After years of dreaming of the perfect wedding, I found it at Knolle Farm & Ranch. Our wedding was on a gorgeous fall night, with lots of stars and everything I ever dreamed of. ...
The owner, Beth work with us on every detail, and added lots of special touches. She is very organized after lots of years of experience, keeping us all straight on finances, schedules, and taking the stress off me and my fiancé, and our families. She is super detail oriented..I have no idea how she keeps it all straight! The entire facility is charming, with lots of old history, not just a new , typical event facility. Even our family stayed and we made a full weekend of it, with massages, a small rehearsal dinner, and, now, lots of memories. I would recommend Knolle Farm & ranch totally.
The actual venue is nice, however most of the B&B rooms are in need of a major makeover.
The food was great, and the staff was very kind.
This is a beautiful venueand their food is great, everything was perfect!
I loved getting married at this scenic site in South Texas. I wanted to get married outside surrounded by wildlife. This place provided that. They also took care of food, which was...
decent and fair priced. The flowers were my biggest complaint. They were beautiful...just not what I wanted. I was very specific on the colors I wanted and the ones I did not want (pink). I was also very adamant that no ferns be used. It seems though that my wishes were ignored. I ended up with pink flowers everywhere and ferns in the corsages and boutonnieres. I think the venue combined flower orders for the three weddings they booked on my weekend and did whatever was cost effective for them. I wish I could've used an outside floral vendor. If so, I would not have paid for flowers I specifically said not to use. I also did not like that there wasn't staff members immediately available to contact. We ran around all morning trying to find people for things we needed. The staff also tried to short us on food saying we only paid for 100 even though we paid for more plates in our final contract. I did not appreciate having to discuss matters like that during my reception. It upset me and no bride should have to deal with that on their big day.
Regardless of these mishaps, my guests said they enjoyed themselves. They said it was beautiful. They weren't aware of all the miscommunications at the venue, so in the end it was okay. If you loved the location when you tour it, go ahead and book the wedding. Just be aware this is a person's personal home and ranch. It is not a professional wedding business but a personal hobby of the homeowner. I expect I would've been happier with a more professional venue.
