Where do I even begin…. I was so excited to work with this company because they are supposed to be “the best of the best.” Not to mention that they are very pricey. I booked them for my wedding day and when I initially booked them they assigned me specific artists who were going to work with me and my bridesmaids. These artists I was assigned have experience and have been working with the company for a while. I then booked my trial about 3 weeks before my actual trial. The day of my trial comes and Rey the person who manages the bookings texted me THAT morning asking if I was doing a trial or if it’d be for a photoshoot. I said trial and he apologized and said he hadn’t realized it was a holiday and the girl who was doing my trial was off that day. Keep in mind this is the week off my wedding!!! As you can imagine emotions were running high. I felt like my wedding wasn’t a priority and I couldn’t understand how they messed this up! Anyways they were able to schedule my trial 2 days later which I was so upset about still. They ended up assigning me a completely different artist for hair and makeup for my trial and wedding date. Originally we were assigned 3 artists now we’re down to 2. The trial was a complete flop. I left feeling so disappointed. I was so upset because me being the bride I should feel so beautiful and confident which I didn’t feel. The curls fell out after maybe an hour. The work they had did was nothing like what they show on instagram. Come to find out the lady who did my hair for my trial and wedding day doesn’t even work for KMH! I paid so much money and hired the company KMH which I should’ve been assigned one of the artists not someone who doesn’t even work for them! On my trial day they were having a conversation with the lady saying she just comes to work with them whenever they need her. So that’s how I found that out! My guess is that because this company is always so busy with weddings and pageants that they had all of their artists booked which I don’t care what the situation is I booked them 6 months prior this should’ve been sorted out. I felt like my wedding wasn’t a priority. On my actual wedding day I was a little happier with my hair but the makeup I still was not in love with. Some of my bridesmaids and mother in law were not happy with the work either. To the extent that we actually took it off and redid ourselves. Bottom line is I felt like this was so unprofessional, there was no communication, had I not asked who my artist was I would’ve never known or been in the loop of what’s going on. It sucks that I had such a bad experience on such a special moment. I am not the type to complain or do these sorts of things but this was not right at all. No client should be treated this way. I also tried letting the owner know so she could be aware of the situation but I got no response… so I’m hoping with this post it can be a wake up call and an insight to my situation.

I did not enjoy my experience with this company whatsoever. First- Theres no clarification of who is even doing your hair/makeup and they have multiple employees who are learning as they go. On the instagram page, some makeup looks good and some looks bad and you have no idea who did what. During my hair on my wedding day, karla was literally teaching her assistant how to straighten from the root. Not to mention eating chickfila while doing services. Karla was really sweet which is the only reason im giving them more than one star. Work is inconsistent amongst the artists. My lashes were flopping off both makeup trials and on wedding day my maid of honors was also. i had to actually go buy lash glue to fix it on my way to bridal portraits. I did not use them for makeup on my wedding day but did use for hair bc i liked my hair trial. Wedding day hair was rushed and didnt look as good as trial. When i tried to show her a pic of how she did my hair for trial she insisted she remembered and that i didnt need to show her. They were rushing to get out before 5 even though they were booked from 1-5. Said they had another event which isnt my issue. There was 4 services needed and the manager Rey assured me than one artist would be enough to do all 4 services. It was not. She rushed and then left before her time was up. I think they were completely unprofessional and they seem to be booking artists to be in multiple placed at once. Money not worth the quality of work at all.

LITERALLY PERFECT!!! Victoria and Charcie were amazing!! I had a vision in my head and they literally made all of my dreams come true. I was absolutely OBSESSED with my wedding look. 10000000% recommend!!!

I cannot recommend Kiss and Makeup enough! Hair and makeup was the last thing I booked since it was the vendor I was most picky about. I talked with what I felt like was every beauty vendor in Houston and felt like KMH was the most affordable and also had the best portfolio. From my bridals to my wedding day, Sandra and her team were absolutely AMAZING! I had a pretty big bridal party (9 bridesmaids, flowergirl, MOB, and grandmother) besides me and they did an amazing job making us love beautiful in the time frame. Brittany was also amazing and so personable. She was chatting everyone up and made my mom feel amazing. All of the team made everyone feel comfortable with their individual looks since everyone wanted something different. Our hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY! Can't recommend them enough & if I need my hair/makeup done again, I will FOR SURE call them :) Y'all are truly the best, thank you!!

These girls are the dream team! Melissa and her team made myself (Bride) and my bridesmaids, mother + mother-in-law feel FLAWLESS on my wedding day. They not only did a beautiful job but finished early too as we had an early ceremony in November since the sun goes down earlier so we could capture plenty of pictures. They are talented, sweet and professional. 100% recommend to all brides!

We hired Kiss and Makeup for our wedding in February 2020. Melissa did a hair and makeup trial for me, which was so helpful! It's one thing to look at pictures of different styles of hair and makeup on other people vs on yourself! She did a beautiful job, but doing the trial helped me realize I wanted a different updo than initially anticipated. On the day of, Melissa and Sandra showed up promptly to do H&M for our sisters, our moms, and myself. We were all very happy with their services. My mom said it's the prettiest she's ever felt before, which made me so happy! I loved that we were able to help the important ladies in our lives feel good on a day that was so special to us. Definitely would recommend! These ladies are very very talented!

I'm so sad to leave only a 2-star review for this team. I had hired K&M for two hair and makeup trials, both of which ended perfectly. I also hired them for my bridal shower, and rehearsal dinner. Melissa was the artist who did my hair and makeup at all of these events and I had 0 complaints about her professionalism and skill. She had done a great job for all the events I had leading up to my wedding, and I had 0 concerns going into my wedding day, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. To add some context, I changed the schedule of when I wanted H&M for myself and my bridal party for the day of the wedding a couple of times prior to the actual wedding week. During the last change, I requested to have an additional hour added to my time slot, to which management said they cannot do, but I should not be worried because the artists will be done on time. During the morning of my wedding, everything went smoothly, until the last hour of our appointment (11-12 pm). Melissa sent home one of the hair and makeup artists early (I was not made aware of this prior). My mom and I had our curls still pinned up and we had 20 minutes before we needed to be ready for photos. Our hair wasn't styled until then and Melissa ended up staying an entire 30 minutes past her assigned time (which I greatly appreciate). However, I was assured that everyone would be done on time, but the team didn't leave until 12:30. I was told they would be done on time which would have been at 12. Due to the rush to get me ready (I was the bride btw), my hair started falling apart and lost its structure as soon as one hour after Melissa left. It was also frizzing, something that had never happened before when Melissa did my hair. I had to take time out of my wedding day so that my MOH could re-curl parts of my hair before going to our ceremony. It was a huge disappointment and inconvenience to my day... All that to say, I decided to email K&M privately to see if there would be a resolve to the issue. I didn't want to leave a public review because I loved working with everyone. Their manager emailed me back right away saying that they would be in touch. However, I never got an email after that. I even sent a second email to follow up, to which I got no response. I am so disappointed with the lack of customer service I received following this issue, and this is ultimately why I decided to leave a review. I think H&M is an important decision for brides and I think honest reviews are important. I loved working with Melissa. She did a fantastic job with my makeup and I had no complaints there, the airbrush stayed on my face all day long and she was flexible with me wanting to use my own products, and also so very patient with me as I was really stressed out the morning of my wedding. If you end up hiring K&M for your wedding, I would caution brides to build in extra time themselves because I didn't get the feeling that K&M was able to manage their time during my wedding and unfortunately it did negatively affect me. I regret trusting that they would be done on time when I was told that. I am also upset because I feel like I wasted a lot of money on hair trials (trials were expensive) when my hair didn't end up being what I wanted on my wedding day.

From a hairstylist and makeup artists point of view. The three stars that I’m giving are purely for Melissa and Ashley, these two girls were so sweet, obviously very confident with there skills and it showed. They did an amazing job on any of the girls they did and I am so grateful. Sarah did makeup and she was talented as well but not on the same level as Melissa. I do think there needs to be more consistency with the talent because the two girls were using the same makeup but you could clearly tell who did who by the final product. As far as makeup they didn’t prep the skin or set the makeup. We were told with airbrush to pat our tears which we did but we all had major tear streaks in our makeup. We didn’t receive any kind of touch up kit so I used my own that I brought to fix my bridesmaids makeup a few times throughout the night. There was another hairstylist that did curls and styles with Ashley. I will say I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the styles. Some girls had natural curl and with the styles they showed being more polished I would I flat ironed the roots to give it a clean look, she didn’t until Melissa finally told her to. She didn’t tease a few of the girls hair that clearly needed it. I’m not sure what the deal was I just think she needs more training. Then there was a timing issue my planner called a few days before and confirmed the hair and makeup should be done at 1:30 The girls doing the makeup didn’t receive this message so they were aiming for 2:30 that shifted everything around. One of my girls didn’t get their hair or makeup done. Kiss and makeup did refund me fore that money with no questions asked which I do appreciate and Melissa handled everything so well. She made me feel calm and handled everything with class! Overall if I needed to I would hire Melissa and Ashley.

One of my favorite vendors for my wedding! Melissa did my makeup for my engagement & wedding. I wanted a full glam look and my biggest fear was my hair falling throughout the night but my hair held up perfectly. My makeup was perfect and the airbrush held up all night too! She was able to make me feel extra special on my special day and I could not give a bigger and better recommendation! I wear makeup everyday and she was able to exceed my expectations. She also did my bridesmaids makeup (some who never wear makeup) so they really can do any look. Glam or natural glam! They’re true professionals & if you wonna look fabulous book them! It’s worth the investment!!! You are the most photographed thing on your wedding! Don’t settle for a basic makeup artist!

Absolute dream team. They not only did a beautiful job but finished early. They made my bridesmaids and grandmother feel like queens. They are talented, sweet and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had Kiss and Makeup Houston do my hair & makeup for BOTH my bridals AND my wedding day, and both times... flawless results!!!! :-) I was so very pleased with the outcomes I got from them!! Sandra and her team are KIND, PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT, PATIENT, AND EXCELLENT AT THEIR CRAFT!!! They are also VERY EASY to work with and aim to accomplish your vision!! I was really excited to book Kiss and Makeup Houston for my wedding after reading a lot of reviews and seeing their work on Instagram. I also felt like their prices were pretty reasonable. I was supposed to have Sandra for my trial but she was traveling and a big storm came through and delayed her flight so I ended up having Melissa for my trial. My trial was amazing and I was so happy with how my look turned out. I decided afterward though to change my hairstyle to a ponytail because that’s my husbands favorite, and it’s the only regret of my entire wedding. My hair came out pretty bad for my wedding day. It was not really even close to the photo I had shown, it was a mess and was falling out before the ceremony even started. It looks really bad in all of my photos which is pretty upsetting. I wish I could have had the same artist for my trial and wedding day because my makeup for the trial was exactly what I wanted and even though I showed photos, my wedding day look wasn’t the same. They always save the bride for last and I had a large party so by the time it was my turn we were kind of rushing and there wasn’t really time for me to get exactly what I wanted. All of my girls looked great though. Sandra and her team were very sweet which is why I debated even leaving this review but every time I look through my photos I’m really disappointed about my hair.

Sandra and her team were incredible! My hair and makeup along with my bridesmaid’s hair and makeup were simply striking!!! The time and care they took with my 5 year old flower girl was an unexpected joy!! They even sat her in the make up chair ‘like the big girls’ for a little lip gloss and pretend blush. I will book them again for any other opportunity I have!!!

Words can not describe how amazing these women are! They were punctual and finished my large bridal party in a timely manner! My girls looked amazing and jaws dropped on my wedding day. I felt like a million bucks, we had so much fun with them and great conversation. They worked amazing together and honestly I couldn’t have picked a better company to style my wedding! Sandra Mata and Melissa are HMA magicians! I felt so beautiful for my wedding and my guests kept commenting on how good my bridal party and I’s hair and makeup looked. Our makeup stayed fresh the entire event through sweat and tears and still looked great 12 hours later. They are very skilled at what they do and I am so glad I chose them to be my stylists for my wedding. They are also extremely sweet people which is a plus! Thanks so much for making me beautiful on my wedding day!

I went through multiple beauty vendors before finding Kiss and Makeup, and I feel so lucky to have booked them!!!!!! I wanted a specific look: old Hollywood waves with glamorous makeup. Turns out old Hollywood waves are EXTREMELY HARD, and every makeup trial I had I was let down.... until I found Sandra!!! Within minutes of having my makeup trial done, I booked Kiss and Makeup. Sandra was so sweet, professional, and she knew exactly what she was doing. The day of the wedding her team was phenomenal. It was slightly chaotic (poor timing on my part), but her team worked hard to ensure quality work. I do a full face of makeup everyday. I was so worried to put the fate of my face in other strangers’ hands, but I am so glad I did. I had never felt more beautiful. I was sooo giddy to walk down the isle to my future hubby with my best face forward, and I am so grateful to Kiss and Makeup for that!!! I cried happy tears throughout the entire day, kisses people left and right, and nothing budged!! My makeup stuck to my face in the hot Houston heat!! Bottom line: book them!!!!

I do not even know where to begin with Sandra and her team. They are not only the sweetest humans on this earth, but are incredible at what they do! My bridesmaids absolutely loves their hair and makeup! Sandra was my stylist and was seriously a miracle worker!!! She made me feel so confident and beautiful on my wedding day and I can’t thank her enough!!! Brides to be- seriously book with kiss and makeup cuz they are incredible! Sandra, thank you for being the sweetest soul and making me feel like an angel on the most special and biggest day of my life. I’m so blessed to have had you and your team as part of my special day and will definitely have to have you make me over again soon! Love you tons!!!

I am pretty happy that I booked with Kiss & Makeup for my wedding. Their services are convenient. They are legitimate in terms of contracts etc. and it completely took stress off. It was one thing I didn't worry about too much. The day of, I had a glam squad of three lovely ladies (Melissa, Karla, and Laura). They were punctual and super fast. They were amazing to talk to, and great at their craft. This is a great beauty company and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I cant rate this a full 5 stars for the following reasons. First, because although everyone's hair was lovely, it did start to fall apart pretty quickly. In fact, before the ceremony the MOH had a mishap. Also the MOB & bride had a hair mishap pretty early in the party. Nothing that the bridal party couldn't put back together with hair pins- but the expectation was that it should've lasted a little longer. The next reason (and this is probably the most disappointing to me) was that I was expecting Sandra to be one of the stylist. I take partial responsibility for assuming this was going to be the case. I never did ask.. But I also feel like it should've been disclosed when booking the services. Most of what I had seen online was in regards to Sandra's work and based on that and the price I really expected her to be there. This to me, was the most unfortunate.

Sandra and her team did an amazing job on myself and the bridal party! Everyone absolutely loved their hair and makeup and it looked great in all of the photos. I was SO happy with my look. It's exactly what I pictured for my big day. They finished in plenty of time too so it was great to not feel rushed!

Sandra and her team did an amazing job on my bridesmaids, MOG, and MOB makeup and hair. All of the girls were very happy with their looks and the makeup lasted all night. Not only was makeup and hair on point, but the girls from Kissandmakeup made everyone feel at ease. Would definitely recommend!

Melissa was so amazing! She was kind and fun to talk to. She understood exactly the look I wanted (a kind of Bridget Bardot inspired look to go with my 70s bohemian esthetic bridal look). It was striking and even better than I had imagined she somehow made me look about ten oynds lighter and made me feel truly beautiful and glamorous on my wedding day. My wedding was in a difficult and remote location on a ranch and Melissa still managed to arrive on time! It was extremely hot and humid and I looked fresh and co in the makeup. The smoky eye did not smudge an inch and it all stayed put for the outdoor wedding in the end of June texas heat and humidity. I reccomend her to everyone! Book Melissa you won't be disappointed!!!!

I contacted Melissa with Kiss and Makeup Houston to do my makeup and hair for my wedding day, after seeing her work previously. I could not have been more impressed. Being overly nervous naturally, the experience from when I sat down in the chair, to helping me with my veil before walking out, made me feel so content. She made me glow and gave me more confidence for my special day.

Melissa with Kiss and Makeup Houston absolutely made our wedding phenomenal, I've sent many friends their way after being asked who did the makeup for my girls and I on the big day. Not only did she help me to stay on top of a schedule on the day of, everyone loved her vibe in general, it truly wouldn't have been the same without her!

I can not say enough wonderful things. Melissa was professional and helped me make the look I wanted come alive. As a bride I of course had numerous hairstyles and make up looks to show her. She looked through everything with me and the end result was glamorous. I felt very elegant and it lasted well beyond the reception. Thank you Kiss and Makeup Houston for making my dream day that much more amazing.

I made an appointment for a bridal trial after a referral from a friend. My friend had used Kiss and Makeup's services - and had the owner Sandra do their makeup. When I made the appointment I could see their prices were quite high for only a trial, but I decided to book because of the great referral I had. After setting up a time and date I was told that unless I wanted to be charged for travel, I would have to meet the artist at her home for the trial. So, of course since I was already paying a pretty penny for the trial I decided to drive to her. I got the to artists house, which mind you was in the third-ward, and started my trial. The artist explains she was rushing from Sugar Land (where I am from) where she was doing someone else's makeup, I told her that's where I lived - and was upset no one had told me about this. She then said it was last minute, and she had no idea where I was traveling from. As she did my makeup and hair, she didn't want me to see it until the end (which I thought okay maybe the big reveal). However, my makeup was nothing like I showed her, and my hair was teased WAY too much. She combed down the hair, and tried to fix the makeup - but there wasn't really anything to be done. When I got home (2 hours later because of Houston traffic) and got a closer look at the makeup, I could see many issues. The winged eyeliner she attempted was wobbly, and uneven and transferred around my inner-corner (tear duct). The contouring was very obvious, and I barely had any blush or color to my face. Seeing as this was a bridal trial, I would have thought she would've used waterproof products, or enough makeup to show up in photos. Again, because of my referral that is why I tried Kiss and Makeup, but my friend used the owner Sandra and my artist was Melissa (probably where this all went wrong). I would not pay such a high price again for just a trial, and having to drive to such a dangerous part of town.
