A review will never be enough to thank K. Marina for being such an incredible team to work with. They were professional, thoughtful and went above and beyond from booking to the day of. They were always proactive in communication, making me feel at ease and allowing me to fully trust them. They were kind and thoughtful as for example, I had requested to have my trial on my birthday and they made arrangements and shifts to make that happen. Aside from their professionalism, they also just do amazing work. My glam team, Ang and Melissa, showed me their expertise in flawlessly executing my hair and makeup look. I asked them for glam, and they delivered. I had told Melissa about an insecurity about showing my ears which conflicted with my slick back hair style and she worked her magic to give me the hairstyle while camouflaging the insecurity, I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day, thanks to them. My bridesmaids and mom also agreed, as I got several comments from them throughout the day so excited about their look. They went above and beyond again on my wedding day, as last minute Ang gave me full sized lip products (I chose to have a red lip) to make sure I had some for touchups later on. This was so kind, and absolutely not part of what I booked, and I was very touched by the gesture. They were also just so much fun to have during the day, completing the little pre-wedding crew. Could go on forever, truly. Do not hesitate to book this team - they are AMAZING :)

There isn’t enough time to describe how amazing this experience was. From the trial, to the day of the wedding, we felt supported and seen. Nikki is fantastic, extremely kind and an amazing artist. I showed her my inspiration, and she followed through with the exact style and I loved it. She made everyone feel beautiful and brought a great energy to our bridal suite. I highly suggest booking them for your wedding!

Nikki and Lisinda did such a great job with hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids! Somehow, Nikki created the same hairstyle on six different women with totally different hair types! Lisinda made everyone so comfortable with their makeup that by the end of our session, even the most skeptical bridesmaids wanted false eyelashes! They were communicative, on time, and professional. I even got a little bridal makeup kit with the lipstick, gloss, and setting powder! 5 star!

You will not find better than K Marina Beauty!! Both Kristal and Nikki were not only amazing at what they do but they were so fun to be around and made a pretty stressful day a little less stressful. Kristal did my makeup and 6 other bridesmaids and we all had such big smiles seeing ourselves glammed up for the big day. Nikki blows my mind how good she is at doing hair. She made my vision better than I could have imagined. Book these girls!! You won’t regret it!

I cannot stress enough how much Kristel & Nikki were a delight to work with. I know how picky I can be with my own makeup, so it was hard letting someone else take the rein, but Kristel did such a flawless job. Nikki gave me the bullet proof glamour curls of my dreams. I was worried about the hair not lasting, but the trial hair lasted me 3 days, so I knew it would be perfect for my long wedding day. Not only that, in order to be ready for my morning Vietnamese tea ceremony (since we had it same day as our western wedding) these girls has to be ready to rock and roll at 6:30AM. They showed up 15 minutes early & did such a great job doing all my my bridesmaids hair/makeup & my mother. Kristel was also able meet back with us at our second location, on a busy Satural in Seattle, to do our touch-ups. 10/10 would recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with K.Marina Beauty and was so delighted with the results for my wedding. They're so skilled in helping yourachieve your ideal look and are able to be flexible with any feedback. My mother and I have very thick hair, but felt like it was the total opposite when we watched Nikki perform her magic. They're prompt, communicative, and so talented. I cannot recommend them enough.

Kristel & Nikki are such fun people that you should definitely hire for your special day! I first met them at their studio for my hair & makeup trial, and 2 hours passed by really quickly since we were just chatting the whole time. Both Kristel & Nikki were very accommodating to my preferences & requests, but they’re also professionals who honestly told me what they thought would look best on me. At the end of the trial session, they told me to look at the mirror and told them everything that I wanted them to change. They fixed a couple of things and told me to reach out to them if I thought of other things later that day. I sent a long email to Kristel the following day with some more adjustments, and on my wedding day, they did everything perfectly, just like what I imagined! Ladies, definitely buy the package that includes a trial session. Trial session is so worth it! On the wedding day, Kristel & Nikki did hair & make up for me, my bridesmaids & moms (6 hair & 6 makeup in total) and they were so efficient in their work (they did all of that in 4.5 hours)! Also, the makeup stayed great for the whole day! When we did the photo session under the cherry blossom tree, it was raining outside, but the makeup stayed great for the ceremony and reception. The pictures by the waterfront and the wedding cake were taken 6-7 hours after they finished doing my hair & makeup, and they still looked flawless. I would definitely recommend Kristel & Nikki to anyone!

If you are looking for a HMU team that will work hard to understand your vision and make you feel beautiful on your special day...I cannot recommend K Marina Beauty enough. The whole team was so kind and professional. They have such an attentive team that truly cares about each bride and bridal party they work on. I cannot say enough about Kristel. We were so grateful when we were able to book with K. Marina Beauty when our original vendor fell through. From the moment we first communicated to the end of service, Kristel was incredible. She was so attentive, not only to my vision of what I wanted for my wedding style (vintage with a touch of glam), but to the little details that I wouldn't have considered for myself as someone who doesn't know a lot about hair and makeup. She communicated with us consistently and was incredibly professional. I was very nervous, but she put me at ease with her positivity and personality. She gave me clear direction throughout our time together and explained to me each step of the way what she was doing. Trusting her was so easy and I truly felt supported. I was absolutely stunned at how beautiful she made me look and I was blown away by her skills. I had never felt so glamorous before in my life. Hiring her was the best decision I could have made for my wedding. I would recommend her and her team to every bride.

Kristel and her team (especially Diana and Nikki) were such an amazing breath of fresh air both at the trial and the morning of the wedding. Kristel is really amazing and does everything she can to ensure everything is perfect! I had gabby and Nikki for my wedding day and they were fabulous and attentive! They did touch ups and welcomed to fix anything that anyone in my party did not like. Kristel came recommended to me and it was everything and more! After my hair and makeup trial, there were some things I wanted to do differently on my wedding day, and gabby and Nikki pulled through. My makeup stayed the ENTIRE night, even with all the tears and dancing. During my wedding planning process, I would have appreciated a faster response during our correspondence, but really everything else was perfect and amazing.

This team was lovely. After corresponding with Kristel about the look and what I needed for the wedding day, I hired Gabby and Hazel to do make-up and hair for myself, my five bridesmaids, and two mothers. The two of them worked seamlessly together, from my trial (which was a fabulous afternoon together with the both of them, sipping on some wine and cracking jokes) to my big day. They were also both receptive to adjusting my look to feel even less like I was wearing make-up (which I rarely do) - I really felt my best on my big day. On my wedding day, I was severely under-the-weather, and they rearranged their “who’s sitting in the chair” plan around making it so I went last – which was not the plan. Gabby worked with only natural light coming in from the windows (no fluorescents or ring lights for make-up because it was all giving me a migraine), and Hazel worked to curl everyone’s hair – including mine, last-minute – to still be on time for family photos, which was a feat. Gabby was also able to do my make-up while I was sitting near the floor with my back to the window. The two were troopers and so respectful and responsive to the twists and turns of getting all the ladies ready on-time. I could not recommend my team enough for the seamless and professional experience they gave myself and my girls! Thank you, Hazel & Gabby!

I'm so, so glad I used K.Marina (formerly K&D Beauty) for my wedding hair and makeup! My wedding day team (Haley for hair, Danielle and Kristel for makeup) were so sweet and set an awesome tone and pace to the start of wedding day: upbeat, fun, and tons of laughs. We don’t keep things too serious in my family and they joined right in on the fun. It was pouring rain on the day of, but Haley and Kristel were great about giving me tips if I wanted to do an updo or not - and it turned out beautifully (kept it up). From day 1, Kristel is responsive and makes things really easy to understand as far as packages and options. At the trial, the team really takes their time and wants all of your feedback so the wedding day goes smoothly! They made all of my adjustments and feedback on the day of to ensure I looked beautiful but still felt like myself. Cannot recommend this K. Marina enough! Now to find another special event I can hire them for 😊

Kristel, Nikki and Lisinda were amazing! My bridesmaids and I loved our hair and makeup. It lasted all night. I felt and looked beautiful even on two hours of sleep haha. Go for the eyelashes if you can, it adds a beautiful touch. They have several services to choose from and can mix and match to what works for you. I like how they can travel to your venue. They are friendly, organized, communicated well and quickly. Trial went well and open communication is encouraged which I liked. Nikki and Kristel gave advice and I loved how they also considered my dress and the photographer’s style in my makeup and hair. Something that I would not have thought about. I can’t wait to get the professional photos. I felt comfortable and they helped make our special day beautiful. 🥰🎂👰🏻‍♀️

Kristel and her beauty team are the absolute best. From start to finish they made me and my bridesmaids feel absolutely beautiful. They spent the entire morning with us and we're so patient as we took photos, cried, and even made TikToks. I expected to be stressed my entire wedding morning and I absolutely was not. I know this team had a lot to do with that. If you want a team you can trust with all makeup and hairstyles it is this business. As we went through trials and day of they listened to everything I wanted, were clear and organized throughout the process, and were flexible with any changes we asked for from trial to wedding day. Kristel was understanding and had great communication throughout to make sure it was exactly what I wanted on the big day, and she exceeded all my expectations. Nikki is phenomenal and so talented! She gave me advice on what kind of hairdo would look best with my wedding dress and made it go perfectly together! She even brought hair pieces for not only me but for my bridal party and both moms! She listens to what you want but also offers her expert guidance. My trial went well and I was happy with my trial updo, but she improved it even more on the day of! She was on-time, prepared, and flexible and made an already stressful day go smoothly! Kristel was also very accommodating with my needs. My original hair and makeup artist had my wedding date wrong and canceled on me two months out, but K&D was luckily available and fit me in. Kristel created a hair schedule for us that fit with our wedding day schedule so that everything flowed nicely. Highly recommend booking K&D for your wedding!

Wow! These ladies were amazing!! I looked and felt so beautiful! My bridesmaids were stunning! The girls were so friendly and amazing at what they do! I highly recommend!!

Kristel and Nikki are amazing and I’m glad I booked them for my wedding! They were so welcoming and so much fun during my trial. It was as if we were old friends hanging out. For my wedding day, I shared my thoughts about changing my look a bit and they understood the assignment! I gave my full trust in them and they did not disappoint. Kristel is INCREDIBLE! She encourages you to be brutally honest so it wasn’t awkward to make tweaks during the make up trial and she nailed it the day of my wedding! She remembered everything I preferred and I couldn’t be happier with my hair and make up, it photographed beautifully. Kristal was amazing! My trial was so calm, and I felt gorgeous, my hair was perfect and both hair and makeup lasted hours. The day before my wedding there was an emergency and Kristel handled it perfectly. I have an allergy to rose and sandalwood, which can make makeup very difficult. Kristel & Hazel were very careful to make sure I didn’t have any reactions or issues. My bridesmaids had and makeup were also amazing. I’d definitely book again!

Kristel was amazing! I had a destination wedding Kristel came to my cabin for a pre trial and for the wedding. She has such a great personality she made me feel super calm and comfortable. I guess you could say she grounded me the day before my wedding. The makeup and hair turned out amazing. Guests who never trust anyone to do their hair and makeup were raving. She knows what she's doing. I looked the best I've ever looked. Kristel has an option where you can book her for the whole wedding day which came in useful because during the ceremony guests who had their makeup done by her were crying and needed touching up. She stayed with us while we got our photos taken and touched me up during the process. Even my husband said she was worth every penny we spent. 10/10

K&D Beauty was amazing to work with! From the beginning, Kristel was so incredibly helpful and made me feel so comfortable. I have never been one to wear makeup very often, and at my trial, Kristel made sure to walk me through the different options and benefits of the types of makeup. I was impressed by how she took the inspiration photos I sent as well as what my dress looked like to tailor the look and bring everything together so beautifully! On the day of my wedding, I was running around all morning and pretty stressed. When it came to sit and start hair and makeup, Kristel and Nikki were amazing! They were quick to work but also had me laughing so hard I was able to relax and finally take a breath. They were such a joy to be around and my nerves changed to excitement! When my hair was done, I didn't like how a bit in the front was hanging, but when I mentioned it, they were so amazing and were able to fix it to my satisfaction no problem! I 1000% recommend K&D beauty to any bride looking for hair and makeup for their wedding. You won't regret it and will look beautiful on your special day!

Very happy I booked K&D for my makeup and wedding party Hair/makeup. Sometimes took a bit long to get a response sometimes but was able to set up a trial. I had Danielle for my makeup looked fantastic. She had me send her pictures and make changes for wedding day based on how makeup lasted through the day of my trial. Did excellent work on hair as well for bridesmaids of different hair styles. Also were patient and dealt with day of stress amongst the wedding party/MOB. Hair person had accidentally left before doing hair for MOB but was quick to return and make sure it was complete/looked great. Danielle was so patient, kind, and fun to work with.

Great work but unreliable. When I originally booked Kristel I scheduled a hair and makeup trial 3 months in advance of my wedding. I have emails and texts to back all of this up. I scheduled a trial photo shoot with my wedding photographer on the same day. A few days before that date (that I scheduled 3 months in advance), she sends me an email (not a call or a text) to say she has to push my time back from the morning to the afternoon, and thanked me for being understanding. But she didn't ask me ahead of time. She just changed my time. I had to reschedule everything with my photographer because of this. My fiance was flying in early from his bachelor party for this date that's why it was such a big deal. If that wasn't bad enough, on the rescheduled date and time, turns out only a makeup person and not a hair person would be available. I found that out the day before. Which meant I unexpectedly had to do my own hair for a professional photo shoot. In addition, that meant I had to go back into the studio at a later date to get both my hair and makeup done for a full trial before the wedding. Then when I finally make it to the hair and makeup trial, even though she asked me to put together a pinterest lookbook for makeup/hair ideas, on the day of my appointment it was clear she hadn't looked it at. She asked what I had in mind when I had sent that to her weeks before at her request. After all of that you would think that she would be more responsive. However, I had to ask her a simple question 3 times (what color/type of hair should I purchase, what is the schedule for the wedding-needed it in writing to send to my wedding party). It would be one thing if there were documented email/phone records showing I was an unreasonable, ridiculous human being (constant calling and texting, late night calls etc...) However, I had minimal contact with her and basic expectations I would have from any vendor; basic expectations which all of my other vendors easily met. If you email them or call or text you get a response in 24 to 72 hours. That's not alot to ask. I didn't even have a large wedding party (3 for hair, 5 for makeup). I also didn't have some fixed idea of what perfect looked like for my wedding. The only emails I sent were just about scheduling/prep for the wedding. As a result, I made the decision to completely change my hair and makeup vendor 3 weeks before my wedding because I just did not feel secure. That's how big of a deal this was. I was terrified but it was the best decision I could have made given what my experience had been. The new vendors took their time (45 to 1.5hrs for makeup per person, 2hrs for my hair), when I felt I was being rushed before. My new makeup vendor took professional photos with lighting so I could see how the makeup would look with the photographer. All in all, the most unfortunate thing is that KD Beauty does excellent work. I think they need to hire someone to manage their schedule so they aren't rushing hair/makeup (right after my hair and makeup trial another bride came in before I was even done). My wedding for whatever reason just fell through the cracks and they were not responsive.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Kristel and her team with K&D Beauty. From the day I reached out, I knew I wanted to work with her! She was nothing but helpful, kind, and genuine. I went into my hair & makeup trial feeling super self-conscious and worried that I wouldn’t feel pretty or confident on my wedding day. But K&D Beauty goes way above and far beyond to make you feel like an absolutely beautiful bride. I got my hair and makeup done, along with my matron of honor. And they also did hair for 3 other members of my bridal party and we all got exactly what we were wanting and hoping for. They really do bring your bridal beauty visions to life. All while being some of the nicest, funnest people ever.

First off, these ladies are awesome! All my bridesmaids and I loved the way we looked on my wedding day. These ladies are so fun and professional and are masters at what they do. They make you feel so special and beautiful on your big day. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! If you have the opportunity to book them for your wedding do not delay! They are all around wonderful at what they do!

The K&D team gave me the perfect natural forest princess look- it was exactly what I wanted. They really listened to and respected my vision. Excellent communication, excellent pricing. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring them! Super nice people as well, were very easy to talk to.

Wow, I was speechless with how beautiful my hair and makeup looked on my wedding day. Nikki and Dani were so wonderful and I enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them too. Having my trial and getting to meet Kristel was so fun too. These women are so so wonderful and I can’t recommend them enough. My moms and bridesmaids looked so beautiful too! Look no further for your bridal make-up! Kristel and her team are absolutely fantastic! My wedding was 7/24/21 and throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding they were extremely flexible and communicative. I loved the fact that there's a bridal trial included where you get to have a glimpse as to what your big day will look like! I bought some extensions which Kristel gave me recommendations on and they were great quality and easy for them to install. Last minute I decided to add one more person for make-up on the wedding day and Kristel was able to accommodate which was beyond incredible. They really created such a perfect look and made me feel so special, and constantly asked to make sure I was satisfied with my look because it was the most important thing to them which was exceptional! Not to mention they are expertly skilled! The make-up itself felt light on my face like I wasn't even wearing anything and lasted all night! Overall very very happy with their service and I doubt anyone could do any better because they were perfect! Please do yourself a favor since you're reading reviews and reach out to Kristel and her team, you will not be disappointed!

If I can give 10 stars, I would've. Like many of you out there, my wedding was impacted by covid and we had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021. My original makeup & hair lady was already booked for my 2021 date, and I was referred to K&D Beauty by my wedding planner. Sure, I wear normal day-to-day makeup, your typical foundation + concealer, draw some eyebrows, draw some eyeliner, slap some blush & contour and that's all. Do I know makeup? I know enough for the basic needs; I have the same makeup routine for work, for "special occasions", for birthdays, for anything. Its safe to say, my makeup knowledge is limited. I heard a lot of "oh brides should pinterest around what wedding look they would want" and "brides should know what looks good and what doesn't". Yeah that's a hard NO for me. I thought I would know what I want, but I don't. I don't know if a smokey eye would look good on me, I don't know if shimmer would look good on me, I only know what my Sephora sales lady tells me to buy, I go buy it. I pinterest'd around, saved some pins on what I think I would want, made sure I did my homework before going to my trial with Kristel. And let me tell you - Kristel understands my pain of not knowing what I should do with my make up. She didn't ask for an inspiration picture and just recreate the look, copy & paste it on my face. She took the time and asked me "what do you like from this picture and that picture", to learn about why I like what, and from there, create a look that FITS me. During the trial, we laughed, joked, and she was beyond patient with me and my teary eye because again - I do not wear eyeshadows. I'm not used to having a brush touching my lower eyelids, but Kristel handled it like a champ, giving me breathing tricks to help calm my eyes (yeah did you know, there are breathing techniques to help with watery eyes? i sure didn't know that!). I'm asian, so I have yellow undertone skin. I wrapped up my trial with a peachy/ orange/ bronze tone eyeshadow, a color that I thought would NEVER work on my yellowish skin, but it was the MOST BEAUTIFUL MAKEUP I've ever had on me! Not only was it too pretty to take off, my skin DID NOT BREAK OUT from all the makeup afterwards! On my wedding day, not only did Kristel recreated my trial look with ease, the makeup stayed MATTE (as I wanted) and my wrinkles in between my eyebrows (like when you have angry eyebrows) NEVER CREASED, its like i got botox and they never showed up the entire day! I had an outdoor wedding, in July, and it was H-O-T. But my makeup stayed on the whole time, and I was NEVER oily! Okay enough about makeup, I have to also give kudos to Nikki, my hair god. I have natural wavy hair (2B to be exact), and it never holds curls. It doesn't matter which hair salon I go to, my hair just never stay curled for more than 2 hours. But not if Nikki is doing my hair! My hair trial (same style as wedding day) stay curled for 3 days, and my wedding hair stay curled for 5 days. FIVE freaking days (okay I did put it up in a bun starting day 3)!! Nikki also did all of my bridesmaids hair, and all I told her was "please give my bridesmaids a low messy bun", and voila, everyone got a low messy bun, even the bridesmaid that had shoulder-length hair got a low messy bun! How? Its because Nikki knows what she is doing! She came prepared with anything and everything you can think of for hair styling, and did all 6 bridesmaids hair in just 2 hours! HIGHLY RECOMMEND K&D Beauty!

My wedding was 7-13-21, Kristel (owner) made the selection process for a Beauty vendor the easiest choice. Not only was she the nicest individual I spoke to in my search was she was the most competent, communicative, and open. She's also the only one with a portfolio of people that look like me, plus size, different, alternative, etc. Incredibly through and detailed, I loved it and she was the only choice from then on out. Karmen (artist, day of) was so nice, roled with the different personalities, was able to do my viking warrior queen hair, jammed with ym maid of honor, and was overall a fantastic addition to my get ready as well as a professional. During the trial, Kristel took notes and fixed all of the little things I wanted to change about the hair and makeup. K&D beauty were so thoughtful and woke up early to be at my apartment by 6AM and even brought me coffee and a breakfast sandwich 💗 i loved the time I spent with them. First off, Kristel and Michelle did such amazing work. Kristel did a makeup trial the day I had an engagement shoot and I never felt better about myself. Michelle did my hair trial and she hooked it up! Both of them are masters in their craft. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. They have been super flexible during Covid and provided amazing service. Kristel made all of my bridesmaids feel 100% and me too. She helped us look and feel our best (plus she is a great hype woman). Michelle knows hair and has the talent to prove it. I had a bridesmaid whose hair doesn’t hold curls very well and she did amazing making her bun look flawless. I had another bridesmaid with quite short hair and once Michelle was done you would have never guessed my bridesmaid had short hair. These two are the best in their business.

I’m so happy that I was able to work with Kristel and Diana for my big day! They worked with me very last minute as I only had a month left until my wedding. I recommend Kristel to every bride! She did my makeup and Makayla did my hair and they both did such an amazing job with the look I was going for for my wedding! Not only that, but when our plans changed a few times because of COVID, she was so accommodating and sweet! Extremely happy with my experience with K&D! I had the bride-only package with Kristel for makeup and Makayla for hair. I used them for my engagement shoot as a "test run" for the wedding and I highly recommend doing this -- on the day of the wedding I knew exactly what the schedule would be, what the vibe would be, and what the hair/makeup would look like both in person and in professional photos.
