Kona Sweets

Janel made an amazing chocolate cake for our wedding. She used chocolate mousse between the layers and buttercream frosting for the outside. It was soooo delicious. She made it look like the ocean. It was artistic and so yummy.

Janel was wonderful and very attentive when it came to emails and getting our cake just right. We had a destination wedding in Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’I on the 12th of June 2018 and did not initially think we had time to do the fun planning things like cake tasting prior to the wedding, however with Janel's help and flexibility to squeeze us in for a cake tasting we got to pick out our flavours.. which were SO delicious. We chose their famous carrot cake made with pineapple chunks and macadamia nuts-highly suggest to get the full Hawaii affect especially paired with luau style menu -and chocolate with Grenache.

We had Kona Sweets make our wedding cake (a two tier Chocolate + Lilikoi cake), and it was absolutely to die for. I would highly recommend Kona Sweets for any occasion!

We ordered our wedding cake from Kona Sweets and it was delicious. Janel is laid back and easy to deal with. She had great ideas, and made a separate gluten free cake for our guests with dietary requirements. We highly recommend Janel and Kona Sweets for your wedding or event.

Janel of Kona Sweets recently made our wedding cake for 40 guests. What an incredible cake! Everyone commented how delicious it was and asked for more! The design was exactly what we wanted and it fit the wedding decor perfectly. Janel was a pleasure to work with, always responsive to our questions and was kind enough to make us several samples ahead of time for a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend her for wedding cakes on the Big Island!

Janel of 'Kona Sweets' was fantastic! I contacted her from China and within a few e mails we were set on cake design, concept and delivery mode! What a beautiful and PERFECT cake was delivered to Volcano Hawaii!! Not only did it look beautiful it tasted natural and classic! Our guests are still raving about the amazing weddung and the STUNNING cake! Thank you Janel for the love and attention you gave to our wedding cake! We will remember it forever!! I highly reccomend Kona sweets without reservation or hesitation!

We went with Kona Sweets because of the use of organic food, however it was the worst decision I made. When I saw the cake, i couldn't believe how they could send me it. I sent pictures of the bright colors and examples of the marbling and DID NOT get what I ordered. It ended up pastels and the wave border was awful. They even managed to get the flavors and filling wrong. her response was "I am very sorry to hear that as I was disappointed with the marbling as well, but once I started was too late to start over." I'm glad I was wearing waterproof mascara.
