we could just go straight up to our room! It was the perfect getaway for post-ceremony rest, and post-dance-party sleep. My only regret is not getting two nights!
All in all, I will recommend King Mansion to any and all future weddings and events. I really hope I get to come back and attend another event at this beautiful venue. Thank you Kaitlin for helping us create our dream day!

nty of space for our 100-person wedding. We felt we had plenty of places for amazing pictures and that it really catered to the elegant experience we were aiming for. The only thing that would make the venue better is if they had a sound system throughout the venue. The only other thing to note is that they don't have a general fridge for you to use unless you book a room upstairs which has a full-size fridge. That made things a little difficult day-of with our cake and everything but they were accommodating and helped us find a solution.

Every inch of this venue is gorgeous and also very functional (i.e. wonderful getting ready spaces for the guys and girls). Additionally, having the JDK team on board was a huge reason why everything went as flawlessly as it did on our wedding day. They are true professionals who are just simply great at what they do. A couple of months before my wedding, my coordinator Julianna left to pursue career opportunities in NYC and Alyssa took over so seamlessly and was a joy to work with! The food was also one of the most talked about aspects of our wedding and the wait staff was amazing and so courteous. I would highly recommend having your wedding at King Mansion and I would gladly work with JDK again and again.

There are multiple sitting rooms at the front of the mansion, that allowed our guests to spread out during cocktail hour and provided spaces for guests to chat while the DJ played during the reception. We especially appreciated the packed up leftovers the JDK Group provided at the end of the night, which allowed us to just relax and not have to worry about meals the next day. The venue itself is so romantic and provides a lot of different opportunities for great photos. We loved that there is a lot of seating and different spaces within the mansion for our guests to mingle. JDK set up bar tables and the most beautiful displays which added to the atmosphere of our beautiful day. Our guests also raved about the food, and we loved the amount of options that were available to choose from!

which guests see as soon as they walk through the door, to the bride’s suite, groom’s room, parlor, and main ballroom. The interior of the mansion is the perfect blend of classic and contemporary—it has a high-end, timeless style, but also a casual, intimate feel. The outside of the mansion is also stunning, with wonderful photo opportunities on majestic second-story balconies and terraces overlooking the Susquehanna River! I frequently attend events at the finest venues in Washington, DC, and King Mansion can compete with any of them! King Mansion has taken weddings in Harrisburg and Central PA to a whole new level, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

n. We toured the mansion and fell in love with every room as well as the balconies and outside. The church assured us we would not have a problem but I could not get the mansion out of my mind. We were able to reserve the mansion for photos before and after the ceremony and the photos are amazing. Jaime was there when we got there and a bridesmaids zipper had broken on the limo bus. She mediately said I have needle and thread and fixed it immediately. She got the men's Boutineers on moves furniture and was quite frankly a Godsend! If you are looking for something boujee or a step up this is the place!

early on that we wanted a cocktail style wedding where our family & friends could mingle while enjoying their food & drink. The mansion has a designated caterer/event coordination, the JDK Group. They executed our cocktail style wedding that included several food stations (for example: pierogi station, hanging pretzel wall, slider station, charcuterie & cheese board), his & her drinks and ensured the flow of the event was seamless and interesting. We had wanted a venue with multiple rooms & options to flow throughout as well as an indoor/outdoor option. The mansion provides a designated reception space but also allows the guests to move throughout the sitting rooms and outside on the porch. Our wedding was to be an outdoor wedding on the lawn, but it had rained that day, so our ceremony was moved indoors, and the set-up was beautiful and intimate. The mansion also lends itself as a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos that also includes views and photo opportunities of the Susquehanna River. The 1920’s, recently renovated mansion was everything that we had wanted in the venue for our wedding.

It is recently renovated and absolutely gorgeous! Just take a chance and check it out; you will not be disappointed! We worked with Molly who was very knowledgeable on general questions we had during the wedding planning. JDK is the caterer and their food is the best (we still get compliments from guests to this day). Seriously such a perfect day!! Highly recommend to everyone!

reason we did not choose it was the lack of on site accommodations. However, the venue is absolutely gorgeous and has beautiful spots for pictures. Molly was the main attraction for us though! This location was the first tour we did and she spent as much time with us as we needed answering all of our questions and giving us every detail of the venue. She sat with us and got to know us as a couple which made the entire experience so much more personal, and it was something none of the other venues did. We had so much confidence that she'd be able to help us plan the perfect wedding day and it was clear she was willing to go above and beyond. Definitely wish we could take her along to the venue we ended up choosing!

making our entire wedding picture perfect. We wanted our guests to have a stress free and relaxing evening, with minimal travel, so we were able to have the ceremony on the front lawn, cocktail hour inside the mansion and the reception in a tent on the other side of the lawn. Michelle was extremely helpful in the entire planning process and assisted us during our rehearsal as well as the day of the wedding, going above and beyond, even cueing the bridal party. The Mansion was spotless and the bridal suite was stunning! Our pictures from the balcony were beautiful! I was slightly concerned about the noise from front street, but it wasn't an issue. Our DJ (mixed up productions) provided a microphone. I am sooo thrilled with our wedding at the Historic King Mansion!!!
