You can call on me for a service that honors your love in a way that is true to your personal love story. I am from Portland, OR, but have traveled extensively around the world. I draw on my master's in journalism from New York University and have worked as a writer and editor covering the outdoors and cultural matters. Since 2019, I have officiated weddings as Reverend Kiran Herbert. I offer services for elopements, micro-weddings, civil unions, commitment ceremonies, second weddings, and vow renewals. I am happy to write a ceremony script to meet your needs and backgrounds, whether single-faith, inter-faith, or non-religious. With an online survey and video call, I'll get to know you before your big day and make sure that I meet your expectations.

Kiran was seriously AMAZING! What she wrote about us had my *now* husband in tears the whole ceremony - I can tell she puts time and effort into the ceremony.

I’m originally from Portland, Oregon, although I grew up all over the world — I’ve been to six continents, 48 countries, 47 U.S. states, and 34 National Parks. For the past decade, I’ve worked as a writer and editor covering the outdoors and culture (I have a Master’s of Journalism from New York University). I found my calling as an officiant in 2019. In my free time, you’ll find me at the farmer’s market or hiking near my home in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado.
