We couldn't be happier with Kirk. He was quick to respond when we had questioned and was very professional. We told him we really wanted a lot of candids (I think they're the best kind of shots) and he pulled this off beautifully! He was punctual and checked in with us often but he wasn't an obvious presence during the ceremony or reception. He also never tried to pressure us into taking super-staged shots and never tried to up-sell us. The shots he took were beautiful and exactly what we wanted. His price is also very reasonable for the high-quality he provides. I highly recommend him!

Kirk was by far the best photographer we could have hired for our day. He was friendly, professional and unobstrusive. Kirks documentary style of photography meant that he captured tiny, special moments in addition to the poses photos. Kirk was a pleasure to work with. His photography style definitely fit our needs. He was very attentive when listening to exactly what we were looking for, and he was also very prompt with responses. Kirk arrived right on time on the day of the wedding. He managed to capture amazing candid shots as well as some posed photos. It was great to get the photos and be able to relive the day. We also got all of the photos back in a timely manner. There were about 1200 photos!! I would definitely recommend Kirk to other couples that are getting married or for any other occasion. I love that Kirk was able to capture some moments that I may have missed during the big day.

Kirk photographer our wedding 3 weeks ago in Philadelphia and did a wonderful job with it! He was easy to work with from the first day -- very quick to respond to email/phone calls for any of our questions, very professional, spoke to us over the phone about 10 days before the wedding to go over details of what to expect from the ceremony and rest of the day (including learning names of family members we wanted included in pictures). We had an Indian wedding ceremony that Kirk captured beautifully -- I was pleasantly surprised to see how many close-up shots of details from the ceremony that he got. He really has a good eye, I knew from the moment he started taking pictures of us that day that we hired the right person -- he would tell us to shift just an inch in one direction or another so that pictures were framed perfectly, or gently tell my husband to straighten his pocket square. We are very happy with all the pictures Kirk took (over a thousand!), and I would highly recommend him to everyone!

While Kirk was a pleasure to work with during the wedding--with an upbeat and energetic personality--my husband and I were incredibly disappointed with the photos that were delivered a few weeks later. Our ceremony was held in a darkly-lit planetarium; I understand the challenges of taking photos under these conditions. However, I would expect that a professional knows how to adjust--whether pre- or post- production--for such scenarios. Most, if not all of the ceremony photos were grainy or poorly framed. Our guests took better shots. The same goes for the photos taken during the reception; most were grainy, with pixels clearly visible. We reached out expressing our disappointment, but received only justifications for the low-quality of the photos. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this vendor. I am happy to share examples for any interested.

Kirk photographed my wedding and I was 100% satisfied with his work. Kirk was thoughtful, sweet, a good listener, professional, and flexible from the start. He offered competitively-priced packages, and adjusted them at request. He (and the videographer, with whom he coordinated) were at the venue on time, and they took shots of exactly what I had described as my priorities.

We hired Kirk for our wedding at Normandy Farm and we really can't say enough good things. We found him through The Knot and are thrilled with our choice. We had the opportunity to work with him during an engagement shoot and had a lot of fun and loved our pictures. He was always a professional, showed up on-time and was very quick to turnaround our photos. We really had nothing to worry about throughout the night. We really didn't even notice he was there, which was exactly what we wanted. Wonderful. Very professional, and knows what he is doing. Photos on USB and print were stunning and crisp. Helped the wedding go smoothly along and photographed everything and everyone wonderfully. We had a out of state wedding and could not meet with him prior,however his skill and level of professionalism allowed for great photos and an easy day. Easy going and humorous photographer who does brilliant work and becomes a stress-free and pleasant part of the wedding.

We were looking for someone to take candid photos that really showed the energy of our wedding. Kirk did a fantastic job. I can't say enough positive things. He managed to never be obtrusively present, but always within arm's reach. The photos from our outdoor ceremony are beautiful. He got all of our posed pictures done so quickly we were able to focus on enjoying our reception with our friends and family. Anytime I wanted a special picture with someone, he was there to snap one. And our reception photos turned out so great!! I have seen so many couples get photos that are dark and unclear. His were amazing! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer in our area. You are getting a steal for his prices! Our USB with our pictures arrived very quickly also. I think I looked at the pictures 3 dozen times the day I got them because I was so happy with them and continue to look at them whenever I need a happy moment. He did a wonderful job.

Terry R. Kirk was a complete professional, very laid back and great to work with in our May 2015. We had the best experience with him, not to mention the most beautiful wedding pictures - perfect mix of our formal and reception pictures. We had met with many photographers, but we knew we liked Kirk as soon as we met him. He had great packages to choose from that would not break the bank! Kirk was always very responsive to all my emails and made sure to keep in touch before the wedding to make sure he understood what we were looking for. Kirk was absolutely perfect. So Easy to work with, great ideas, receptive to our ideas, and very laid back! He had the perfect mix of candid shots and posed, and a great mix of us and our guests. My husband and I both loathe having our pictures taken. Neither of us feel remarkably photogenic, and my husband is especially angsty about having to stand and pose. This was probably the first statement I said to Kirk. He reassured us it wouldn't be bad at all. On top of that, I’m a total organization freak and had a laundry list of photos I wanted taken, I needed to have all the files provided for me electronically on a drive, and we were unable to meet with him before the wedding b/c we were planning the wedding from 3000 miles away. Despite the odds being stacked against him from the start, Kirk was an AMAZING photographer! From the second I met him in person (a few hours before the wedding) I felt comfortable with him. He eased us into it and kept the pictures moving so we became more and more relaxed as the day progressed. He rolled with the changes and delays due to rainy weather. He even hung around a little longer to make sure he got just a few more candid photos. I feel Kirk went above and beyond what he was contracted to do. His work is beautiful. He captured many amazing moments, its taking me months to select the photos I like the best for our wedding book. I’m absolutely in love with the photos he took of my husband and I in our reception hall & all the amazing shots he got of our family and friends.

Kirk was on time and was very professional and was very patient with everyone getting in his way trying to get pictures. He was always there to capture the cutest moments. We had alot of little children and he was very good with them. Can't say enough great things about Kirk.

Kirk did a wonderful job at our wedding. We spoke several times before the wedding so he knew my husband and I and what we were looking for in regards to our pictures. He even went out of his way to learn family members names so he could make sure all the right people got into the right pictures. Both myself and wife found Kirk Hoffman to be an excellent photographer. He was friendly and easy going to work with, and very professional. The photos are awesome. My Husband and I got married this past weekend (10/25) and had Kirk as our photographer. When first meeting Kirk and looking over his portfolio he was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and also making sure to better understand any specific shots we wanted taken. In the months leading up to the wedding he was easy to get a hold of and very accommidating to our availability. When the day came he was on time and had already started taking pictures of my husband and his friends while the girls got ready. He got every shot we could have thought to capture and even suggested some shots we hadn't thought of but he had seen the opportunity for. He has sent us a few samples of the pictures he had taken and they are fabulous. Some of the shots I hadn't even realized he had captured, he was so unobtrusize during the whole event. Over all we are very glad we chose Kirk Hoffman Photography for our wedding, and if asked we would recommend him to any of our friends.

I definitely recommend Kirk as a wedding photographer! He is very nice, professional and flexible. We took photos on two separate days for a total of 6 hours. He was punctual for every appointment. And I really appreciated that he drove us around the city to take photos on a Saturday since we don't have a car. Working with him was delightful. He always listened to what we want and he gave great suggestions and ideas. He was very professional, and he worked hard to get the best photos for us. We set out for photo shooting around the city in the morning, but when we arrived at the Art Museum the light was not ideal. Since we really want some photos be taken there, Kirk suggested that we could come back later in the afternoon. So he drove us home and picked us up again in the afternoon to take more photos. I found Kirk to be absolutely wonderful to work with. We found his information on The Knot.com. Our first meeting went so well with him that we not only knew he would be our photographer, but referred him to our friends that were also getting married. They loved him too and booked him as well. At our friend's wedding, Kirk took a few candid shots of us and even sent them to us. He was attentive and a dream to work with. I would absolutely refer any friend to use Kirk Hoffman as their photographer.

My wedding was a small 60 person wedding on October 4th, 2014. From the start I knew I had to research for a photographer who had wonderful style, was within my budget and had a fun yet professional way about him. I found Kirk online through the knot. From the gecko he was wonderful in giving me information on price, time, ect. He made me feel comfortable that even though my wedding was small I was still a bride and deserved wonderful photographs. He had multiple cameras with him the whole time, knew exactly what angles and photos we wanted and made my family and friends love him and feel comfortable around him, especially the camera shy ones. Kirk even had time to show my 7 year old nephew how to have fun taking pictures which meant a lot to me. You could see that he loves his job and loved finding special moments to capture. Overall he is worth every moment of your time, just give him a chance and at least contact him and I promise you will not be disappointed, you deserve a great photographer like him for your wedding! Thank you Kirk for everything and for making my small, but special day, everything it could have been!

We had a great time working with Kirk. We had a fairly untraditional wedding, in that we only had 45 guests and we did it on a Monday night, with both the ceremony and reception at a restaurant in Center City. We did not have a bridal party, though I did get ready with a couple of girlfriends. In my search for a photographer, I learned quickly that most wedding photographers will not agree to shoot for just a few hours, but rather you need to pay for the whole day. I called a lot of photographers that said I needed to pay for the 8 hour day even though I only wanted a photographer for 3 hours. Since our wedding was not on a weekend (and presumably not preventing them from shooting another wedding), that seemed sort of ridiculous to me. So, when I found that Kirk offered an hourly rate, I was thrilled. Kirk is very kind and enthusiastic. We met him at his house before booking with him, and he wrote down the types of photos I liked from his examples, and was sure to bring them up while we were shooting. While doing the formal pictures with the family, he made everyone feel comfortable. My father-in-law keeps telling me how good he was :). During the wedding itself, he was perfectly unobtrusive. We had a tight space since the wedding was in a small restaurant, but he got fantastic shots of everyone and was never in the way. In addition to the standard photos, he took some very cool/creative photos after sunset with backlighting that are my absolute fave! We got the CD with the pictures from him in the mail about 3 weeks later, and are very happy with them.

Kirk was professional and flexible. He was willing to adjust packages to work within our budget and took beautiful photographs of our family before the wedding and wonderful candid photos during the wedding without being obtrusive at all - you didn't even notice he was taking pictures! The result is just spectacular! In fact, one of the guests at our wedding posted some of the pictures with her and her fiancee and people thought they had done engagement photos!

When we met Kirk, I was excited to work with him because I could tell he loves taking pictures and loves being a wedding photographer. He also was very calm and I could tell does not let the stress of a wedding impact his work at all (and I like to be surrounded by calm people!) Kirk has great ideas for pictures, and we got a great deal of posed shots but he really excels at the photojournalist approach. We have so many great candid moments thanks to Kirk and his assistant. My favorite "portraits" are actually candid shots that look posed because he got the angle just right. I'm not a photogenic person, so I was probably difficult to work with. Kirk was great and made me feel comfortable the entire day - difficult to do when you are a little camera shy. I had over a thousand pictures of the entire day. I'm lucky to have found him. Additionally, his prices are very reasonable for quality of the pictures and hours Kirk put in.

Kirk's photography is what made me fall in love with my venue. That photo is also what made me fall in love with Kirk's work. Kirk was laid back and easy going and I felt at peace with allowing him to photograph however he wanted. When I arrived late on the wedding day Kirk didn't complain or rush, he actually asked if I still wanted to take photos we had discussed earlier and I had faith that our wedding pictures would turn out beautiful. He is so good at capturing the moment that I almost forgot he was even there. He earned the nickname of "The Ninja" from my guests due to him being quiet and quick. He seemed to capture every moment perfectly. I am very happy that we decided to go with Kirk and I am pleased with the quality of work he produces. If I could redo the wedding day Kirk would definitely still be in the picture! Kirk is amazing!

The pictures were great and we are very happy with the shots and the album, but what made Kirk standout were a few other things. First, it poured rain on our wedding day, which changed plans/photo arrangements. Kirk was very flexible and had good ideas how to make the most of our situation. He made great use of our reception ballroom and grounds since we could not actually be outside for photos. Every photo we wanted he made sure we got and got well. He also took some great photos we weren't planning on two of which we had blown up and framed in our house. Which reminds me...a few years after our wedding I wanted to get 2 photos blown and framed as a gift for my wife and Kirk was able to provide the original photo files at no extra charge. He was also able to provide us with the service of getting the photos blown up. This was a great help and the photos look great. Kirk is an excellent photographer with a keen eye, a wonderful demeanor and a consummate professional. I met Kirk when he photographed my sister's wedding. I was so impressed with the way he captured the beauty of the day while being professional and non-obtrusive. He knew everyone's names, their relationship to the bride and groom and made everyone feel at ease. After seeing the wonderful job he did at my sister's wedding, my husband and I hired him to photograph our wedding. Again, he did a fantastic job. Kirk was the first and only photographer that we used for our wedding. We knew instantly that he would be perfect, given his flexibility, professionalism and amazing portfolio. Kirk was the photographer for our wedding. Kirk is amazing!!! When he met with us, he wanted to know our vision. He delivered everyone of our expectations. He has an artistic eye to represent the realism of the day. He got certain photos and we didn't even know he was there (we called him the "ninja photographer"). I can't recommend Kirk enough! He's incredibly talented and professional. We get compliments all the time on our wedding portrait and other pictures. He was very responsive to our questions during the planning process and was incredibly polite to all of our wedding party and guests.
