mid experiences with makeup artists, where I look good in photos but hate looking in the mirror and don’t feel confident. I was so lucky to have found Katie. She nailed it. Tbh, I looked incredible and felt the most beautiful and confident ever. She did my sisters’ makeup also and they would say the same. My face didn’t feel caked, but it looked flawless. I normally have very dark circles, but somehow she hid them and the makeup didn’t move after I cried multiple times during my wedding lol. I was happy I did the trial makeup. O well to what I wanted and what i didn't want which i feel like is a difficult skill and it resulted in the absolute most perfect look for my wedding day. The team she brought (three girls plus herself for 7 bridesmaids plus two moms) also did an incredible job. Everyone in my bridal party raved about how much they loved their hair and makeup. I have never been in a bridal party where one girl wasn't in the bathroom crying because she hated something about her look and I'm telling you every single girl in my party was raving about how they looked. 10/10 would book her again <3

her--you will be DEVASTATED. Katie was perfect in every category. She can do every hairstyle under the sun, and she will make you look AND FEEL more beautiful than you ever have. Amazingly, the makeup looked natural and beautiful in person AND photos. I didn't feel like it was caked on, but also it didn't budge ALL NIGHT--from 1 pm to 1am, my hair and makeup was PERFECT. The skills aside, if you offered me someone else who could recreate the exact same look, I wouldn't have traded Katie for the world. Her and her team matched our energy PERFECTLY. I had fun from 9:30 am until Katie (and Lexie and Salma) left. I truly felt like I made a friend in Katie and will be referring her to everyone I know and possibly hiring her whenever I want to look bomb on a random weekend. She made me feel special, she made me laugh, she made my bridesmaids and mother and fiance's mother feel beautiful and special too. I can't say enough good things about Katie. My wedding day was as perfect and fun and amazing and memorable as it was because of Katie and her crew--they played such a huge role in it. I booked the following services: Bride Hair + Makeup, Attendant Hair + Makeup (2), Attendant Hair (7), Junior Bridesmaid Hair (2), and Flower Girl Hair. Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist isn’t inexpensive by any means, but KBK’s rates are extremely reasonable given the quality of her work, the consistent and clear communication from start to finish, and the feeling of having someone I could trust with how I looked (and felt!) on what has been the most important day of my life thus far. I had my trial done before my bridal portraits. I showed Katie a YouTube video of an influencer’s bridal makeup that I liked and hoped she could recreate for me with some tweaks. I wanted my hair up in a low side bun (since it doesn’t hold a curl), in a way that would showcase my gorgeous hairpiece. And I don’t know what to say other than that she delivered. I remember looking in the mirror and nearly crying her hard work off because I felt beautiful for the first time in my life. My bridal portraits are stunning, and I have to thank Katie because under the makeup, I still looked like myself. She is spectacular. For the wedding, Katie also created a service schedule that my mom, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and flower girl were able to follow so they knew what time to arrive to have their hair/makeup done. She brought two additional artists with her to get the job done in time, and my girls had so much fun getting ready together! Katie and her team were so fun to talk to; this really helped with my nerves before we headed over to the church. Also, I don’t know how she did it, but my hair and makeup looked even better than it did for my bridal portraits! Another thing I wanted to mention that I loved when looking through her portfolio was that I actually saw girls who looked like me! Representation is so important. And Katie, you nailed it. I also appreciated that she took the time to get to know me on a personal level. She even asked what kind of music I like to listen to, which I noticed was playing while she was doing my hair and makeup. (She loves Bruno Mars as much as I do!) My makeup lasted all day, and it photographed beautifully. Thank you for everything, Katie!

While some vendors had to back out- Katie and her team came through. They worked so hard to make everyone look BEAUTIFUL and were SO fun to work with! Trust me, those extensions, lashes, and full face will stay in place all the way until the day-after brunch. Katie’s skill set is beyond admirable. he wedding day so chill and relaxed. After our trial, I knew that not only did I make THE best decision hiring Katie, but that I had a new best friend on my radar. Katie is SO funny, has the best taste in podcasts and tv shows, and has THE best playlists. Are these crucial to looking like the best version of yourself on your wedding day? I have no proof to back this up, but based on my experiences with her, yes...yes they all help. I asked Katie to make me look 'like a prettier version of myself, while still looking like myself', as well as for an up-do that would stay UP all night, even after a ridiculous amount of sweaty dancing, and she delivered more so than a mailman. I would not hesitate to recommend Katie's services, even though I would selfishly like to keep her a secret so that she cannot find clients who she might love more than me.

When we had the hair & makeup trial, she drove all the way out to my mom's house which is pretty rural. We immediately loved her personality and humor and felt so good about hiring her for wedding. The trial was fun and it looked gorgeous. On the day of the wedding Katie and her assistants came in all smiles with great attitudes. My bridesmaids felt like movie stars, getting hair and makeup done under professional lighting. It made me so happy to see them feeling so pampered- after all being a bridesmaid can occasionally be stressful too! Katie and all of her assistants were flexible and adjusted to every bridesmaid's personality, style, and preferences and ultimately they looked AMAZING. For my own hair and makeup, I decided I wanted a little more dramatic look than the trial and Katie adapted flawlessly. It was the prettiest I have EVER felt! I am not exaggerating. Beyond that Katie was a joy to have on wedding day because of her positivity. My Austin April wedding had a surprise cold front and it was in the FORTIES.
