My daughter got married at Knotting Hill Farm. John, the owner was amazing and was so helpful. He also catered the meal! Literally we brought and set up the decorations and he handled everything else. We also had Geof as a DJ, he was so awesome and the life of the party. If you are looking for an amazing, affordable wedding venue/reception option this would be the place for you.

Knotting Hill Farm is a barn wedding venue located in Jordanville, New York. The farm was established in 1802, and the on-site team has worked hard to maintain its charm. The facility sits on over 65 acres of well-manicured lawns that provide stunning scenic views that include natural arching apple trees and granddaddy oaks.. With so much to take in, there is no shortage of photo opportunities. When you host your wedding celebration at Knotting Hill Farm, you also receive complete access to the farmhouse for the weekend. With it's restored stained-glass windows in the chapel to the scenic views the venue is a truly unforgettable combination of authentic, rustic charm, and modern elegance.
Knotting Hill Farm offers a variety of settings for you and your partner to choose from, including indoor, uncovered outdoor, and covered outdoor options. In addition to being a beautiful place to host your wedding, the venue also offers a large farm house for you and your guests to enjoy. It features eight bedrooms and three bathrooms, and can sleep up to 20 of your loved ones. There are original wide plank floors, a washer and dryer, and TV and WiFi. Guests can relax and enjoy the huge front and back porch swings while they take in the scenery. There is also an additional, separate one bedroom/one bathroom guest house. The wedding party can utilize the get-ready rooms for pre-ceremony preparations. The barn itself is two stories and is wheelchair accessible on both floors. There are five bathrooms available.
You are welcome to host several wedding events at Knotting Hill Farm, including your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, and engagement party. Elopements can also be accommodated. They are happy to provide you with an event planner to assist throughout your engagement. The team can offer both bar and catering services, and outside, preferred vendors are welcome. Bartenders can serve house, speciality, or premium beer, wine, and liquor. You can choose between a limited, open, or cash bar. A champagne toast and signature drink can be arranged for an extra special touch. The on-site staff can help with set up, clean up, and cutting the cake from your favorite bakery. After several meetings, and John answering my mother’s every text, the wedding day arrived on 9/27/25. It was truly the wedding day of my dreams thanks to John and his awesome staff! Everything went off without a hitch. My DJ Geof was funny and got the crowd going!
Side note: I, the bride, follow a plant based lifestyle and I was accommodated so wonderfully! I provided the recipes and John ensured they appeared at my bridal shower (held at his restaurant The Estates at Maplewood), rehearsal dinner and my wedding day!
Special Note: My mother was ill at my wedding. I won’t go into details but John had someone go out to get items to help make my mother more comfortable during my wedding. To me, that’s what truly makes the difference between a good venue and an amazing one who’s willing to go above and beyond.
10/10 would recommend this to anyone!

Through the entire planning process, John was quick to respond to questions and was great about laying out just about every possible option we had to consider. His staff the day of were incredibly flexible and attentive. We opted to do our cocktail hour and dinner through the venue as well and all of the food was delicious and it was hard to narrow down our choices because the entire menu sounded so good! We also opted to use the in-house DJ, Geof, and from rehearsal to the last song played, he was not only great to work with, but knew how to keep people out on the dance floor all night. Thank you is far from enough to thank John, Geof, and the Knotting Hill Farm staff, but thank you!

w it was the perfect place to celebrate the start of our forever. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking,rustic, elegant, and filled with charm in every corner. The barn, the views, the grounds, it’s like stepping into a fairytale.
What made our experience even more special was the incredible team behind the venue. John Yule, the owner, was so kind, attentive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. His warm and easygoing presence helped us feel supported from day one. Every interaction with staff reflected genuine care and professionalism.
Our wedding day was nothing short of magical. The flow of the day was seamless, and the setting created the perfect backdrop for every emotional, joyful, and unforgettable moment from our unity flower ceremony to the surprise officiant. Our guests were blown away by the beauty and the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere.

field for an amazing spontaneous sunset photo op! John is so thorough and thought of everything. You have to hire his DJ, Geof Rogers, who was the life of the party! He coordinated perfectly with John, as well as our photographer and videographer. The food made by John's chef, Sal, was absolutely incredible. He easily accommodated our guests who had dietary restrictions, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was. All of John's recommendations for other vendors including the florist and baker were spot-on too.
We can't thank John and the Knotting Hill staff enough! The fact that we were able to use his farmhouse and honeymoon suite for the weekend as well made our wedding not only a special day for us, but an entire weekend event that was memorable for all those in our wedding party! We would work with John and his crew again in a heartbeat.

dding of 100 guests and everything went perfectly. John was so helpful and great at communicating all the way up to our wedding day. He’s an honest, hardworking guy who helps couples get exactly what they want for a fair price. The venue was beautiful and so perfect. He helped down to every last detail including making sure the rustic venue was adapted for mobility-impaired family members and helping the procession run smoothly on the big day. He was hands-off enough that allowed us to feel like the day was ours without feeling rushed or limited to times or rules. I highly recommend Knotting Hill for any couples who are considering using it for their special day!

ceremony inside at the last minute because the rain was off and on during the morning. Our wedding party was able to reherse at the venue and stay the night before to make getting up early for hair/makeup a breeze. The in-house DJ (Geoff) was extrodinary and was so great to work with. I am so happy that we chose Knotting Hill Farm for our wedding and I would recommend it to any bride/couple that wants a laid back, stress-free wedding. John doesn't do weddings for the money, you can tell because he doesn't nickle and dime you like the bigger corporate wedding vendors. His pricing is fair and mostly all-inclusive depending on your package. He's a honest and trustworthy guy and he is in the right job for the right reasons. I'm so grateful for all the questions he answered, all the proactive communication he gave us, and most importantly for all the work he did for us. THANK YOU, JOHN!!!

Knotting Hill Farm is an absolutley beautiful place, amazing outside estetics for all of our pictures, beautiful rustic barn for our picture perfect day! My husband and I first saw the venue well it was still under construction, we could tell John had every intention of putting his heart and soul into making this one of the most beautiful places he could, and he did just that and even more. We have nothing but amazing things to say about John and Knotting Hill Farm!
