Joy did a fantastic job for us! Leading up to the ceremony, I was anxious and nervous, Joy stepped back and adapted to my running around and I know she got some great photos to me...
morialize our day. We wanted to spend time with our guests during cocktail hour and not spend the entire time doing photos, Joy was extremely respectful of this and spent time with us getting some great photos together while being respectful of our time. Then the reception... it's a bit of a blur, but every time I saw something going on, Joy was out of the corner of my eye capturing the entire evening. Part way through our celebration, we had some group photo requests and Joy was extremely adaptable and worked with us to do what we wanted.
One of the things I most appreciated about the experience is that Joy was completely patient with guests who wanted to get the same shot she was after; she'd let folks take their cell phone pictures although I know it disrupted her work, that may not seem like much, but it really meant a lot!
Joy was awesome! Nice, professional, with great results.
Joy's name perfectly suits her! She brought us so much JOY on our wedding day. She was on time (early actually!), professional and super fun! She listened to what I wanted and came...
ready with her own incredible ideas. She knew the venue (the Columbus Athenaeum) like the back of her hand and knew all the best spots to take us. My husband and I have already discussed how we can't wait to include her in many other aspects of our life -- prenatal photos, new born photos, family photos, etc. We look forward to keeping her a part of our story for many years -- she's just that good!
I hired Joy after she took our family pictures a couple of years ago. We had hired someone else (friend) and after viewing there work, was not satisfied. Joy was able to accommodat...
e us on such short notice. She is super efficient and gets things done in a timely manner. Highly recommended!
My husband and I absolutely loved Joy! She made us feel so comfortable all day and really contributed to making us feel incredibly special. My husband and I did the first look wher...
e we saw each other before the wedding. We were both nervous about it at first, but Joy took SO many pictures and we wouldnt have changed it for the world. The only thing I would be able to complain about (and not really) would be waiting to see the pictures but she edits every one,and I would rather have perfect pictures than not be patient. Joy stayed with us all night.. she got there while we were getting ready at 1:30 and left at 10:30 when things were slowing down. She does not charge by the hour and will take as many pictures as she can!
I can't say enough good things about Joy! She's very creative, fun to work with, has great pricing and packages. Most of all I love her outgoing personality. From the first meeting...
we had with her I knew she was the one for us. We liked her so well she will be doing our son's senior pictures in the fall!
My husband and I highly recommend using Joy as a photographer. She was reasonable in her services and extremely professional! We are waiting to get the actual photos back, which ...
I am sure will look amazing. Joy was all throughout the venue and crowd taking very artistic and formal shots. She was very efficient with her time. We only had 45 minutes between the ceremony and the entrance to the reception and she was able to get all family and extended family photos done, bridal party photos and many many candid photos of my husband and I. She had scouted some cool areas outside Downtown Columbus and there were a few budding trees that were beautiful that she found just around the corner. We can't wait to see the pictures! Thank you so much Joy - she is HIGHLY recommended!!
Joy is so easygoing and awesome. I would use her for any type of photography. She also allows you FULL copyright which is a huge benefit.
Joy's photos are amazing, and that's only a small part of her! She helped keep the day going smoothly and was very personable not only to the bride and groom, but everyone at the w...
