Kings River Lodges

I recently had my wedding at Kings River Lodges, and it was absolutely perfect!!! If you are wanting a rustic, raw outdoor wedding with lots of trees and nature, then this is the perfect location!! If you are wanting a cookie cutter venue that does everything for you, then this isn't it. Karen, the owner, is great! She had many mismatched wooden chairs and even some wooden dinning tables, dressers, and lots of mason jars, as well as some other rustic decor, that she allowed us to use for our ceremony and reception. Our wedding party was quite large, so we had to bring in some of our own chairs, tables, etc., but she had enough to cover a smaller wedding party. I loved that we were able to rent out the two lodges on site, and our entire wedding party and family from out of town were able to stay on the wedding site for the weekend. We got to BBQ, swim, and have our reception dinner and rehearsal all at the actual wedding location! Everyone had a blast!! We were even able to start setting up as early as a week in advance! Tear down was also stress free, as the wedding party was able to stay the night of the wedding as well, and clean up the next morning. Karen allowed us to use her golf carts for the day of the wedding, which was very helpful in shuttling our guests and also driving to different photography locations on the property. Kings River Lodges are located on a big (retired) golf course, and we decided to have our ceremony and reception on different parts of the property, so this was very helpful for us. Karen made sure the locations we were using were freshly mowed and ready to go before we started setting up for our big day. If you are creative and don't want to deal with the restrictions that many venues place on weddings, then this is the perfect venue!! I was able to create my absolute dream wedding here!!! Tiffany

DO NOT VISIT THIS VENUE! The pictures are very deceiving. I am sure that this venue was nice years ago, but it is NOT anymore. The golf course does not exist anymore, the landscaping has 3 feet high weeds, the pool area is gross (warped wood everywhere), and the "rustic cooking area" is run down. This place was a complete disappointment, and the owners are just as disappointing.

This wedding venue is more of a DIY spot. We chose it because of the accommodations which were clean, beautiful and modern. If you are looking for a place that is a blank canvas, this place is great. We put in a lot of work and planning and our wedding turned out beautifully. There is not a lot offered to you at this venue, so we rented a lot of items such as chairs, tables, lighting, glassware, & linens. However, for the price I guess this is to be expected.
