Music is one of the most important things in the world to me, so naturally finding a wedding band that would rock was my highest priority. The Funktion did NOT disappoint. I specifically was hoping to find a band to play a lot of funk, Motown, disco and classic rock hits. They literally were perfect for our event. Everyone at my wedding was so impressed by them. Ken was a pleasure to work with and made the process super easy since I was pretty clueless on the whole wedding timeline. Thank you guys so much. You really made my day extra special and I really could not be more grateful. Hire this band.

Search no more!! From the first note it was clear that we made the right decision. After the first song everybody wanted their info for their next party. Impressive song list played to perfection. Professional and caring. Absolutely made our party a great success without all of the typical wedding fluff!

I wish there were more stars!!! The Funktion did an absolutely amazing job for my daughters wedding. They were accommodating to our quirkiest requests and performed them with style and stunning sound. Everyone in the band was so sweet, helpful, kind - just perfect! Their sound was beyond amazing. Every song was right on the spot, and the party rocked all night long! I could tell because we were all exhausted and sore from dancing the next morning. Every person at the wedding commented about how awesome the band was! They made an already stunning day magical perfection!

They played our wedding on October 27th and were absolutely amazing! Everyone loved them and wanted to hire them for 2 upcoming weddings. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a band. Ken was also incredibly responsive anytime we had a question. They made our wedding complete!

The music selection was off the charts. My family and friends were tripping over themselves on how great you are Best band we have ever come across! We hired the Funktion because they not only rock - the vocals were sensational, horns awesome - and play the widest variety of music without sounding cheesy. We are in party mode immediately once we think of you. Hire this band!!

Best thing about our wedding is that everyone was smiling and dancing - the entire night! Ken and his band are incredible and guests could not stop saying how amazing they thought the music was throughout the entire ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Our wedding would not have been the same without these unbelievable musicians. Not only did I feel great from the very beginning since we first met - From coordinating with our event coordinator and reception venue, to having thorough conversations with us right up to the week before, they knew just how to make our wedding fun for everyone. . That care showed in their music.. It was important to us not to have the typical wedding sounding band as many of my friends and family are also musicians. They are the real deal. The music had to be great and it absolutely was!!!!! Thank you -Fans for life!

The Funktion was the perfect band for our wedding. They are so unique and just absolutely amazing all around. Ken went above and beyond to make sure our wedding music was exactly what we wanted- he met with us twice before so we got to know him as well. Our guests and us were so impressed and were up dancing the whole night. Their style is funky - fun and alive allowing for everyone with all different music tastes to be happy and Really enjoy. They are so versatile - and then rocking. My husband and I feel like we not only found the best band , but we found life long friends as well. I want to have a party just to use them again! My husband and I and all our our guests had the time of our lives! Thank you so much Funktion Band for helping us create the wedding of our dreams!

Fabulous Band!! WE LOVE THEM!! Elan, Topaza, Ken, Gus, and the boys rocked the house! Our guests are still commenting on our wedding band--we will follow them to watch them at other events. They truly enjoy what they do, and it shows. They are passionate about making sure YOU have a good time. We knew we wanted to book The Funktion after hearing them play just one song. They were lively, energetic, talented, charismatic and so well rehearsed, it was incredible the way they segued from one song to the next with their medleys and how they mastered such a broad range of songs to cater for every taste. It was a total no-brainer for us, and we were happy to let them choose the music for our wedding as we felt they'd be able to gauge the crowd better than we could. It definitely paid off, they had the floor full all night and they were absolutely magnetic capturing everyone's attention! A band can make or break a wedding and we hit the jackpot with a band who threw themselves into the whole evening and played amazingly. The Funktion...where do I start?! They are without a doubt the BEST band that ever and if you want to have the party of a lifetime, you need to book them ASAP. The band is OUT OF CONTROL good - they have an eclectic blend of singers and musicians and they cover every musical genre. . The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone wanted more. They closed the night with Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and everyone went crazy. Our friends and family are still talking about how good The Funktion is and how much fun they had (people literally couldn't believe how awesome they were!). My Dad and I are already talking about planning a party in the near future so we can book them again. This band completely made the party and I am so thankful they were able to play for us. Long story short, don't look any further than The Funktion Band!! End of story. Karey and Michael

I can't say enough good things about this band!! From the very first time I talked to Ken, he was professional, helpful and very responsive. The months leading up to the wedding included picking the set lists and what not to include--he made it all a breeze. They did everything they said they would do with very little direction which allowed me to enjoy my wedding hassle-free. And can I tell you how amazing they sounded?! Everyone was asking who the band was because they were so amazed at how great they were. People were dancing from the first song and didn't sit down the whole wedding! It was money well spent and I would hire them again in an instant. Thanks Ken for making my wedding the best it could be!

We looked at many from this site and all seemed pretty much the same and way too expensive. Then we saw the Funktion live. They were great with us and did not pressure us. We were very comfortable enjoying their company after a show they did in November. When they say world class - it is for real!!! Blew us away when we saw them in November and then for our big day on March 7th!!!

It was if we were dancing to Stevie Wonder, Pink, Sly and The Family Stone, Bruno Mars... all at the same time-live!! The repertoire is so deep - there was nothing they could not play. We are so happy to have chosen The Funktion for our wedding! They sound like no one else - unique and just superb. Service from our first email to my review has been just the best and remarkably easy. Personal, caring, and the singers are just the best I have ever heard. Many thanks to them for making My and Morgans' day THE BEST! Thanks Funktion band!!

The Funktion was absolutely a delight to work with! From the first call to the call a week after my wedding- just spectacular. We chose them because they have an amazing sound and their price was almost half of the rest...and to Justin and I sounded so much better!!! Ken's process for getting to know you, whats important to you for your wedding and what kind of music you want is impeccable. So after a great experience leading up to the wedding, our expectations were HIGH - very high! which we felt was impossible to match..And they exceeded them tenfold. I found The Funktion online and had my parents go check them out since I live out of state. They were blown away by their performace at a wine festival and they brought the same awesome energy to my wedding! Everyone was on the dancefloor all night! They were the best! Ken is so awesome and sweet to work with too- I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding band in NJ or surrounding area!

I wanted to just say this was the greatest event of my life.. Not only due to the fact that this is my wedding.. Due to the entertainment was simply on another planet..Everything was amazing -out of this world good!! My Fiancee and I heard about the The Funktion from a friend who lives in NYC. Everyone was ecstatic and when they performed at our wedding a few weeks ago. The joy amongst our family and friends was 10 times what we could have dreamed! We dealt with Ken in the band and he was super responsive and professional throughout the whole booking/planning process. We hated the idea of booking a band through a booking agent and having zero contact with the musicians throughout the booking process. We had Kens cell phone number and he would happily step away from what he was doing to answer our questions. About a month before our wedding, Ken called us to run through the schedule from top to bottom and went through every little detail thoroughly. This was awesome They had EVERYONE on the dance floor and their song selection was perfect !!!!!

The Funktion came recommended to us by one of our bridesmaid's sisters. She had nothing but great things to say about her own experience with them. We agree! From the start organization and package detail was helpful in deciding what we needed for the night of our wedding. Ken was our band leader the night of and we just had the best time. He kept the night moving but never made us feel like we were being rushed from one thing to another. Additionally, he learned a few Phish songs which he and the band played during our dinner (my husband's favorite band). This helped add just a little personal touch to our celebration. We received SO many compliments on the band! Just The Best

I cannot say enough about the amazing performance from the Funktion at the Cairnwood Summer Wine Tasting. Our guests raved about the music and it blows my mind that you were able to get the crowd dancing. This band turned a simple wine tasting into a memorable party! Also – all of the band members are so professional, kind and easy to work with. It is refreshing to meet a group that you know is having fun and truly enjoying the event as much as we are. It truly was a magnificent night!

Our guests are still raving about the band - 2 years later. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were executed better than I could have imagined and the Funktion worked with our DJ seamlessly. The thing I appreciated most was that they didn't need much direction for me at a time when my other wedding vendors were asking a million questions. I just gave them the play/ don't play list and they completely understood our vision. Also, I appreciated them learning our favorite songs as well. I booked the band based on the performance I experienced at the friend's wedding, and the service experience provided for my wedding matched the amazing performance. We will be recommending the Funktion to all of our friends!

At my daughter's request (who had seen the Funktion before at a wedding) I went with this band and her rave reviews about them. I met Ken and he was agreeable and did everything we/ I wanted, including special songs. It was a bittersweet night as I had lost my mother the night before, and I was really just going thru the motions, but I can tell you that EVERYONE there,did nothing but DANCE and party the whole night which is what my daughter and son-in-law wanted. I'm not sure much of the food was eaten, because not many people were sitting down!!!!. At the end of the night, as people came up to thank my husband and I, they said it was the best wedding they had ever been to,because of the atomsphere the happiness all around, and the BAND!!! People actually asked who they were!! That tells you something. They are awesome. You will not regret it. Promise!! Marla & Jim

When you think you know music and how good a live experience can be - then listen and enjoy The Funktion. Our main goal was to have a blast at our wedding and we really wanted to see our guests enjoy themselves... boy, did they ever! The band was so talented,fun and energetic! Funktion was everything we had hoped for and more! If you're looking for a band for your wedding, look no further because Funktion is your answer. We had people dancing from the minute they started playing and were begging for more by the end of the night. I'm not sure anyone even had a chance to sit down, that's how good the music was. Guests were raving about Funktion long after the wedding was over. Ken is super responsive, professional and will work with you to make your wedding night perfect. If you are torn by the decision of hiring a band or not; all I can say is HIRE THIS BAND! You will not be disappointed! Ken and his team are professional, organized, and take the time to get to know you as a couple, what your likes and dislikes are, and really work to customize your reception music. During the evening Ken told our guests it would be the best wedding they had ever been to, and he was right! We actually got a thank you note from one of our guests telling us how awesome our wedding was! The dance floor was packed the entire evening.
