Your wedding is an important day in your life and planning ahead is essential therefore, we have created an advanced website to help you plan for your wedding day. We meet with our clients before their events to help customize our services around their vision. King Studios is licensed and insured to give you peace of mind. Each year we DJ over 70 weddings in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Lexington. We had an AMAZING experience with King Studios and Patrick as our wedding DJ. Our wedding was at Wintergreen resort, the ceremony location required a sound system with its own power source, which King Studios was able to accommodate. We had unexpected rain during the ceremony and had to move the reception inside, Patrick was able to easily shift everything indoors with no hesitation. I appreciated the conference call the week before to finalize all the details and help pick out some of the last minute songs. Patrick did an awesome job with all of the events of the wedding day and once the dance floor opened he had everyone dancing the entire night! It was one of the best wedding DJs I have have ever experienced! It was perfect and I couldn't thank Patrick and Kings Studios enough! 10/10 recommend!

Nathan did a fantastic job with our wedding. We highly recommend Nathan and King Studios for your event. Nathan worked with us to construct our request list, gave suggestions for music during different parts of the night, and managed the audio for our ceremony flawlessly. The dance floor stayed full the whole time and many guests told us how impressed they were with the DJ. He was also extremely professional and efficient in the lead up to the event. You can't go wrong with Nathan and King Studios.

We highly recommend King Studios for your wedding! Our King Studios DJ for our wedding this past weekend was Sam, and he was phenomenal! I've been to so many weddings where the audio was glitchy during the ceremony meaning guests couldn't hear the vows. Sam coordinated our ceremony audio seamlessly. My fiance and I had a good idea of the kind of music we wanted for the ceremony and reception but were at a bit of a loss for what music to play for the cocktail hour and dinner. Nathan, the person we coordinated with prior to wedding day, was incredibly helpful and aided us in making these decisions. We were also anxious about our first dance and the length of our song, and our DJ worked to shorten the song in a seamless fashion. On wedding day, the music at the reception was amazing! Sam played all of our must haves and avoided our no-play list songs. He also coordinated with us in advance to confirm if we would allow guests to make requests. Our guests stayed on the dancefloor all night! Sam even coordinated with my Uncle, who performed a special song for us at the reception! The only thing I would note is that King Studios wasn't always the most responsive during the planning process. We sometimes had to send a follow up email to get a response, but we did ALWAYS get a response. They also became more responsive the closer we got to our wedding date. We highly recommend King Studios, and DJ Sam specifically, to anyone planning their wedding!

If you want a fun dance floor at your wedding/event, hire King Studios. Every musical cue at our wedding was executed perfectly, and when the dance floor opened, I don’t think any of our friends sat down for the rest of the night. We definitely wanted a party (I believe our exact words were “college bar 2011-2016”) and Kyle delivered 100%. Everyone had so much fun and we really appreciated how thoughtful the whole King Studios team was throughout the planning process. They are professional, responsive, and so reasonably priced for the quality of their services. Would absolutely recommend!

We are so incredibly happy that we chose King Studios DJ for our wedding!! Nathan was our DJ and he was absolutely amazing! He incorporated all of our requests and had everyone dancing the entire night! They have wonderful online planning forms and set up a conference call with you to discuss all the details. They also offer additional uplighting which added the perfect touch to our venue! We would HIGHLY recommend using King Studios DJ for your wedding day!!

We highly recommend King Studios! I really appreciated their organization - the planning forms that you fill out with your DJ prior to the event are well thought out and super detailed. Nathan was our DJ and totally killed it! He absolutely nailed the lighting, did a great job with any announcements, and kept the dance floor full the whole night.

King Studios is a great choice for any event! We used them for our wedding reception and they did an amazing job! Our DJ was Kyle Grogg -- he did an amazing job reading our crowd and playing what he felt was best for our guests. He did a great job announcing everything we needed him to and adapting to change. A lot of our guests have told us that our wedding reception had the best dance music over any other wedding they have been to and that is all thanks to King Studios and Kyle!

We hired King Studios for our DJ for our wedding in Afton, Virginia. From our first contact, Nathan was extremely helpful and made us feel so comfortable. The forms needed to complete on their site to help with planning are easy to navigate and thorough. Nathan made sure our day went perfectly, and helped us with last minute changes! I didn't leave the dance floor all night - it was perfect! Would highly recommend to anyone needing DJ services!!

We full-heartedly recommend King Studios DJ!! They were incredible to work with from the very start and made our planning much easier. They had multiple planning calls with us and provided forms to collect our preferences, along with long playlists with suggestions for each song we had to choose for our big day (e.g., song to walk down the aisle to, song for parents dances, songs for ceremony recessional, etc.). Our DJ, Sam, did an amazing job at our wedding! Our dance floor was packed during the entire reception and Sam played a good mix of popular music and oldies, just like we wanted. Sam made sure that everything ran smoothly, from our pre-ceremony and ceremony music, to our first dances, to the reception and all of the announcements and transitions in between. Book King Studios DJ!

King Studios was so incredible to work with. They had extensive planning forms to fill out so that every possible wedding detail would be covered and prepared for. They also have a phone call about a week before the wedding to go over all of the details to make sure everyone is on the same page. We had Kyle as our DJ and he did a spectacular job. He hit all of our plans perfectly and the song selection for the reception was spot on. We had a dance heavy crowd and they were thrilled to hear the music he played. The sound system for our ceremony was perfect. We also decided to go with the uplighting which was a really special addition to the venue we selected. Overall, they were amazing to work with and made our day really special!

Best DJ I've ever experienced! If you want someone who keeps it classy and executes your wedding reception with flawless balance - these are the folks to hire. They keep the crowd engaged but without any cheesy or over-the-top elements, listen well and take your cues, and just seamlessly incorporate themselves into your day without any stress or burden. Such an awesome experience working with them, our guests loved the music, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We hired King Studios to do our mics for the ceremony and DJ our reception (they will also do ceremony and cocktail hour music if you want). We ended up working with Nathan King and he was awesome. They have great planning forms online and he meets with you to plan out everything before the wedding. I have seen some horrible Djs at other weddings but he did an outstanding job. He even met with the whole bridal party prior to us walking in to make sure he knew how to say everyone’s name right etc. I did work on making a playlist with him but he felt out the crowd and played music that got everyone up and dancing. All my guest commented on how great he was.

I would 100% recommend King Studios. Planning with Nathan was so easy. He was great at communicating and you can tell he has a lot of experience. Their online forms were easy to use and so helpful, they have everything you need and they know every question to ask. We had Gordon DJ our wedding and he did a fantastic job! He checked in with us periodically to make sure we were ready before moving on to the next event. He quickly adapted to several small changes we made throughout the night and he had everyone out on the dance floor until the very end. Gordon really made our wedding a blast. King Studios was sooo fun to work with. Sam was onsite for our ceremony and reception and we received so many compliments on both. Our guests loved the prelude music Sam selected and every song during the reception had us all rushing to the dance floor. Our ceremony had several points where music was to be played and mics shut off, etc. and Same nailed it. It was perfect and everything I hoped it would be. Nathan was so organized beforehand and was on top of everything we requested!

King Studios is a great DJ. He kept the party going at our wedding! All the events, like toasts and entrances, went off without a hitch thanks to Nathan! My only regret is not expanding my do not play list, which he honored (I just ran out of time to add songs to it so I heard a few cheesy dance songs I forgot to add—all me tho, not Nathan—moral of this story is make sure you fill out your do not play list). He was able to obtain somewhat obscure requested songs for the special dances and played my pre-ceremony playlist that I had come up with. He is a great listener and can make your wedding vision come to life!

We have nothing but great things to say about King Studios. They made our wedding at Wintergreen Resort perfect. Their prices are great, the customer service was impeccable and working with them made our wedding even better. Nathan worked with us prior to the wedding to finalize all of the details and he helped to alleviate all of the worries that we had. Our ceremony, reception, and dinner were all in different places, so we were stressing about how it would all come together. On the day of the wedding, Gordon arrived and made it all look easy and seamless. He helped work with us through a surprise speech and then kept the energy up on the dance floor throughout the night. I love that they offer Must Play, Would like to Play and Do Not Play lists. Gordon adhered to them throughout so I didn't have to hear Despacito. It really felt like being in a club where they only play all of my favorite music. I don't think the dance floor was ever empty. They also worked with us on the custom songs that we wanted to play, which were not on their list. Overall, it was a terrific experience. Do yourself a favor and go with King Studios.

I was impressed with King Studios from start to finish. Nathan was incredibly professional and kind through planning, and Sam did a wonderful job at our wedding reception! Picking songs and planning the timeline was a breeze with their well-thought-out online system. Sam was able to read the room well, and our guests had a blast dancing the night away! Highly recommend!

Nathan King was a fantastic DJ! I've never been to a wedding with more people on the dance floor. He was able to take our suggestions and add in perfect additions that got people of all ages dancing. He made sure the flow of the evening worked and everyone had a great time. He was an absolute delight to work with and we highly recommend him.

Gordon was THE best DJ for our day! What I loved about King Studios is that everything was super easy & interactive online. You can create your own playlists of must plays (and especially, the do not plays) and it took a lot of the stress out of timeline and necessities. Up until the day before, my groom was changing ceremony music and Gordon & Nathan took it in stride and made sure all necessary items were on location and the whole day was perfect. Gordon was even taking requests from my 6 year old niece like a champ. He was a phenomenal addition to a stellar vendor team and we couldn't be more thankful. I've given this company's name out to friends & brides already and I hope others have the opportunity to utilize them as well!

King Studios was amazing! Nathan (the owner) was always very friendly and prompt in our email and phone conversations. Gordon DJ'd our wedding and was awesome! He interacted so well with all of the guests. He even helped our ceremony musician with his equipment and moving it around due to changes caused by the weather. Gordon was the one who went over the timeline again with my husband and I after the ceremony, which was extremely helpful! Despite playing the wrong song for our first dance and not playing all of our "must play" songs, Gordon did an incredible job. He was able to keep the dance floor filled with his careful selection of songs and fun personality. Everyone was having so much fun at the end of the night that we got him to stay another hour. We would definitely recommend King Studios to DJ your event!

Great Experience working with Nathan and his team throughout the entire planning process from start to finish. Very friendly and responsive and answered all of my questions. Timeline, playlist builder and planning forms online they provide were extremely helpful and simplified the planning process. Onsite, Gordon was very professional, friendly and accommodating. He was very flexible anytime a change came up and was great at keeping the party going. We would highly recommend King Studio's services!

Nathan with King studios provided us with an unforgettable night for our wedding ceremony and reception. His professionalism and mic presence is stellar and he is worth every penny. He is able to keep the reception on time and moving and kept our guests dancing until the last minute of our reception. He has great lighting effects and a wonderful website that allows all the music to be picked out for every event at the reception. If you are looking for a top of the line DJ this is the vendor you need.

Nathan King served as our DJ, master of ceremonies, and also provided all of the ceremony music for our wedding. I picked out all of the songs I wanted for our wedding and he had all of those selections. The reception music was great too. He played a lot of the older songs in the beginning because he knows that the older crowd likes those but won't stay as long as the younger folks. He was a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced. My husband and I were both pleased!!
