I'd had difficulty finding a hair and makeup person for my big day. After 2 trials, I tried Cat and loved my look! She took the time to adjust my look as needed until I was completely happy. The day of the wedding, she and her team showed up right on time and we all looked amazing. They helped my big day go smoothly and I never felt prettier. Thanks Knockout Beauty!

I can't say enough fantastic things about Cat Smith and her stylists at Knockout Beauty. Cat did my hair and makeup for my bridal portraits and my wedding - and it was everything I wanted it to be. Cat is very down-to-earth and understands the stress brides are under; I found it very easy to be honest with her about what I wanted, what I did NOT want, whether I liked something in progress, etc. She was wonderful to work with. She was willing to try a few styles with me and made some great suggestions that led to some positive changes in my overall look for the day. Her gentle honesty was spot on. On the day of the wedding, she and Carlisle did hair and make up for all 7 bridesmaids, my mother, and myself. Everyone looked gorgeous and the getting ready experience was fun - as it should be! Cat was also willing to work with me on price and answered about 100 emails from me containing questions which she always responded to, and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her (unlike other vendors I worked with). Cat is professional, talented, very knowledgable in her field, charismatic, kind, and made my wedding day a breeze. Cat did my makeup as a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding in 2013. When I found out I was engaged a few months after her wedding, Cat was the first vendor I booked. While her prices had gone up (it had been a year, so no surprise there), I knew she was worth every penny!! Cat was very flexible in scheduling a run through and was very responsive if I had any questions or concerns during the wedding planning. She has a great personality and is great to work with. I hope she is the makeup artist for the next wedding I'm in :)

Cat at Knockout Beauty did my hair and airbrush makeup for my August wedding in Dallas. She did a wonderful job! I loved the option of having a trial run so there were no surprises on the wedding day. Cat was responsive to my questions, flexible on timing, and she came to me on the day of, which was awesome as it allowed me to spend the morning at my house with all my girlfriends. Her prices are competitive, she listens to what your vision is for your wedding day, and the results of her work are great! I received many many compliments on both my hair and makeup! Cat made me look and feel like the most beautiful bride ever. She did an outstanding job during my "trial" for my bridals so I knew I would look my best on my actual wedding day. My MOH and MIL also had their makeup done by Cat and her assistant, and they loved their makeup just as much as me. If I can find an excuse to get my makeup done professionally again, Cat will be the first and only person I call.

Cat & her assistant Carla did an INCREDIBLE job on my bridal hair & make up, as well as hair & make up for my 4 bridesmaids. Our ceremony was in the morning and our reception in the evening, so I decided to hire a professional for hair & make up since we needed it to last alllll day. Cat & Carla showed up so early it was still dark out, but were so much fun that we didn't even notice the ungodly hour. We had all lengths and styles of hair and everyone was extremely pleased with their hairstyle. They also did a fantastic job on make up., doing a beautiful job on a variety of complexions. The make up photographed beautifully (no white wash out!), held up for 14 HOURS and we all received constant compliments all day long! I could not have been more pleased with my decision to hire Knockout Beauty for my wedding - the value we got was unmatched. Thanks again Cat & Carla!

Let me start by saying that I should have known better when I walked into her "test studio" and it was the dining area of her apartment with a mirror propped against the wall. 1.Her brushes were in a plastic cup sitting on a cart and did not appear to be clean 2. She used her liquid liner directly on my eye, disgusting! 3. She used her mascara directly on my lashes, disgusting! 4. Her airbrushing appeared to be okay in the crap lighting she had but as soon as I stepped outside, HELLO BABY PROSTITUTE. My face was white except for a dark brown line on my cheek bone she called "contouring". I couldn't even run my errands, I had to run home and take all this off! 5. she curled my hair towards my face, who does that past 1989 6. She gave me a stye! with her filthy make up tools! I have my engagement party in just a few days and I have to attend sporting a huge stye! 7. She claimed she cleans her brushes...but she told me she had another bride appt minutes after mine...that is zero time to clean her brushes and sanitize, no wonder my eye was infected! Her only saving grace was that she offered to reimburse me for the $60, I have not received it yet and doubt I will. This was a terrible experience and I do not recommend her if you want to look at all like yourself on your wedding day. She just put a random picture that looked like what she did to me! Unbelievable! She also told me she was expecting a bride any minute, so she did not have 30 minutes to sanitize, that is a lie as well! She also failed to mention that she used an open used liquid liner on my eye which is likely what caused my eye infection. The pic she took of me is not natural light, it was in her apartment. I took my pictures when I got to my car (that is natural light) The make up was harsh and the color was uneven and did not match my skin. This is not bridal in any way! I've had my makeup done many times at many counters and I have never experienced anything like this. It's very upsetting that I have to go to my engagement party with a stye because of this! update: I still have not received my refund, I'M NOT SURPRISED!

Cat did a beautiful job on my hair and makeup, and my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law looked great, too. She includes a hair and makeup trial for free, and she brought an assistant the day-of for no additional charge. She was also willing to start working at 5 a.m. so that we could be ready in time for my 10 a.m. ceremony. I highly recommend her!

Fun, relaxed, patient, interested in trying new styles. I had not had my hair styled since high school and had never had airbrush done, but I felt like I was just chilling with one of my girlfriends during the trial and day of.

Kat and Carlyle are amazing and work beautifully with all ages. they listen to what you want and over deliver every time. Always prompt they get the task done with ease and leave everyone looking their personal best and happy.

My daughter had her special day Saturday 9/21/2013. Cat was magnificent in making sure the bride looked her absolute best. Let me start by saying that I was the bride that had EVERYTHING go wrong. I had two vendors go MIA; I fired my DJ three days before the wedding, and my aunt got in a fight with my photographer. The upside? My girls and I looked awesome! Cat was professional, friendly, fun, and understanding. When I said that I had changed my mind about something, she rolled with it. She is a wonderful person who I have referred to my best friend for her wedding next September. Cat is just a special person, and when I look at pics of us from the big day, I am so glad that I picked Cat to do the make-up and hair. She is a true style genius. I simply cannot say enough good things about her. Also, my matron of honor is a very fair skinned black woman with very sensitive skin. I told Cat and she was totally prepared. Also, when my best friend sweated off her make-up and messed up her hair, she touched it up no problem. She truly is a beautiful person inside and out!

I was married July 27 and was lucky enough to snag Cat for my bridal hair and makeup. Cat was extremely professional, fun, and open to any and all ideas I had for my wedding day look. She offers a free trial run which was so helpful in figuring out what worked best for what I envisioned with the professional tips and advice from Cat. The results were more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed. She also did my moms make up, eye lash application and hair extensions for the big day and she looked drop dead gorgeous. I could not have been happier with Cat's services on my wedding day and happily recommend her to anyone looking for a true professional for your special day. She is worth every penny!!!

Cat went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with my look. Getting married during the hottest part of the year in Texas, I was definitely nervous if my makeup would last. Cat applied airbrush makeup and it held up the entire night! My husband thought I looked beautiful and I could not be happier with the results! Not to mention, Cat offers a FREE runthrough, so I knew what I would look like the day of my wedding before hand. She was great and I have recommended her to several of my friends!

Cat is absolutely wonderful. She worked with me to make sure that the hairstyle I wanted was done right. She understood my style and the look I was going for and was great about coming up with a great makeup plan and hair plan.

Cat did my hair and makeup for my July wedding in Louisiana. Her goal is to make you look as beautiful as possible and she will make sure you are ecstatic with the results. She sees what a little TLC with makeup and hair can do for women and you can tell that she absolutely loves what she does! She has this amazing sense about her to where she can look at you and see everything that needs to be done, be that facial contouring, covering minor imperfections, the best colors for your skin tone, and exactly how your hair should be styled based on your dress, veil and personality. She did airbrush makeup for me (my first time) and it was flawless and stayed all day (and night). She took special time with my hair to make sure that it would stay even in the hot and humid Louisiana summer. I could not have asked for a better hair and makeup vendor. If I had it to do all over again, I would use her hands down (and I think my husband would want me to as well). I wish everyday was my wedding day so that I could have her do my makeup and hair everyday!

I loved working with Cat! Right now, she does makeup as a side gig, but you can tell she is so passionate about it, and her work is amazing! I have no doubt she will go far in this industry. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I absolutely loved it. Cat offers a complimentary run through, which was one of the reasons I decided to try her out. I really had no idea what I wanted, so I let her give me a “classic bridal” look, and I felt absolutely beautiful! Our wedding ceremony was at 11am, so I needed someone that could travel to me, and Cat will travel anywhere in DFW. We also had a big gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception, so Cat even offered to come back and do touchups in-between. Cat’s prices were very reasonable when compared to other makeup artists in the area.

I was referred to Cat through a friend at work. I absolutely loved how my friend’s makeup looked on her big day so I gave Cat a call. I could not have been HAPPIER with my results. Cat did a spectacular job on my hair and makeup!!! She was calm, listened to me and made my day a really enjoyable one. I am already recommending her as a must have to my friends. Cat did the airbrush makeup application for my recent wedding in a very professional manner with great attention to detail, bringing my best features to light. She was very diligent, even with a couple of flower girls running around, and about 8 other women in the room! I loved the way I looked! She also did my new sister-in-law, my MOH and my mom and we all looked our absolute best and loved it. I recommend her to anybody who wants their face/hair done for a special occasion. Her rates are also reasonable, compared to other vendors in the area.

Cat's work is absolutely amazing. I'm a pediatric rn that doesnt wear makeup on a daily basis. I didnt know where to start. I didnt want to look too overdone and i looked great. She made me feel special with a natural glow. I had my trial run on the same day as my bridal shower. I got so many compliments. Everyone said i looked great and I still looked like myself. Cat was a dream to work with! We met on a Sunday afternoon for my run through for hair and make-up and she also did my hair/make-up for my bridal portraits. I had a morning wedding and she showed up on time with her assistant VERY early the morning of the wedding. She totally understood the look I was wanting and executed it perfectly. I have recommended her to another bride and she was extremely pleased as well. Her pricing is very competitive and excellent work for the price.
