Kirsten Fredrickson - Makeup Artist

Kirsten Fredrickson is a New York State licensed and insured esthetician and freelance makeup artist with over two decades of experience helping clients look and feel like the most confident version of themselves. Since 2006, she has provided skincare-informed makeup artistry for weddings, special events, private makeup lessons, commercial projects, and television and film productions throughout Upstate New York / Capital District and surrounding areas. Originally from the Catskills, Kirsten's path into the beauty industry has been anything but ordinary. She studied Advertising and Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City before serving in the Army Reserves. She later pursued her passion for skincare by attending the Aesthetics Science Institute in Latham, New York, where she earned her esthetics license. This unique combination of artistry, discipline, and skin expertise continues to shape her philosophy today: beautiful makeup begins with healthy, well-prepared skin. Kirsten began her professional beauty career with Estée Lauder, where she discovered her passion for connecting with clients and teaching them how to feel confident in their own skin. Her career soon expanded into freelance artistry, leading to appointments on Estée Lauder's Northwest and Southwest Regional Makeup Artistry Teams while living in the western United States. She later returned to New York to serve as a Regional Makeup Artist for Orveon Global, representing Buxom, Laura Mercier, and bareMinerals. Throughout her career, she has continued advanced education with leading beauty and skincare brands and earned her airbrush makeup certification through Kett Cosmetics in Las Vegas. ​Today, Kirsten's work spans from luxury bridal mornings throughout the Albany, New York area to high-pressure television, film, and commercial production sets. Her portfolio includes corporate video, fashion editorial, commercial advertising, and IMDb-credited work in television and film. Her clients include TLC, FOX News, PBS, and ABC, while her artistry has appeared in Elegant, Shuba, and Salyse magazines, as well as on the runway during New York Bridal Fashion Week with Kleinfeld Bridal. Whether she's preparing a bride for one of life's biggest moments or a performer for the camera, Kirsten's goal remains the same: to create polished, camera-ready makeup that enhances natural beauty without masking it. By combining the expertise of a licensed esthetician with the artistry of an experienced makeup professional, she creates timeless, skin-focused looks that help every client feel elevated, confident, and completely themselves.
