Lying midway between Atlanta and Charlotte, the resort is conveniently located whilst feeling remote and secluded.
Kingwood Resort & Winery welcomes you and your guests to celebrate in the still calm of the mountains. Breath in the crisp clean air and relax in the company of those you love the most. You can choose from several sites when it comes to hosting your ceremony and reception. The Bridal Mountain Garden is a spectacular setting in which to say “I do” against a backdrop of tall mountain peaks in the distance. You can also choose to exchange vows indoors, with several smaller venues welcoming your intimate ceremony. These rooms are rustic yet chic, combining hardwood floors with all-white color schemes and decor such as cartwheel lanterns. In the days surrounding the ceremony, you can recline pool-side, enjoy a round of golf, or relax at the spa. There are also many beautiful hiking trails that surround the property, inviting you to get you and explore. River rafting trips can also be organized by the staff for any thrill-seekers amongst our party.
Kingwood Resort & Winery can welcome up to 200 for an outdoor reception. Inside, depending on your choice of room, there is space for parties of up to 150 well-wishers. The Kingwood Winery welcomes your guests to raise a glass of high-quality wine to love and good times.

utiful back drop. We were married in the garden area and had our reception inside the clubhouse. The weather was off and on rain all weekend. Elizabeth, Kingwood's onsite day of wedding coordinator, is a valuable asset. Her flexibility allowed us to be married in the garden as planned even though it was raining that very morning and afternoon. Elizabeth is easy to work with and will do everything in her power to make your special day perfect. If you ask for it and it is possible, Elizabeth will make it happen. She is personable, flexible, and basically feels like family by the time everything is said and done. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. I appreciate that there are multiple floor plan options to choose from for the reception inside the clubhouse, allowing me to choose what set up best fit my guest count and goals. Fun and dancing were our top priorities for the reception. I was able to move the dance floor to the main dining room allowing easy access to it for all guests. The dance floor was packed all night! The food was presented beautifully and professionally. I have spoken to several friends and family members since the wedding who have raved about how delicious all the food was. On Sunday, we were able to say goodbye to all of our guests at Kingwood's breakfast bar that is included with a stay at The Inn and condos. On site accommodations are an added bonus at this venue. There are hotel rooms, condos, and private houses for rent in the Kingwood community. Kingwood's welcome center handed out our welcome bags for us as guests checked in. The Inn is located directly across from the clubhouse allowing guests to walk to and from the wedding/reception and back to their rooms. We enjoyed having all of our guests stay at the resort with us because it allowed us to spend more time with them through out the entire weekend. I cannot say enough good things about Kingwood Country Club & Resort as a wedding venue. The scenery plus the venue plus Elizabeth make for a perfect wedding weekend.
