About this vendor

My passion for photography started in high school and continues to be an exciting journey. Its an amazing experience to capture moments, and share them, and save them, and be able to go back later and see the photos again. Memories are special and when someone close to you is lost those memories become precious. As a mother, I love capturing images of my two little ones, daughter Sarah and son Tyler. I would have never thought that i would love being a mother as much as i do! Seeing the world through their eyes has made me enjoy every moment. And, they are a handful. I am so thankful for my husband, Jon, for making our family strong. Thank you for visiting Kirsten Guthrie Photography! I hope you enjoy looking through the site. We do provide special packages so reach out to us through our contact us section. And, feel free to ask questions! Kirstenguthriephotography.com

We had the pleasure of working with Kirsten Guthrie as our wedding photographer in Norfolk, VA. Kirsten was not only incredibly fun and kind, but also made the entire wedding enjoy...

able. Her experience and creativity shines through in every photo she captures! One of the things that impressed us the most about Kirsten was her skill in managing and directing people during the photo shoots. She made everyone comfortable and attentive, resulting in stunning and natural-looking images. Her professionalism and expertise truly shone through. Kirsten also included a complimentary engagement shoot before our wedding. It allowed us to get to know her better and gave us a fantastic opportunity to become more comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. We highly recommend Kirsten. We loved her, and you won't be disappointed with the exceptional level of service and the incredible moments she captures.

I don't even know where to start with how incredible Kirsten is. My husband and I had the true pleasure of having her as our photographer for our August 2021 wedding. Not only is s...

he bubbly, kind, and caring, but she is a true professional with a keen eye for detail and catching those special moments both big and small. She's also somewhat of a super hero, because when our wedding videographer bailed on us the day of our wedding, she went absolutely above and beyond to find us a replacement, and while waiting for one to arrive, she did everything she could to both film and photograph us before and during the ceremony so no big moments were lost. Moreover, the replacement she found, videographer extraordinaire Karlo Coloso, was phenomenal, and I genuinely don't think we could have ever found a better, more talented photo and video team. Even after our wedding was over, and I was stuck in a serious bout of post-wedding depression and sad about what happened with our original videographer, Kirsten worked with Karlo behind our backs to create the most meaningful surprise for us: booking a small theater where we had done some of our wedding photos so my husband and I could have a private screening of our wedding video with them. Kirsten even put together the sweetest little photo video for us! And let me tell you, the videos were AMAZING. My husband and I recommend Kirsten a thousand times over. Book her for your weding, your engagement photos, baby photos...just book her! Because no matter what it is, you're making the best choice there is by choosing her. We guarantee!

nd make use of lighting. She even sent me some quick sneak peaks of photos she edited right away, during the reception! Apart from her photpgraphy skills, I found her friendly, open and caring which made the whole interaction that much more pleasant. Several of my guests commented how wonderful she had been. Don't hesitate to reach out to her for your next event! I am so glad we had her for our wedding :)

d to help me out throughout the entire day with things like helping me with my shoes and bustle multiple times. She was great at directing the bridal party and the rest of the guests all day in order to get all the photos we needed. I obviously don’t have all the photos she took back yet but the ones she’s sent me so far are amazing and I cannot wait to see the rest!

Our engagement session with Kirsten went wonderfully. She even stayed late to get pictures with just the right lighting without being asked. She was very responsive to all question...

s prior to the wedding and even offered to let me use a couch as a prop. We were informed that there would be a second shooter present to help at the wedding but never met this individual. The second shooter was very demanding and was rushing the bridal team for pictures prior to the ceremony. I feel as though this second shooter was allowed to dictate portions of my wedding day. This individual wanted to get pictures of us on a hillside and assured us it would only be a few minutes. I got to watch many of my guests leave the reception from this hillside as these pictures took much longer than stated! Most of the wedding guests left because of this prior to any toasts.. tosses....dancing...etc. I was willing to let this go until I had not received my photo album or canvas as of December (our wedding was in June!). Kirsten assured me that the album was in and she was waiting on my canvas and that she had took it upon herself to order me 2 canvases. When I went to pick up my canvases and album, she said she had reviewed our agreement and I would only be getting one canvas! I then had to pick between the two canvases that took me until December to get my items! The photo album I received hardly had any pictures that I had favorited (she asked me to do this) and did not include many pictures we had with our family! We paid around $200 for this album, when in the end I would have been better off ordering through shutterfly on my own for MUCH cheaper. At this meeting in December she said she was still having our video worked on but we would have it soon. Now it is March and I still have no video and have not been responded to since an inquiry in January. I feel as though I have been more than patient ! Very unprofessional and disappointing since we had such a nice impression of her at the beginning!

e day and she went home and did edits and sent them to me that night! Most photographers would not do that! She took the time to capture great pictures and didn't make us feel like she was "on the clock" as some photographers do! I have had so many compliments on my sons pictures! We will always use Kirsten Guthrie Photography!

y announcement and gender pictures! I'm so happy to say tho that we have found our favorite/forever photographer and am completely in love with her! We are on our 3rd photo shoot with her this move for Christmas pictures and even already have our baby #2's newborn pictures already scheduled with her! She is definitely the most patient and kind hearted person we have dealt with! She never rushes or makes you feel overwhelmed and she has a quick turn over time to get your pictures! If I could give her 100 stars I would!
