Kirsten is the best! She is kind, energetic, and seems truly passionate about her work. She was organized and quick to respond to messages as well as flexible with meeting dates and times. Kirsten was amazing at our wedding. We were one of the covid wedding couples and had two weddings (2020 and 2021). She did both of them, plus engagement photos and her work was unbelievable! There were SO many photos to choose from, she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and helped so much with posing. She also was great at responding to all of my questions and provided help whenever I asked. It was an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I found Kirsten for my engagement and wedding photography and WOW. She is such a fantastic photographer and person. (Along with her team of associates!) I have so many great things to say about Kirsten and her staff! First, she did an AMAZING job for our engagement photos! We absolutely had a ball and Kirsten was able to give me what I like to call a “double photo shoot” as we were able to get both seasons I wanted (fall and winter) in one shoot with her perfect timing/ scheduling! As a big fan of photography and an amateur photographer myself, I was really picky about the vision I wanted for our wedding photography, so I Googled “best wedding photographers in Indianapolis” and that’s where I found Kirsten Wray’s page, which matched my vision perfectly for bright, glamorous photos. She was extremely friendly and great at responding to my many emails and even greater during our engagement shoot and wedding. She knew the best locations for fabulous shots and was amazing at directing us for poses that created beautiful shots. I also really appreciated her ability to work with the kids and babies in our wedding formal family shots. I would highly recommend her as your wedding photographer!!

I am so grateful that we picked Kirsten to be our wedding photographer!! Kirsten photographed my cousins weddings and our family pictures, so I knew she would be the perfect person to capture my big day. Below are a few reasons why I highly recommend picking Kirsten to be the photographer for your big day! First, Kirsten includes an engagement shoot with the wedding cost which was fun - we got to pick the place which I really liked (we picked Butler University because both of us went there). Second, something that really stands out to me about Kirsten is she makes an effort to know people's names - I think this is really special and just shows how much she cares about making everyone feel special and involved in the photos. Third (and probably most important for me because I stress out if I'm not organized), a few months before our wedding we met up and she laid out the whole day of timeline for us based on photos - I highly recommend doing this with Kirsten early because then you know when you need to be ready, etc. It was extremely helpful and we were able to stick to the timeline she created the whole day - she really knows what she is doing!! We did a first look and then most of our bridal party and immediate family pictures prior to the ceremony and Kirsten did a great job managing all of that - keeping us on track time wise - and not making it a long process. After the ceremony we did extended family pictures and we were able to even join in on the cocktail hour because Kirsten is so great at keeping track of time and being efficient with the photos that are taken. She is efficient, but I never felt rushed! Fourth, it was also great having her expertise on what pictures to take - she would make sure we looked good in the pictures and didn't just let things go. For example, a couple times she had said to us "Yeah you're not going to like this picture - tilt your head more!" or "the lighting isn't great here - we should do pictures over there now and here later". Fifth, within a week of the wedding we got a preview with about 230 of our wedding pictures - it was so exciting to see them so soon and I cannot wait to see the rest of them!! I love all of them so far! I highly recommend Kirsten for capturing your big day, she made it so much fun, had a great attitude the whole time, made all of us laugh, and even kept the guys engaged in the photos (which I know can be hard to do with some guys). I'm looking forward to having Kirsten capture more of the big events in our life!

Kirsten is enthusiastic, outgoing, and clearly loves portrait photography! We chose her due to her experience and her ability to photograph and edit indoor, dimly lit churches & industrial venues in addition to the outdoor, traditional wedding party locations that you see all over other photographers' pages. We received the (gorgeous!) wedding pictures preview within a week of the wedding, and we look forward to receiving all of our wedding day photos!

Kirsten along with her husband made an awesome team for our wedding in Jamaica. She took the stress out of our wedding. I wouldn't have wanted any other photographer at our wedding and she did a great job on our engagement photos as well. Everything comes back perfect and they're willing to help accommodate in any way they can. Not only were these two an awesome photographer but they felt like guests and friends as well. Kirsten was wonderful to work with! We had a lot of bumps randomly happen close to the wedding, and Kirsten was able to adapt to those changes quickly and helped calm all my nerves. She was energetic and knew how to take control of the wedding day (thank goodness because our wedding coordinator was just awful). I hope to use Kirsten again in the future for other photo opportunities.

OH MY WORD! Kirsten went above and beyond our expectations!!! We had a New Years Eve wedding, which meant that the sun set early (who knew! ha!). I was SO THANKFUL to have Kirsten on our team. She was the only photographer we interviewed that mentioned that fact, but because of that, it influenced our whole day. We loved her portfolio of clean, light, and classic pictures. Her communication, portfolio, and knowledge of photography in winter is why we chose to go with her. It was a whole day event and Kirsten and her co-photographer were there to capture all of the special moments, from both of us getting ready with our bridal parties, first looks with my dad and my groom, to the balloon drop at midnight. She was able to make us laugh to be comfortable, which is important because after an hour of pictures, your smile turns pretty fake! She would always let us know when that was happening. Due to the amazing weather for NYE, we were able to take night shots at the canal and with the city skyline that are absolutely decadent!!! Our day was a mixture of indoor and outdoor pictures - all of which are gorgeous. Are venue, 416 Wabash, is a completely dark venue with a light up dance floor and different color lights everywhere. All of the pictures perfectly encapsulate our evening!!! She did an amazing job going from different lighting. Needless to say, I am obsessed.

Kirsten was so fun to work with during our engagement photo shoot! Even though the weather was a little uncooperative, she managed to capture beautiful shots. And, she was very accommodating and flexible with her availability! She's professional yet also very approachable and easy-going. So, if even if you're not used to posing for pictures, her knowledge, creativity, and fun personality makes the whole experience feel more natural. And, if you do have photo ideas in mind, she's a great listener and delivers! Our wedding photos are stunning! She'll assist you with creating the most effective timeline for photos and help you stay on track! Both our engagement and wedding photo were provided to use in a very reasonable timeframe. Her team will also be photographing our October reception, and we have absolutely no doubts that they'll do a wonderful job!

I cannot recommend Kirsten for wedding photos enough. She made my husband and I feel comfortable and made the whole process so fun and easy. She helped us plan out a timeline for the day of with photo location recommendations based on our style, and then helped to keep the day running smoothly according to that schedule. I felt so at ease knowing she was on it- she was very professional and knowledgable throughout. On top of that, the end results are amazing!! Kirsten is an amazing photographer and human being as well. She is very kind and caring and very skilled at what she does. She has taken our photos from family photos to our proposal, engagement photos and now our wedding photos and soon maternity and newborn photos :) She is so patient with us since my husband and I are not very photogenic people. My daughter was married in November 2019 in Indianapolis, IN. We do not live in the city so as we were searching for wedding photographers near Indy we found Kirsten Wray Photography. We were impressed from our very first phone call. Kirsten is warm, friendly, down to earth, and professional. But what made her stand out above all others was her style of photography. My daughter wanted all the standard portraits of wedding photography but also wanted more candid shots that told a photojournalistic story of her special day. Kirsten was totally on board with my daughter's vision and we did not hesitate to book her for the wedding and we are so glad we did! Kirsten met with us in person several months later and she was just as gracious and fun in person. Everything about my experience with Kirsten was top-notch. Not only is she an amazing photographer, she is also a wonderful human to plan with and to have around on your wedding day. Kirsten had to be my favorite vendor I had the pleasure of working with. Her sense for humor and "take-charge" attitude are the perfect combo when dealing with large bridal parties and families. We just had our wedding ceremony last weekend and could not have been happier with how the day turned out. Much of its success was because of Kirsten and her assistant. At one point we were running 30 minutes behind schedule and by the time we got through our bridal party & immediate family pictures before the ceremony, she had us running almost 10 minutes ahead of schedule. She is very experienced and is great at coordinating the bride and groom, the bridal party, family, friends, kids, Grandma and Grandpa, etc. Bottom line: her pictures are amazing and she helped me stay sane throughout the day of the wedding. She is also very responsive when you have questions for wedding planning. I basically built my wedding day timeline over a couple of months via texting her. She is great! Her packages are perfectly priced for the quality of photos you get and the amount of wedding day coverage included. I can't wait to see our wedding photos when they are edited! The other thing we REALLY liked that no other package we looked at included was custom wedding albums. Other photographers would give us a coupon for a wedding album, but Kirsten meets with you after the wedding and helps you put together an album that is perfect for YOU as a couple.

While Kirsten was booked for our wedding day, we used her associate Cassie. Kirsten set up all of the meetings before hand and went through details with us and we were not able to meet Cassie beforehand. When Cassie showed up at the venue, she blew me away with her professionalism and friendliness. She got to work right away shooting little details then spent time with the groom's side and then the bride's side. She made everything so comfortable and easy going. We really didn't have any specifics we wanted and just let her handle the day/night. Highly recommend Cassie and Kirsten!

Kirsten was amazing. Her day was going about the same as the brides, but her positiveness, professionalism and overall friendliness was a breath of fresh air. The fact it was so hot and she didn't let us "quit" on taking pictures was great (I credit her unbelievable patience!). Overall we really enjoyed having Kirsten there to help make our day extra special.

My husband and I got married on June 24, 2017 and had Cassy and her assistant Kaylie as our photographers. Originally, we had a completely different photographer, but unfortunately had to find a replacement in March! Kirsten responded within the same night of emailing her saying that she had availability for our wedding day. She was a lifesaver!! Seriously, no couple wants to hear the bad news that a wedding vendor has to back out at the last minute. We live in Florida and she worked with us so well. She is very flexible and honest, and that is what we wanted. On our wedding day, Cassy and Kaylie showed up on time, which was relieving. Cassy took the reigns and started taking pictures and was "in charge". At that point, a bride and groom are so tired of making decisions, so it was SO nice to have her guide our day. We had a HUGE wedding party and family and they managed them all well. Cassy also stayed longer then we had originally planned and we appreciated that. The only negative feedback that we have is that we did not get a lot of time to do our family pictures, which isn't necessarily our photographers fault. We would've liked some more time taking family photos because we feel like we didn't get all of the ones we wanted. Overall, they were good and I would recommend Kirsten Wray Photography. Herself and her staff are delightful to work with.

Hats off to this amazing photographer! We hit it off from the beginning and she has a way of making you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She is extremely efficient as well. Timing was great for engagement session and loved the boudoir session - was amazing! Wedding pictures are incredible, just so many to choose from. Only thing I would say to work with her on is to find out who her assistant photographer is and then ask her to send the top photos to you after the wedding because it can be overwhelming to pick 150 out of thousands of pictures. We will be using Kirsten for all of our shoots going forward as we grow as a family. She is the bee's knees and does amazing work!

Kirsten did a great job with our wedding pictures. We did the Associates Package and had Emily and Cassie take our wedding and reception. They were fun and easy to work with and took over 2,000 pictures of our special day! They were excellent at suggesting poses and working with our wedding party. Kirsten edited and worked on every single photo and the vast majority turned out wonderfully. The only complaint is the turnaround time on the pictures - we just got our photos a bit over 3 months after the wedding. Slow turnaround is pretty common with any wedding photographer though and it shows how busy Kirsten is and how much business she's getting - it's for good reason! Would definitely recommend Kirsten to a friend. She's very talented and also quite affordable.

I didn't have Kirsten as my photographer but I had two of her associate photographers photograph my wedding. Before deciding if we wanted to use her associates Kirsten showed us some photos from her associate photographers but she couldn't guarantee that we would get the associates that took the photos of the wedding album she showed us. We decided to use them anyways. We had Katie and Kaylei as our two photographers. The main photographer did the best she could but didn't receive much assistance from the second photographer. This caused us to be inefficient with our time causing us to not get as many photos as I expected we would get. Most of the photos taken were straight forward photos with little opportunity for the wedding party to show their personality. The photographers failed to get a photo of me, my husband and our flower girl which I feel is a pretty important photo to fail to get. Though I have several fairly minor complaints I think we will walk away with several good photos to choose from.
