Phenomenal venue, location, and time! Kate and her entire crew were so helpful and thoughtful right from the moment we booked the venue! Dan and I feel so special to be a part of the story of this venue! We used all 3 houses on site which gave so many of our loved ones a peace of mind being able to stay right on site! Our wedding reception ran up to basically the strike of midnight, which is unheard of for weddings. Usually places end things way earlier in the night, but not here, it was a blast! Overall if you're looking for a beautiful, quiet, getaway wedding, don't miss out with King's Hill. It was our first wedding venue that we looked at and we made sure it was our only one.
Overall fantastic! Communication was good, great professional and personable staff, very helpful both before and during the weekend. Property is beautiful and lodging was great.
Kings Hill and their staff are absolutely amazing. Attentive, caring and wonderful. Our wedding was magical. Their property is beyond stunning and being able to stay on site for 4 days with our loved ones was a dream come true. Morgan, Kate, Liz…thank you. As crazy and hectic as designing and planning a wedding is-they did everything they could to make it easier on us. We are so incredibly grateful for our experience there and highly recommend choosing this venue for any budding brides and grooms. A million thank yous KHI&B!!!
Nancy, Kate, and the team at King's Hill Inn & Barn, were wonderful hosts for our October wedding in Maine. Do yourself a favor and swing for the full weekend experience - as it was by far the best part about our wedding. We had our family, closest friends, and wedding party all together on the property from Thursday - Sunday to spend time, prepare, and celebrate together. We all got to enjoy the property and the stunning fall foliage together and build amazing memories. Nancy and her team took great care of us, dealing with mud and rain and power outages in the days leading up to the wedding, and they were able to reassure us with a smile and kind words whenever things got stressful. Luckily the weather turned around for the wedding day and they helped us with some creative solutions to stick to our original plan for the day. The property is amazing and they make sure it is beautifully maintained. King's Hill was the perfect place to host our celebration.
I really can't say enough about King's Hill Inn. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew it was the place we had to get married. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and well-kept. The ceremony site in the woods is what sold us. It's an absolutely magical place to get married. The barn was perfect for our laid-back outdoorsy style and the grounds were great for guests to explore and walk around. We loved staying in the inn with our wedding party and using the getting ready rooms. The breakfasts Nancy made each morning for us were so delicious! No detail was left untouched. Kate was instrumental in answering my million questions about our day and helping to make sure I felt like everything was in good hands. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience!
We loved having our wedding at King’s Hill Inn! The Michaud-Millett family made our guests and us feel truly at home. We had the barn and inn from Thursday to Sunday which allowed for a wedding weekend we will never forget. On wedding day when we had an issue with a vendor, the King’s Hill team went above and beyond to find a solution. King’s Hill Inn will forever hold a place in our hearts.
The staff at King's Hill went above and beyond to make our wedding day the best day of our lives! Leading up to the wedding they allowed us to visit the site multiple times before the wedding to answer last minute questions about planning and decorating for the day of and quickly answered any questions we had over phone or email. They are professional, kind and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a beautiful & fun wedding in Maine!
They are amazing! I had the best day ever!
King’s Hill Inn was the best! So accommodating, flexible and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning progress. Day of thehy helped us set up, break down and do everything in between. Hands down I would highly recommend!
Literally the nicest people to work with and such a wonderful venue with so many things included! It was a pleasure to be there and I look forward to attending a friend’s wedding at King’s Hill Inn & Barn next year!
Tried several times to set up a tour, unsuccessful. Moving on
Was such a beautiful place , with amazing owners that helped in every way ,to make my day special , my wedding day was everything I could have ever asked for . I would recommend. ,King's hill inn and barn to everyone wanting a real enjoyable wedding experience, ,
Our fall wedding at the King’s Hill Inn and Barn was the most amazing weekend of our life. The gorgeous foliage-filled grounds and the rustic barn made for an incredibly beautiful event. There are stunning views from anywhere on the expansive property. The barn is absolutely breathtaking and was an intimate place of warmth and joy all throughout the evening. The Michaud family helped make everything perfect and is simply the best to work with. We recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a magical and authentic Maine location to celebrate their marriage. It is truly a gem and the owners couldn’t have been any more awesome, kind, and welcoming.
Last month my fiance, Brad and I were married at King's Hill Inn. We could not have envisioned a more perfect spot for our rustic, Maine wedding! Our hosts, Janice and Glenn were so hospitable and treated us just like family. Not only did they provide a beautiful location, but they were able to answer many questions we had about other details, such as catering, linens, decorating ideas and logistics.
The grounds are goregeous and immaculately landscaped and the beautifully restored barn was the perfect location for our reception (and also provided a back-up ceremony location in case of inclement weather, which thankfully, we didn't need to use- our Columbus weekend wedding was filled with sunshine and blue skies!)
We would highly recommend them to anyone!
My wife and I got married on 8/1/14 at King's Hill Inn and the only way I can describe it is magical. Janice and Glenn, the innkeepers, took wonderful care of us and our friends and family.
The food was delicious and abundant...They even made traditional wedding cookies for us!
They set up the chapel exactly the way we wanted it and kept it spotless even after our rehearsal when we tracked in wet grass onto the floor.
They connected us with a minister, a flower person, a photographer and told us a great place for the wedding reception.
They gave us a list of great restaurants in the are and places to go to have fun.
They were accommodating in every way but more than that, they were loving and kind. Really it couldn't have been better. We both felt so at home.
The grounds were entirely amazing. The garden is enormous and obviously professionally designed and tended. It was heavenly.
The inn was very comfortable and our room was decorated perfectly for a wedding couple, with all the details...especially the sitting area for the bride.
We will always have the most wonderful memories of this blessed occasion and are deeply grateful to Janice and Glenn.
If you are looking for an incredible barn venue that will treat the bride, groom and the entire family as if they were part of your family this is the venue for you. We were supported throughout the entire process by the owners of the inn in anything we needed. They were quick to answer any questions we proposed with great support and enthusiasm. The day of the wedding they made sure all parts of the facility and grounds were detailed to perfection. They offered a military discount because the groom is in the Air Force. Overall 5 star service and facility. We highly recommend that you call Janice and Glen and allow them to help facilitate your perfect day.
First of all, that's me in their profile picture on here with my husband!
I had my wedding here at King's Hill Inn on May 25th, 2014. I cannot say ENOUGH good things about the Inn's beauty as well as the graciousness, helpfulness, kindness, and more, of Janice and Glenn, owners of the venue.
Janice and Glenn decided to completely renovate their 100 year-old barn (from not having a floor and full of antiques the day we saw it, to something absolutely spectacular with chandeliers and a huge fireplace, 4 months later!), to use as an added venue to their gorgeous Inn. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. With that, my husband and I were the first couple to get married in their new barn!
First of all, Janice made me feel exceptionally special. The first day we went to look at the Inn, she called to tell me she had made me wedding cookies to help celebrate! She offered Ryan and I coffee and tea, while we ate cookies and looked the venue over (who else will do that for you? I mean really).
The owners went to every expense to make sure their gardens were all in place in time for our wedding... Getting married in May in Maine, that in itself is a 50/50 gamble, but they actually brought people in to MAKE the gardens gorgeous, planting flowers in time for our day. The gardens were beautiful.
They have numerous outdoor spaces for a ceremony. I chose the area facing gorgeous birch trees, with the White Mountains off to the left. They also have a small wedding chapel (so cute) which we thought of getting married in front of.
My photographer LOVED this venue and said said this was her favorite wedding she's shot for, because of how beautiful the grounds really are. It's something you should go see for yourself, pictures don't do justice!
Normally they rent out facilities for a few days, but since we were the grand opening barn day, we used it just for one day by our choice (not something they normally offer, but hear me out!) if we had done the whole weekend like they normally rent it as, It would have given us a chance to decorate early, to have a more intimate chance for rehearsal, etc. They offer a guest house to rent, as well as rooms at the Inn itself, so it would have been an opportunity for family to all be present there for the weekend (about enough space for large bridal party and immediate family on both sides) which would have worked out so well. If I could go back and do it that way, I really would. The fact that people can stay at the Inn and have their numerous-course breakfast in the morning, not having to travel from Portland from rehearsal to the wedding, that would have been a nice perk, I highly recommend it. :)
The venue rental is just the rental. Everything else is building from the ground up from porta johns to catering, which depending on the bride, could be super fun and creative like I loved, but if that's not for you, then Kings Hill has AWESOME preferred vendors they can recommend for literally everything. I used their vendor Affordable Events, for my crystal chandeliers/tables/chairs and it was so gorgeous. I hardly had to decorate (even though I did) because everything was already so pretty!
Go check them out, you will feel really special!
