Up to the last minute we were trying to figure out if we had enough tables and napkins etc and we got there there was only 5 tables in the pavillion and so thank goodness we had our own trucks to go grab 20 more out of the barn up the hill. We had to ask where the brides and grooms will be getting ready, and no one really greeted us when we got there the day of, we had to seek them out. Kind of unproffesional. But the venue and setting is worth any kind of hassle. The Elkhorn mountains are the backdrop with the Prickly Pear Creek running through it and there's horsshoes at the pavillion and lots of french doors to open if the weather is nice. It was the most perfect setting to have a Montana wedding, the pictures with the big sky made it the most wonderful day of my life so far.

elped wipe all of the chairs dry and even offered to help move all of the chairs to the barn in case the rain didn't let up. The storm quickly passed and we had a wonderful ceremony down by the river. I highly recommend!

fully decorated, and Denis and Stacey are incredibly accommodating with their time and their pricing. We had to plan our wedding from another state, and they made it easy on us by coordinating directly with our other vendors and being super helpful and responsive over the phone and e-mail.
If you are looking for an upscale barn/ranch wedding location in Central Montana, I highly recommend the Kleffner. You might need to bring your cowgirl boots, but if that's your jam, then this is the place for you.

There is a second building that is smaller that they are currently improving and will be a great space as well. There is a grassy park with Prickly Pear Creek running through it that make a great place for an outside ceremony. Stacy and Dennis Young are great to work with.

The barn was perfect, lovely, and totally fitting for a Montana wedding. The owners are doing a wonderful job of renovating and improving much of the historic building and grounds....
However, they were unreasonable and even insulting about decorations in the barn. They originally told us we could decorate how we liked, but changed their tune by the time our wedding date approached. They had hosted a wedding (a service they offer) and had arranged lights and tulle in a way they liked, after which they told us we couldn't move or take down anything they had put up. So even though we didn't like what they had, we were unable to change it to reflect our own tastes. And when we did our best to work with their arrangement, they called and made unnecessary and unprofessional comments about our decorations, saying they did not like them. Despite our issues with the owners, our reception was perfect, and the barn awed the guests with its rustic beauty and charm.
